They picked up the new one, installed it and hauled away the old one in less than two hours. They even re-plumbed the supply to the new heater and replaced some bad pipes I had not even noticed. They even came back out to blow out sink and shower lines that got blocked with 100 years of pipe sediment. Our house is 125 years old, but they knew how to handle it. Will definitely use them again.

I told her that was highly unlikely, we would take care of it ourselves and would be using someone else in the future. She said "Fine" and hung up. Such a disappointment. They did some work in my house 2 or 3 years ago and we were quite pleased. They were very cost conscious back then. So sorry their policy has changed.

I called the other McCalister plumbers out of West T and they were able to unclog it within 15 minutes. I don't know enough about plumbing to know what should be "hard" or not, but I was surprised they couldn't fix it and even more surprised after the other company fixed it so quickly.

The most impressive part was that Kevin was very patient and extremely knowledgeable about the work that he was quoting and explained step-by-step exactly what he will be doing. After receiving several bids, I went ahead and asked for a quick start and they jumped on the working mediately and finished up in one day! I even had to step out and told Kevin I would be right back and had another contractor show up and Kevin was nice enough to let the contractor know what I needed done since I was not present, this is called going above and beyond! A technician came out and inspected it. He said he needed to turn water off to the whole house but probably would run into a problem with the shut off valve, and recommended that be replaced also. The total bill was going to be almost $1000. I wanted to think about it so paid him $85 for a service call and told him I would get back to him in a few days. In the meantime I spoke with a friend who has some plumbing knowledge and he told me how to make the repair. I didn't need to shut off the water at all. It cost me less than $6 and took about 5 minutes. I definitely feel I this technician was trying to swindle me. I called the owner and asked to speak with him to give him a chance to rectify the situation, but after leaving a message because he wasn't available never got a return call.
