It saddens me to make this review because i've been coming here to get my dog groomed for a while now. unfortunately this last time that i took her we came back home and was scratching and pawing at her eye for a few days. i eventually took her to the vet and turned out she had a pretty massive scratch on her eye which resulted in a bad eye infection that costed me almost $1k. due to the recklessness of this place i have no choice but to find a new groomer.

Benji's, the owner is very nice. My pup always looks spectacular! It's easy to access and plenty of parking!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would . Took my dog here 3 times ! And each time the price went up . From 70 to 110 to 115 . the owner is the most rude person I have ever met and tries to intimate you . This time Iam the most upset , they cut my dogs inner ears , water went in his ear (he keeps shaking his head non stop causing to develop an ear infection) and cut his nose !!!! Yet still over charges ??? I get it ... some places because of inflation PRICES HAVE GONE UP BUT NOT FOR DOG GROOMING ???? And to over charge me and hurt my dog ???? Couldn't post video of his ears . But definitely will warn everyone to stay away .

SO SO AMAZING!!! I found this groomer on Yelp when I was just in the area looking for something last minute. And honestly I'm so glad I stumbled across this place. Literally the groomer is SO sweet! I love in Glendale and the 45-50 minute drive to come here is so worth it! My girls come back dry (which is a pet peeve of mine when they return my pups still wet), they smell SO fresh (not like wet dog) and they do not smell musty at all, and my girls are always so happy here. The usual places I go to take my pups haven't been the best recently, so I honestly don't mind making the drive here. We use a metal prong to train and more often than not, my girls' fur turns a bit grayish from the metal and it's usually impossible for me to get it off. When I take them to our groomers nearby, they're never able to fully get rid of it. But at Benji's, idk how but they're always able to get their fur looking the whitest it's ever been! The owner really took the time to get to know me and my girls, and what I love is that there is a play room for them to hangout at while they wait for their turn to get groomed! Other places just stick your pups into a kennel and they sit there for hours Benji's Dog Grooming really truly cares about your pup and my girls always come back looking the freshest they've ever been

10/10 would come back. They were able to take my dog in same day appointment. The place is very clean. My dog looks SO good and fluffy. They def know how to groom poodles. Highly recommend to give this place a try!

Do yourself a favor and please don't bring your dog here. I told them to just trim my Shitzu's hair when I came back after a couple of hours my dog's hair was completely shaved. I told the guy that my dog looked different and he had the guts to tell me "well he got a haircut!" They will ruin your dog's appearance here. Photos below for reference.

    Rachel H.

my wife specifically asked the groomer to just trim the chest and rear of my dog. She goes to pick him up and HE IS COMPLETELY SHAVED. This is unacceptable, corgis are not suppose to be shaved at all as it can irreparably damage their double coat. At least they refunded but if i could give zero stars i would. we have been here before and they did it right, idk what the hell the groomer was thinking. Their groomers are untrained in knowing proper care for specific dog breeds. DO NOT GO HERE

    Our puppy Nala

We've been bringing our puppy Nala here since she was 12 weeks old, she is now 8 months old and loves going to Benji's every time. When she sees the owner she gets so excited because she knows it's her spa day and loves all the workers there. Honestly can't go wrong with this place.

I've been bringing my Mini Schnauzer here since she was 3 months. On occasion I bring my lab. Once a month she gets a cut and it's clock work. I recently discovered they bathe ALL dogs with Dawn dish soap. This time they shaved my schnauzer confusing her with another schnauzer. Giving the other schnauzer my dogs cut and then giving me the other dog. I knew immediately she wasn't my dog. Shaved her body/skirt and left her face long. They apologized profusely and when I took her back this time for grooming they acted like I was crazy and had no idea what I was talking about. Do NOT bring your pup here. They bathe your pup with dish soap and do not listen to instructions.

This place did a amazing job with my Vixen, it was my first time here, staff was nice & professional. I was called within 2 hours to pick her up she looked & smelled clean & no shedding! I will definitely continue to bring Vixen here in the future.

My elderly dog was left with a great haircut and no nicks. I appreciate groomers who are easy and patient with him and he got that here.

If you're looking for a place where your dog will be loved like family, look no further than Dog…read moresitting by Ally I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ally and the care she gives to every dog. From the moment I met her, I could tell this wasn't just a business--it is truly her passion. She has such a kind heart, an incredible work ethic, and a genuine love for animals that you can feel immediately. My standard poodle, Chewy, goes to daycare with Ally , and when we went to Hawaii for nine days, I never once worried about him. Instead of being kept in kennels, the dogs get to live together in a comfortable home environment. They can relax on dog beds, sleep on furniture, play together, and simply be dogs. It's such a refreshing and loving alternative to traditional boarding. One thing that meant the world to me was how often Ally kept me updated. Every morning and every evening she sent me photos and updates of Chewy having fun, relaxing, and making friends. Seeing those pictures while I was away gave me complete peace of mind and allowed me to truly enjoy my vacation, knowing he was happy, safe, and loved. I also love seeing how much thought she puts into making the dogs' days special. During the hot weather, she even sets up fun water play for them, and it's obvious from every picture that the dogs are having the time of their lives. Although I've only known Ally for a short time, I genuinely admire her. She is young, hardworking, compassionate, and has built something truly special. It's rare to find someone who cares this deeply about every dog in her care. Chewy absolutely loves going there, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to leave him with Allie again. I recommend Ally's Boarding & Daycare wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a safe, loving, and happy place for their dog. Your pup will be treated like family, and that's something you simply can't put a price on. Thank you, Ally for taking such incredible care of Chewy. We are so grateful to have found you!

I guess it's time for another update because somehow every year I become even more grateful for…read moreAlly and Travis. Lately, I've seen so many heartbreaking stories about doggy daycares: dogs getting hurt, neglected, escaping, or simply not being treated with the love they deserve. Every time I read one, my first thought is the same: thank God Nova has Ally and Travis. Nova has been coming here since he was just 6 months old. He's now about to turn 5, which means they've been part of nearly his entire life. They've watched him grow from a timid, reactive puppy into the confident, happy dog he is today. They know his quirks, his routines, what makes him nervous, what makes him excited, and they have loved every version of him along the way. As dog owners, we all know there are very few people we'd trust with our entire heart. That's what our dogs are. They're not just pets, they're family. And somehow Ally and Travis have earned a level of trust that I didn't even know was possible. I've left Nova with them for the longest periods I've ever left him with anyone, and I've never once laid awake wondering if he was okay. There has never been a moment where I questioned whether he was safe, loved, exercised, or cared for. That kind of peace is priceless, and if you're a dog parent, you know exactly what I mean. What means the most to me is that Nova makes the choice himself every single time. The second he realizes where we're going, he's beside himself with excitement. If he doesn't get to see Ally or Travis, he cries. When he does, he runs to them without looking back. As someone whose dog was once fearful of people, seeing him love someone that deeply tells me everything I need to know. Dogs don't fake trust. They don't pretend to feel safe. They either do, or they don't. Nova has never questioned whether Ally and Travis are his people. Over the years, they've been there through my work schedule, my vacations, family emergencies, and every moment in between. They have given me something I can never truly repay: the ability to go through life knowing that the biggest piece of my heart is safe. That feeling is something every dog parent hopes to find, and so few actually do. Even if life takes me somewhere else one day, if I'm ever back in town and need someone to watch Nova, there is no question where he's going. I would drive hours just to leave him with Ally and Travis because trust like this isn't replaceable. They're not just our daycare: they're part of Nova's family. If you're scrolling through reviews wondering whether this is the right place for your dog, I hope this helps. Five years later, after hundreds of drop-offs and pickups, I can say with complete confidence that choosing Ally and Travis was one of the best decisions I've ever made for Nova. They have loved him like he was their own, and I will spend the rest of his life being grateful for that.

Because of this, I decided "heck, I can afford for someone else to do this if it makes my life easier." I could not be happier with the deals and multi-visit packages being offered here. For $400, I got a total of 10 visits for the year! Granted, she is on the mini side of things, but if you look at prices literally anywhere else... this kind of deal is unheard of. To top this all off, my Pebbles is an anxious chatty type and a drama queen all in one, which has been a frequent complaint we have received from other groomers since she was a puppy. Here, she's heard and appreciated as a funny little girl with a big heart and personality. I also included some pics of my girl for reference on the price that I paid. AND for all dog parents reading this, keep in mind the price also varies by the weight of your furry friends.

He always comes back smelling well and they give him a seasonal handkerchief around his neck. Little touches that made the pricey de-shedding and grooming fees worth it ($125 for a grooming of large dog, 85lbs). I wanted to simply address this to a manager via email to show photos, but their contact form on the site is impersonal and gives no email address and no opportunity to upload photos. On his last visit on Friday, my dog came home panting and not wagging his tail. I just thought he missed me, but it felt out of place, more like a "hyperventilation" type panting. I didn't think anything of it until the next day, as I was petting him, I felt bloody scabs across his head. Till today I find more that's hidden in his long fur. I'm super sad because Andy's has done a great job with his de-shedding, and I know it's no easy task with his fur. But, he is the mildest-mannered service animal for kids with autism. He doesn't bite or bark or squirm, so to have big gashes like this on multiple parts of his skin after a grooming is a red flag. I won't be sending him to Andy's anymore. Very sad about it, but this isn't how you treat a dog or long-time customer. You disclose the cuts and address how to help treat them.
