Ive been coming here since I moved to Northridge 2 years ago. I'm SUPER PICKY on how my baby is groomed so that should say something. They are always so quick so I never have to worry about Simba being in the kennel long at all! I avoid places that keep dogs in kennels for longer than they should be. They never gripe when I remind them every time I bring him in how I want his hair cut even though they've been doing it for so long. I saw another review from someone else regarding the owner smoking heavily and I'm sure perhaps when no one is around,, she smoke inside shop as well. My puppy was there late April or early May. I called the owner immediately and she said ah no problem just put some cortisone Cream on your puppy's knee. Can you believe this ??? I took her to her doctor and paid over $1100 for the visit and the X-Ray. I don't need your money but all I want for your customers know that you guys are not looking our pets as our kids and looks like that they're just dog. My Luna is my life , if you guys don't understand that then it shows you guys don't care. I'm so upset about what you guys done. I am seeing lots of good reviews and I'm not saying that you guys doing to every pet and I'm sure that you're saying accidents happens sometimes but it should never ever happen. Your groomer are working as a job not as thinking as a matter of life and death for our love ones. I'm 100% sure that this injury happened when she was there and you guys ( All of you ) that were working there on that day saw my baby was crying loud and hard and so no one can say that they didn't hear it. Took my dogs here 3 times and unfortunately for them, each time was worse than the one before. Our first experience wasn't bad. We brought our dogs based on a recommendation from a friend. We appreciated how quickly they got back to us regarding scheduling. Both of my dogs had nail trims, and one of them had a bath and haircut. Both dogs nails were done well, without cutting the quick of the nail. The haircut wasn't the best, and it didn't smell like she had a bath, but we didn't complain due to how inexpensive it was. The second visit was when the problems began. It seemed that they took extra care when we were new customers, but on our first return visit they were much less friendly and although they kept my dog longer, it seemed like they rushed when bathing her and cutting her hair. She came home with some fleas, a few bloody nails, dirty ears, and an infected private area. We made as many excuses for them as we logically could, but this was definitely the first series of red flags. Our third and final visit was the worst. We brought her in for another haircut and nail trim. They called me to tell me it was time to pick her up and mentioned that "she was difficult and they MAY have clipped one or two of her nails a little short". They did such a bad job on her nails that at least 2 or 3 were bleeding and covered with quik-stop powder ON EACH PAW. How can you possibly be that bad?!?! More of her nails were bleeding than not. If that wasn't bad enough, they didn't even attempt a haircut, they just bathed her and destroyed her nails. My poor dog couldn't wait to run out of there. Not to mention that her ears were still just as dirty as they were when I brought her in. We won't be coming back and I would advise that you avoid this place for the safety of your pets. read more

Took my baby Milo in for a grooming, unfortunately we waited too long this time and had knots, Wendy was very professional and explained to us that she would have to basically shave him, we were saddened to hear this! However we understood, we proceeded with the appt. At pick up time I was really mentally prepared to see a red rat looking puppy! Lol but it wasn't as bad as we thought! Only thing that was negative about this appt was that his little ears had cuts, not sure from the machine or scissors. Made me a little sad. Other than that, everything was great. read more

I love this place. I have brought my shih tzus here twice! This second time they really needed some love with their haircuts. I grew their hair out for the winter and they were honestly two balls of fur. I asked for them to look like bobble heads, big heads and really short body cuts. The outcome was awesome. This is the absolute WORST dog grooming establishment. The owner is EXTREMELY rude, unprofessional, stubborn, and prideful. I took my dog to this groomer twice. The first time I went my dog got a nasty ear infection and when I shared the information with the owner she said it wasn't their fault. I gave them a second chance and I completely regret it. They nicked his side and there is a permanent scar and they nicked his nail from the base and cracked the nail. This caused his paw to get incredibly infected and when I took him to the vet he was put on medication and had a cast. And again when I tried to speak to the owner she declined that they had done that and refused to take ownership. And I get it, maybe my dog moves around, but it is my right to know if something happened during his appointment rather than finding out after I've left. If you love your dog just as much as I do. Do NOT trust this groomer. Quite frankly I wonder how my dog was treated when I wasn't there and while he was getting groomed. It's absolutely sickening and I'm shocked this women is still in business. read more

After reading the previous review and response back completely backs up as to why I also would never return. This was my 1st time there and my last. Maybe if the people working at this location would focus more on taking these complaints as constructive criticisms and improve where they lack you would have more returning customers. I dont expect a response back to my comment nor do I care to hear one. If you are unhappy with any dog services from this location dont expect to have anyone hear you out or find a happy medium. CASH ONLY PLACE. I took in two chihuahuas without an appointment and they were ready in 2 hrs on a Saturday morning. She listened to what i wanted and my doggies were soo happy when i picked them up! One dog just got a wash and a nail trim and that was $35. My other dog got his hair cut, washed, and nails trimmed for $48. Overall i was very satisfied with the service. Top Dog is top notch! Making my dog look like a million bucks. She is a furry double coat, so her hair gets into knots and attracts a lot of dirt and bugs. But I love to keep her hair long and fluffy. Wendy and her team works with me and does their best to save my dog's hair. I've been to other groomers around the valley. They cut it uneven, or completely shave my girl down because they don't want to deal with the knots. For a few bucks more, top dog is our choice. 2 times now back to back we've made appointments to bring our dogs in and they forgot our appointments and made another appointment on top of ours. The first time the front desk lady actually yelled at us and the groomer said we never did make an appointment until we showed them the messages we had with them. Even after showing them proof they were 100% wrong they tried to help the other person they made an appointment for before us even tho we made an appointment weeks is advance. The second time they told us right before coming in that they had to be somewhere and they would try to squeeze us in before going wherever it is they had to go. They did try to book us for the next day but we are busy and only had time today. How are you going to tell your client an hour before they come in that your busy and might be able to do your appointment? We make appointments because we're available at that time on that day.
