Chose this place to get the wife's Mach E repaired because they are in the State Farm network, and also they are authorized Tesla repair so figured they can handle any unique features of EVs. Repair looked good to me.. paint quality and panel fit looked exactly as expected. Its a large professional looking shop, that seems to be quite busy. Waiting room inside with coffee. Repair quality looked good. Couldn't see any issues, and paint quality seemed fine. Rental pickup/ dropoff is easy as the Enterprise guy comes to the shop to drop off the car. Drop off did take some time (I think at least 10min to wait for the guy to show), but return was really easy... just leave the key at front desk of the body shop. Only complaint is that it too much longer than expected. Was promised 1-2 weeks turnaround and turned out to be almost 3. And last few days I had called to find status and was told its just being detailed, but it still took a while. Which is a little strange. read more

In the initial phrase when trying to locate a place, I was very particular about the selection of shops since I had a BMW and I didn't want to further damaged my vehicle by letting just "any shop" work on my car. However, my insurance company referred me to them. They made this process seamless from the beginning to end. From keeping an open line of communication, to even assisting me with any rental needs while my car was being serviced. Everyone was very helpful and professional. This is a third-party autobody shop, run as a GEICO express service, and they're undergoing a bit of a renovation now. Big shop, paint rooms and more - used to be a former police impound lot, apparently. Lots of lifts and more inside, and a staff member was kind enough to give me a quick tour. Their work is solid, albeit unspectacular - they were able to put together parts on my car in relatively quick time, and they do use generic parts, though, not original manufacturer's, so that does make it cheaper for them. One thing unlike the Honda Autobody that I took my car to the last time - they don't detail the car after they're done. It smelled strongly of paint inside and was dirty. One star lost on that, one star gained for the tour and guy who called up the GEICO person who left early that Friday and allowed me to get my car back on-time. read more

Benner's fixed my car 6 months ago completely accommodating my schedule and respecting my time. Yet again, Benner's does not fail to disappoint! I went today as someone hit and popped out part of my bumper. I went to get a quote and Chris came out to look at my car. He asked for the keys and told me wait inside. All of five minutes later, he pulls the car back out and he fixed it. Knowing it was a lease, he also touched up my car and continue to say to bring it back if Honda gave me any issues. Tom looked at it and told me to save my money.. He got out a buffer and cleared away some of the abrasions and told me to get some touch up paint and go over the scratches.. Benners quoted me 5 days to repair my car. It's been 14 and impossible to get them on the phone. Called after 5 days and they told ne they needed another 4. After that they said Friday. On Friday they said Monday. Nobody ever bothers to call me and let me know there's been a delay. If I treated my customers like that I'd be out of business. Hope to see my car some day soon! Update: Benner's called about an hour after I posted. Car finally done. Work quality was very good. Final charges 27% above estimate. Insurance paid, so I'm not too concerned with that, but would have been if it was out of pocket. This would have been a 4 star review if they communicated timing better or updated me at some point along the way. read more

Quick update: a month later, my car is finally getting repaired AGAIN. I'm sure Benner's has done some great work with other clients, but I am not a happy client and I can honestly say I will not return here after everything I have had to deal with. I've had to deal with my insurance for a month to prove that Benner's was at fault for my radio not working; after many phone calls, I was finally approved to have it checked out a Subaru without having to pay out of pocket. After they dropped the headliner and inspected my car, they found that the wire that leads to my antennae HAD BEEN CUT, and then tucked back into place. OK, that's annoying. But I am now learning that this wire also affects my car's ability to defrost the rear windshield, and this has now evolved from frustrating to outright dangerous. Subaru wrote up a report backing my claim that Benner's is at fault, and the representatives at All State agree, and are now covering the costs. Again, this is a shame I even need to write this, because I am grateful for Benner's for repairing my car after an unfortunate incident. I am not sure if they covered up what they did purposefully or accidentally (either way is irresponsible!), but what I am frustrated about the most is that they did not claim responsibility and were short with me despite telling me I could come to them anytime to have any issues from their repairs corrected. I do believe they can do good detail work - but I just don't find them trustworthy after having to clean up after their mess. The BBB will be hearing from me as well. read more

I just had my 2011 BMW 535xi repaired here through GEICO after an an accident. I picked this place because of the GEICO express service, and I wanted to have the car repaired quickly. The work involved replacing and painting the front bumper, replacing fog light and few other parts after I hit a post on the side of the road. Quality of the work was outstanding, the paint matching was excellent and the service was very good. I read some reviews after I had given the car in for the repairs and was worried as some of the reviews were not great. My guess now is most people only write reviews if they have issues. I was given different estimates on time from them and geico-I was paying out of pocket for my rental which I attained from the little enterprise desk inside. Every attempt to get info from them on when my car would be available for pickup resulted in the answers being longer. Seemed very suspicious that they work closely with the rental company to get more money out of the customer. I also would not have dropped my car off on a Saturday if I knew it wouldn't be touched and nothing would be ordered by Monday. People were nice but atrocious customer service if you ask me. We used Benner's Auto Body in Cranford, NJ twice. They are professional and their personal interaction is very good. Benners has a relationship with Enterprise for rental cars. They have Enterprise reps right in the office. It's very convenient and the Enterprise people are very good. Benner's Auto Body is very thorough with everything including the inspection and estimate, making sure that all possible damage is inspected. There is a woman in the office who seems to be a manager. I wish I asked her name, but she does an exceptional job making sure that each customer gets great service. Both repair jobs were done very well. My pristine 2020 Subaru Outback was hit while parked in a hotel parking lot in Rhode Island a few weekends ago. Hit and run. It was a small dent, but prevented the driver door from opening (argh). My insurance company (State Farm) no longer works with any of the shops I've used in the past, so I decided to give Benners a try because they are a Subaru Certified Collision Center (figuring that would be safe bet... ). From the first phone call, the experience was great. Very customer-focused. Their service technician "bent out" the dent so that I could open the door and drive the car until the next day, because they didn't have a suitable rental available. I brought my car in the next day, was quickly in a rental (Enterprise upgraded me at no extra charge!), and was on my way. My car was promised on a certain day, and it was ready that day. Not only that, the repair was flawless AND the car was immaculate, both inside and out (cleaner than when I brought it in). More important, all along the way everyone who works there was friendly and personable and really really customer-focused. My accident occurred June 22, 2019 - hit while parked in my driveway by a neighbor head-on. Neighbor totally liable. I was advised by the GEICO adjuster Cliff to take my Nissan Rogue 2017.5 to the following shop Benner's Auto Body in Cranford, NJ. I had a business trip planned, and I could not bring the car in right away, I took the car on Saturday, June 29, 2019. From the outset the GEICO representative Cliff said the hood was not involved in the accident, it had three ripples on the the hood and the front end totally damaged. The ripples were never there prior to the accident, my car was only hand-washed. The tow hook was broken off, the headlights cracked, fender and grill damaged cracked in half. Well, I left the car there hoping for the best. I was promised the car by July 3. I called on July 3 the receptionist so rude and unprofessional. Did we call you? No, but you all said the car would be ready on July 3. Needless to say the vehicle was not ready. We will call you when ready. I said I hope you don't call me at 530pm when you close at 600pm. You have 24 hours from the time we leave our message for you to pick up your vehicle. They called on July 10, 2019, at 530pm, as I figured. I get to the shop at 545pm to pick up my vehicle, I inspected the vehicle. Benner's put back the broken parts and figured since I am a woman I would not say anything. I was extremely livid, a broken tow hook door, (my truck has never been towed) Benner's never replaced the headlight, never replaced the grill, fender, who knows maybe they just melded the parts back together. The car still had the green/pink markers on the car. Are you flipping kidding me? No flipping way is this acceptable. The grill and fender were way too loose that I took the tow hook door off and found that it was never replaced. Getting to the hood, had a 1-inch gap on one side and 2/3 gap on the other side. On each side, I can see under the hood of the car. Are you flipping kidding me? How is it possible to still be in business, do you have crack heads or alcoholics working as your mechanics, how they can still be in business? Another rep came out Edwin Ruiz to say what can we do to address your concerns? Fix the vehicle with new parts, it's insulting to the consumer to give your vehicle out to be repaired with the expectation that new parts will be used, they are skimming, so they can keep the parts or money for themselves and not purchase new parts that the consumer is paying. I did not want their rental any longer, I took my truck. Edwin promised to order new parts and to replace. July 10, I left a lengthy message with Cliff's manager Jennifer from GEICO to date, I have never received a call back from Jennifer. I received a call from Cliff the Adjuster on July 24, 2019, after my verbal complaint to GEICO. Oh, I can't help you picked Benner's Auto Body, how the BLEAP would I know who to pick, it was on your - GEICO's recommendation, Cliff said: Oh your parts are warrantied for LIFE, you can take the vehicle back to BENNER's the unmitigated gall of this fool, I guess they all are in on racket to rob the consumer. I took my vehicle back again to Benner's on July 14, they replaced the grill/fender and headlight. The hood was not fixed until I mentioned it again. Per Edwin GEICO does not want to pay for the hood, I'll fix it without cost to you, what a bunch of malarkey. They would never fix anything without being PAID. I had to go back again Saturday, July 20, for the cameras for the front and side cameras were disconnected. On July 24, 2019 I realized that my undercarriage lights were disconnected and of course, the tow hook door is popping out, OMG. And the headlight was a rush job, a gap it isn't flush with the body of the vehicle. If I don't get repaired condensation will get in and I will have a yellow headlamp. I can't with this place SHUT THE FRONT DOOR. They are the absolute WORST. As far as, GEICO is concerned, I dumped them as well. Oh, the car rental this is one-stop-shop/Enterprise Car Rental too. They really had the nerve to bill me $5.23, I filled the tank back to where it was when I picked the vehicle up, no garbage, trash left in the car as I did not drive it, only back home and back to their shop, they had more gas in it when I returned it. If you steal $5.23 from every customer I would say about $2615 per week that comes in this establishment that's an additional $31,000 a year. Also, the paint they used is not the same paint finish I have. My finish is a metallic black finish, BENNERs used flat black paint finish. I wish YELP had a ZERO star button to select. read more

I seldom write reviews for anything but after my pleasant experience with Benner's i jut had to recommend them. Besides the convenience of having the enterprise rep there to rent a car to keeping true to the schedule and taking time to explain all the work needed and done on my car, they have impressed me. I was further pleasantly surprised when after inspecting my newly fixed car i found out that Benner's went above and beyond the estimated work and covered some of the scratches and dings i had on my back bumper (which the estimate did not cover) and a rust spots on my passenger door and hood. They didnt have to do that but they did and it really took me by surprise. Just because of the fact that in today's world you do not expect people to go a little extra mile for you and it was a nice reminder that some still do. First of all, I would give this place negative stars if I could. What can I say about Benner's Auto Body? Not a single decent thing. My vehicle was brought here after my accident in April. The only reason I agreed to it was because my insurance company, GEICO, recommended it since it was part of their "Auto Repair Xpress" program. They explained that not only would the repairs be expedited, but that I would be receiving OEM (original) parts for my car. Because I didn't know any better at the time, I gave them the okay. At first, everything seemed fine. After sending them an authorization to work on my vehicle, I received updates through GEICO's website including the summary of repairs/estimate and photos of the damage. I had specifically informed both the claims representative and the adjuster that detergent had spilled all over the trunk during the accident and that it would have to be cleaned up. No problem there, it was noted in the summary. Fast forward to a month later when the car was finally "repaired". (To be fair, I should note for the record that I was out of town for a meeting when they called to let me know it was ready, and they did not charge me any storage fees. I was able to pick it up when I returned.) The first thing I noticed was how dirty the car was. Apparently they don't detail or even wash your vehicle prior to returning it. Upon closer inspection of my vehicle, I immediately noticed that the workmanship was shoddy at best. The panels in the damaged area were not flush, and some of the plastic molding/trim were not even snapped in. Now I didn't expect my car to come back brand new, but this was unacceptable. And that wasn't even the best part. I popped my trunk expecting to see it cleaned. Instead, it wreaked of detergent, and upon lifting up the spare cover, I actually found small pools of the liquid still present. Not only did they neglect to "detail and deodorize" my trunk as it was stated in the summary I received, they didn't even bother to look at it. Trying to keep my calm, I told them about it and my car was brought back into the service bay. Not even 5 minutes later, it came back out. I opened it up again, and took a look. I almost lost it. They must have done nothing more than to take a rag and wiped down whatever they could see. In fact, they missed several areas and the detergent was still visibly present. I told them to take it back, only this time I asked them why the repair summary stated that the trunk was to be detailed when they obviously failed to do so. The answer I received was a complete joke: "It just says that." Oh really? I was completely dumbfounded. Basically I had just been told by the people working there that when they say they will do something, they are really not going to do it, because well ... "It just says that." Not only are they misrepresenting the services offered, they are straight up lying to the insurance company. Essentially they are being paid for services not rendered. In fact, I plan on calling GEICO to let them know about this, as well as my overall negative experience. But I'm not done just yet. One of the plastic trim pieces actually had to be replaced, and they were quick enough to order a new part - as well as blame the "windshield guys" for the problem. Apparently they also outsource/subcontract another shop to replace the windshield, one that has equally poor - if not worse - workmanship than they do. No surprises there. A few days later, I get a call to bring my car in so that the new repair could be completed. After only an hour of arriving to the shop, I'm given back my keys and told that even though the new part was installed, the original problem still existed (albeit slightly better than before) and that they "did the best they could." Wow, if that's your best, I'd hate to see what your worst is. Oh wait, right. My trunk. At this point, I'm so fed up with this place that I just wanted to leave and never come back. As I'm about to get into my car, I'm reminded by one of the guys working there of how expensive that particular part was - even though the cost of it is entirely covered by my insurance. So why are you telling me? If it was so expensive, maybe you should have taken the effort to install it properly. Finally, I get home and take one more look at the half-assed job these people did on my car. That's when I noticed one of the adjacent trim pieces has a new crack in it, undoubtedly caused when they were "installing" the new part. I almost laughed out loud. It's like going to the dentist to have a cavity filled, only to have him accidentally remove several of your teeth. Exhausted and tired, I just lowered and shook my head in disgust. But I also couldn't help but to laugh to myself, because in the end, this place was a joke. read more

My car was hit and this place participates with the Geico express center. From the time I got there until I left the process was very easy they were super friendly! The receptionist wasn't that warm but you don't deal with her much . IVAN was AMAZING! He made sure everything was done to my liking my car was clean when I got it back as well! I'll return ! I previously wrote a 5 star review on this place, and wanted to update after having another encounter with Benner's. After getting my car fixed at Benner's (and being very happy with the work), I noticed my windshield washer fluid was not working. I called the shop and they told me to stop in any time (no appointment needed) and they would take a look. When I arrived they took my car right in, found a hose had not been re-attached and fixed it right away. I was in and out in 10 minutes.
