We picked the car up and the hood had smeared paint and some dings on the fender and who knows what else, my car has to go back to another body shop after they were through with it. After a deer ran head first into the driver side door of my 2011 Audi in broad daylight, I was pretty pissed off. Sam and the guys at prestige made the process painless and handled the supplemental adjustment with my insurance company. I dropped the car off, and in a few days I had a car that was repaired with all OEM Audi parts. Everything worked correctly and the paint color match and finish were flawless. Somebody with a good eye will know the car was repainted because the finish is significantly smoother than the factory paint. I strongly recommend taking a car here before anybody else. read more

Took my car here recently after a fender bender for an estimate. Sam was very nice and gave an honest estimate that didn't make me cringe so I ordered the part and dropped my car off two days later to be fixed. My car is still new so I was very nervous about the finished product not looking perfect. Not only was my car ready in half the time I was told, but it looked amazing! They even cleaned the inside and waxed the tires so they looked even shinier then when I first bought it. I couldn't have asked for a better or faster finish. They even gave me a jar of touch-up paint for future scratches which I thought was a very nice touch. All cars should come with that when you buy them! I love that they keep the finished cars garage kept so they're safe on the main road. I'd highly recommend this auto body. My fiancee and I took our car to Prestige Auto Body recently for an estimate to fix a rust hole on the hood. Sam, in the office, explained that the entire hood would need to be replaced because of the damage, which we were hoping to avoid. However, he was also very honest and explained that, while we would need to replace the hood if we wanted it fixed, we didn't really need to get it fixed if we were okay with how it looked. He explained the (unlikely) situations in which it was pose any safety or practical concerns, and reassured us that we would be fine without the repairs, even though he knew it would potentially cost him business. Brought my wife's car to this shop for a minor body repair. The car repair was completed but payment from my insurance company was slow. In order to get the car back, I paid the shop the total outstanding balance. The shop indicated that they would refund the money to me once they received payment from the insurance company. Well, the insurance company paid them on September 27 and now on November 4 I have still not received a refund. This is despite several phone calls and assurance that a refund was coming. Today, I was told by Lauren that they "don't normally do refunds" and that I would receive my refund when it arrives. Just nasty with an attitude. Somehow the story has been flipped so it is now my fault even though the shop was paid in full early on. Will never return. Further, as a lawyer I have enough disputes to deal with and seek to settle mine outside of court. However, I believe that this may be an exception and may file a claim in small claims court today or Monday. read more

Hands down this is the best body shop! I took my car here after some lady hit my car, her insurance quoted my damages to $3,600. Sam helped me set everything up through the insurance company, well turns out that my damages were over $7,500. So the insurance company totaled my car and gave me $9,780 for a car that I payed $5,000 3 years ago. They were recommended by my mechanic, Tom Hoy Auto. My wife got into a minor accident in our new Lexus SUV, we took it to 2 other auto body shops for an estimate. The first one which was recommended by our insurance company and they said to bring it back in 1 month BC they were busy, the other seemed sleazy and dishonest. So then I took the car to Prestige for an estimate. The price was roughly the same as the others, perhaps a little more but they said they can start on the car right away and should be done in 2 weeks. They needed 2-3 days more than the 2 week estimate, turns out it took longer for them to get the genuine parts for our late model, 6 month old car from the dealerships. It didn't matter BC we got our car back looking and driving like brand new again. My insurance works with Hertz and Enterprise, and both of these local offices said they can pick me up and drop me off at the shop. This was our first accident and hopefully we won't have to go through this again. If we do, we would back our car back to Prestige auto. And I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family as it was recommended to me by my mechanic. read more

I felt a sense of relief and/or peace that this place may not take advantage or rip me off. Sam was definitely welcoming and a pleasure to talk to. But, very disappointed that he was all about the business versus you. I recently purchased a 2016 Jeep Patriot High Altitude that had a minor dent. A paintless dent repair is all that it would need. Sam's best offer was $500. I shopped around in the community after my visit and was offered $150 and $180 at two other locations. Though their auto body work is average at best I received my car back with the fender not screwed in and my windshield covered with overspray I was told when I bring it back they can get it off when I brought it back they tried telling me it's on the inside. They are follow through And communication skills are absolutely The worst. The manager of this location one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet but rarely is true to his word one excuse after another. At this point I will need to invest in a new windshield to get my car back on the street. If I don't call them the manager rarely picks up a phone since it's been three days since he told me he would call me back in an hour. We recently (August 2014) had our 2013 VW Passat repaired at Prestige. The car was in a parking lot accident, but required a door to be replaced. The car is a platinum gray, and has a pearlescent layer. These multi-stage paints can be very difficult to match and blend with surrounding panels. The work was superb. Fit and finish of the door is like-new, and the paint is perfect. The blends cannot be detected either on the adjacent door or the rear quarter panel. As other reviewers noted, Sam handled all of the insurance supplements and inspections. The body shop recommended by insurance was $800 cheaper than prestige, but using reclamation parts. We had a very bad experience with an insurance company partner body shop back in 2011, so we just didn't trust the guys who did the insurance company quote. Sam had no issues getting the new parts approved, ordered, installed, painted, and delivered (one week from drop-off to pick-up). Also, it should be noted that we found Prestige a few weeks prior to the accident because we needed a quote to fix a dent in the roof panel from a softball. This was from a town-owned park, whose insurance would end up paying for it. We brought the car in, and made it clear that a) we didn't know how long it would take to get the payment from the town, and b) we didn't know if we would fix it; and if we did, we weren't sure it would come back to Prestige. Sam and company graciously carried on and provided a thorough and detailed quote, without any assurance it would lead to future business. As it turned out, that simple gesture of good business was enough to bring us back for the accident repair. These guys are good at what they do, and perhaps even more importantly, understood our expectations of the quality of repair, and did not fail to deliver. Do NOT bring your vehicle here. Not only do their technicians steal items from your vehicle (which they are not liable for, but still a poor move by them), their "managers" will promise you a "good faith" check for the stolen item in order to keep customers happy. You will never receive this check. You will get the run around every time you call. I even had calls from my number ignored and had to call from my work phone to get someone to answer. I changed my car insurance to Metromile and they require an inspection of your car (even for a lease). I called Spartan Auto Rental in Rahway to book an appointment and the guy who answered the phone was so incredibly rude. So I decided to take my business elsewhere. Prestige Auto was next on the list of approved inspection locations and they were great. It took less than 15 minutes and the man who did it was professional and kind. I decided to have my car painted a different color. I had a hard time finding a shop to undertake this task. I found Prestige through a Google search and decided to give them a call. After talking to them briefly I went in to discuss business. After meeting Sam and Dave I knew that my car would be in great hands. So I dropped off my car and let them perform their magic. I stopped in a few times during the process and was treated with the utmost respect and care. I was shown around the shop and was permitted to see the car in its various stages. Upon arrival to pick up my finished car I couldn't get the smile off of my face. It was stunning. The new paint job looked as if the car came from the dealer painted this way. Every part was disassembled so that there were no taped lines. The car was reassembled better than it went in to them. All of the minor imperfections in the car are now gone. I don't know what to say about Sam and his staff except that they are professionals that take their business very seriously. They treated my car as if they were surgeons operating on a patient. I am more than pleased with the outcome. It looks better than I had hoped it would. Prestige has a new customer for life. I will be taking my collision repair to them from now on.
