The doctors there have done so much to improve my sight. They see me as frequently as needed. It is not difficult to get appts. However, the front desk staff needs sensitivity training. You are not allowed to question what the front desk says. The front desk staff run to the doctor causing hard feeling between the pt. and doctor. There needs to be a chain of command. in most practices the staff so not run to the doctor with any problem involving the office. Most front desk staff encounter some kind of conflict. The front desk staff need more interpersonal training and a supervisor or someone other than the doctor. These doctors always believe their staff. Today I had my consultation for cataract surgery. The appointment lasted about three and a half hours, but was very thorough. I'm very nervous about the surgery, but everyone from the front desk to the ophthalmologist set my mind to ease. I was very impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of each staff member. I have to completely agree with previous ratings. The office in Crestwood is full of non-empathetic, uncaring people! I had Lasix last year and still I'm having blurred spots on my left eye. I went back once; they lasered my eye in the office. Trying to get out of the treatment room, in the total DARK, I fell. They didn't care at all. I was able to get myself up and leave. Now, my eye is even worse! I called for an appointment. When the woman finally answered, she was rude and I admit, I was rude back!! I may try another office but I'm not sure I don't have a lawsuit. Crestwood office is awful! My surgery was a flop and now, a year later, I can't get them to help at all. read more

Dr Zangorianos is efficient & thorough in his exams. I would suggest he provide some explanation of what he is seeing, good or bad, throughout the exam. The poor rating is not for the Doctor, it is for the office environment & wait time. Office is uncomfortably cold especially when having to be there for over 3 hours. Dr Singal and Dr Blair have been wonderful . The office staff at the Crestwood, south end and Hurstbourne office is horrible! You wait and wait and then get tossed around to young people who have zero knowledge about what you're getting ready to go through . If you have a question, ask a Dr not the staff - they told me the wrong information and now I suffer for 2 weeks until my next surgery . I had an appointment with Dr. Singal. The staff at Bennett & Bloom were all very efficient and extremely friendly. I was very impressed how seem less the whole process. I saw four different technicians. I likewise had four different test. What was a semi stressful visit all of them were super nice. As well as putting me at ease. I went to the Crestwood office and Dr Blair performed the cataract surgery. My eye is worse and I constantly have to put eye drops in. My eyelid became droopy after surgery. I did not receive anesthesia because the nurse tried to put the IV in my arm and couldn't get the vein so the IV was placed in my hand. He did laser and then to the operating room where the doctor started performing the surgery before I received anesthesia because the nurse couldn't find the port! The most disorganized doctors office I've ever been too! Wait for hours for appointment and they literally sent the wrong eye drop prescription to my pharmacy that I had to call and ask what it was for because the eye drops I had to use prior to surgery was from a compounded pharmacy. The prescription was for someone else accidentally sent in my name to the pharmacy! I had to pay for and you can't return a prescription even if it has not been opened. I should be reimbursed for that mistake! The eye measurements were not done correctly the first time after sitting there for 3 hours. I had to go back to have the measurements taken again. Insurance sent a denial on the eye measurement retest and they said don't worry we will resubmit the claim. I paid my out of pocket cost upfront. This was in August of last year. I've received nothing from Bennett and Bloom. A credit company sent a text today that I have an outstanding balance with Bennett and Bloom? I called the office and asked what it was for and how much? It was for the office visit for the eye measurement retest. A very nasty woman said they had sent me 5 bills. First if it was done correctly the first time I shouldn't have to pay again for the test that was incorrectly done! Second I received No bill or phone call from them. Not even an after surgery follow up! Besides ruining my eye sight and eyelid they are trying to ruin my good credit! Stay away from this dreadful place! Never ever ever go to Bennett and Bloom for eye appointments even if they are the last ophthalmologists on the planet. I had an appointment there today. I was referred by my optometrist. They did all this crap and dialate my eyes. I can't see crap at this point. (I guess that's par for the course). They shuffle me between two rooms then tell me I'm going to have to come back for a field vision test. I just had one of them two weeks ago... this the reason my optometrist referred me to them. I told them this is ridiculous. I'd been there over an hour into my appointment and hadn't even seen the doctor. The staff said I'd have to come back for an eye test; one I'd had two weeks ago at my optometrist. I told her it is frustrating to take off work for a test and be told you have to come back to take a test you just took. I told her this was ridiculous. I'd told the girl if I didn't get that test I wasn't coming back to get it because I wasn't taking more time off work. The first girl send out a bigger girl who I guess works directly with the doctor and has an attitude and is the muscle. She tells me it would be a "very long wait" if I get that test. Like it's my fault they over schedule and don't coordinate referrals. Not everyone can just sit and go to the eye doctor at a whim. She puts me in an exam room shuts the door. I'm sitting there blind as a bat in tears listening to the girls (supposedly staff) giggle in the hallway. The initial staff came and took me to get the field vision test. When the actual doctor came in she already had an attitude and I'm sure the heifers had rounded up and had a gossip session. Like they got mad at me because I got mad about them telling me I'd have to take off another day of work and most likely if I had to do that I wasn't coming back. The doctor dismissed me totally and walked out after I told her I'd been through this and I wasn't having an MRI done because of my anxiety. (I've tried for years and can't- I panic). This big blond girl, Amy came in the room ( the one who put me in the room and shut the door to giggle outside). I guess to show their unified front. The doctor said she'd be on maternity leave when it was time for my next appointment and I just sat there thinking "heifer, you and your crew ain't seeing me again". In my experience they are childish, immature, unhelpful, and poorly able to problem solve with their patients and their schedules. I went to check out and told the receptionist to take me out of their system. I wasn't coming back there. I have a choice where I go to the doctor and it's NOT at an OFFICE ran by MIDDLE SCHOOL kids. My optometrist told me more about what was going on with me than this middle schooler so called doctor. * Their office looks like people have taken dumps in some of the chairs. So, I will start by saying this. The 1 star rating started only since February 2023. That's how fast these folks have fallen. I started going to Bennet & Bloom after Dr Anne Huntington retired several years ago. When this office finally closed, I was told to go to Bennett & Blooms. My thought was, 'it's close and should work very well'. I met Dr Steele who is a terrific doctor. During my handful of visits, we discussed my Diabetes care and my upcoming cataract care and what my options were. In 2022, we discussed one option which was very costly, but I was prepared to do it. In 2023, I decided to get the expensive cataract surgery, only to find that there was a much better and cheaper option. No complaints there. After that assessment, I was led to believe that my phone would ring at any time for the procedure. Fast forward to Mid-March 2023 ( 30 days after the assessment) and I called the surgeon's office. Basically, I was given the 'this is our process, and you should wait your turn'. Moving forward to April, I am still waiting on that miraculous phone call. On April 22nd, I will have reached 60 days of waiting. I left a very terse message at the Bennett and Bloom answering service asking WTF and what was the hold up. They, of course, never called back, but Dr Steele did. I asked simply why this was staking so long and Dr Steele had already thought I was finished with the procedures by then. He said two weeks max was the average wait time. I explained to Dr Steele that I was quickly losing confidence in this office and, day by day, it's going quickly. Dr Steele said he would happily write me a referral to another agency to handle my eye health needs. This was concerning since this caps off what I have been thinking all along. There is no real concern for a patient's Eye Care nor is there any interest in making things right. I am of the opinion now that if I get a call for the cataract surgery, I may have to pass on it and pursue this through a more reputable clinic. This is a disaster of embarrassing proportions caused by the staff and, possibly, the doctors. It's like an assembly line and if they miss a widget, 'oh well', is their mantra. Do yourself a favor and avoid going to the Bluegrass Ave location. There is a giant crack that you will fall into, I'm sure. read more

My 75 year old mother saw Dr. Blair this past week for a routine check up. In the past, she had been to the Shelbyville Rd. location. After her examination, she told him she liked this location because of it's close proximity to her home. He told her it would probably be best if she went back to the other office because he was so busy. He made her feel as if she didn't matter. She came home in tears because she felt so bad after the way he talked to her. Several days later she is still upset about this. My advice to anyone thinking about visiting this office is THEY ARE TOO BUSY FOR YOU AND YOU DO NOT MATTER. read more
