I'll give you the short end of the story. A few years ago I limped my Tahoe in because my engine was about to die. Was told that I needed an entire rotating assembly replaced. I gave the okay, after 6 months of yanking me around and having me pay for parts (I admit I was naive and never had to deal with this experience before so I paid in cash) my truck was still out of commission. The engine was in pieces when I decided to take my truck elsewhere. Had it transported on a rollback to another shop which I learned the pump on my transmission was destroyed. Now I'll remind you, I DROVE the truck to Scotty's shop, didn't have it towed. So I'm assuming that this crook was covering for his alcoholic mechanic's screw up or they used my transmission on another customer's car and was going to "charge" me for more work. I wouldn't even send my worst enemy to this chop shop. The owner still haven't made things right and funny enough he blocked me on Facebook after I had a competent mechanic work on my vehicle. I spent over 5,000 on a refurbished engine that still to this day leaks 2-3 quarts of oil a week. It was fixed a year ago and then taken back over 4 times to be told you have to keep checking the oil. They lie about warranties. I then bought a Kia Sol with a used engine that was just put in and less than 3,000 miles later it now needs a new engine. When purchasing the vehicle I was told it had a warranty today I was told they never do warranties. I pressed them why I was given one with the Suv and was told that was a 3 month warranty. Not a place I can afford which is unfortunate when your disappointed by someone you think you know.
