My…read morebrother and I took a train ride to this station to meet up with my friends for lunch at Harry's Hofbrau. In the past, it was my go to station for shopping at the Bay Fair Shopping Mall. The location was okay and convenient for shopping needs and the movie theater. I don't even know what businesses are left at the shopping mall. Then there is no telling when I will catch a train from downtown Oakland to Bay Fair.

There is zero security in the parking lot. Now, I catch the bus or Uber here, depending on if I'm in a hurry. I do like the Clipper Card only, which has been in effect for a while. They also upgraded the Bart fare gates, so the fare jumpers can't just jump over like they used too. The prices are still reasonable, way better, and quicker, than driving!!

We have our shiny new entry/exit gates that reduce the risk of fare evasion! They even fixed a gap between the gate access entry and the new gates which I saw someone jump on day one. Now, you gotta really want it to get in and out for free, and frankly, I don't think the fare evasion community has what it takes with these new gates. We are back in the 5 star Yelp game people!

Well sometimes they offer special ferries for the Giants or Warriors games in SF. Atmosphere - Beautiful. I hike/bike here at times as well. Plenty of parking, 250 spaces, no overnight parking allowed. 20 bike racks available, the ferry is bike friendly as well. 24 bike lockers available. AC Transit = 21 line. Approximately 20 minutes to get to SF. Also, since I have lived in Alameda, the ferry service has always been on time. This ferry, similar to Sea Plane, operates only Monday to Friday.
