I scheduled three appointments with him (pro tip: every slot is open, all the time--that's a sign) and each visit was basically a live-action version of being on hold with customer service. My experience: Total face time over three visits? About 20 minutes, if you count him staring at his computer and occasionally remembering I was in the room. Medical advice? A lot of world-class shrugging, half-hearted "I think we're okay," and his all-time favorite catchphrase: "Insurance won't cover it." (Translation: he won't even try to order anything that might help.) My health concerns? Decades of high-risk lung exposure, family history, bad cholesterol, borderline diabetes, low testosterone--Dr. Uto's reaction: "Eh, come back in a year" Want a PET scan? "Insurance won't cover it." Want your A1C checked more than once a year? "Insurance won't cover it." Want a doctor who listens, cares, or does literally anything besides checking boxes? LOL, "insurance won't cover it." The best thing about this office is how easy it is to get an appointment and the check in associate (Brooke) Great job momma! You're the only good thing in that office. Roses for you!! The worst thing is... everything else. If you value your health, time, and dignity, run--don't walk--to literally any other provider. I suffered from postpartum depression, my son struggled to breastfeed and my first birth changed the options I had for all future births. I became a doula 4 years ago and had hoped that there had been some change in the way she practices. But sadly, that is not true. Dr. Gernhart very much has an attitude of "I know what's best for you, just do what I say" with her patients. She employs scare tactics to coerce her patients into doing what she prefers and and can be described as a bully. She uses treatments, procedures, types of care that are out-dated and have been proven to not provide the best outcomes for mothers and babies. I'm very disappointed.

Our son (1 yo) had a double ear infection on a Sunday and they were able to see us within minutes of getting there. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The environment was extremely clean and taken care of. Jen was so friendly and good with our son. Made me feel like she was there for him and making him feel comfortable with being at the doctors office. It was also nice that she herself could empathize with our situation and giving such sound advice. Appreciate the time, friendliness and energy the staff put in on this weekend.

When I explained what was going on to her and told her I've been to two different ERs and had the nastiest tone in her voice saying she didn't know what I was talking about and said she needed records of that. As if my pain isn't real. I'm really considering going somewhere else but I love my doctor. I'm really offended by this nurse. If she wasn't there I would praise this clinic with my whole being. They didn't have the X-Ray machines that Google said they did, but the staff pointed us in the right direction to their location that did. The people behind the desk were very friendly when we told them the situation, and they lamented with us about it. (FYI - it ended up being that his foot was actually broken, once we got the scan! Ah!) Even though we didn't end up becoming patients of this urgent care, we did get to experience the great and helpful attitude of the staff. So I will definitely return here, if we do ever have another urgent care need!

However, when the next two patrons came in she asked them if they'd ever been there before and they had. They sat down and one went right even though I was there first. By the way I had been there before. The only difference in the three of us is I'm a black male and the others were white. In observing this I came very close to confronting her regarding the differential treatment. Sometimes having to even ponder it gets exhausting! Nevertheless, the nurse and PA were both professional and kind. Hopefully my diagnosis is accurate.
