Edward came out immediately to look at the job and give me an estimate. He was very quick with communication. I was ready to do the job as soon as I got approval from the HOA. In all fairness, I have a very small one-car driveway, which made it easier to fit me in. The HOA cooperated fairly quickly (unusual for them) and they fit me in immediately. What a beautiful job! UPDATE - 6/10/24 Edward and a couple other folks from Ben's Paving came today and did a very nice job fixing what they broke on my sidewalk. It looks very good. For that, I am giving back two additional stars on my previous review. However, it's disappointing that it took me writing the original negative review, filing a complaint with the BBB, and leaving an explicit voicemail on the owner's phone (in addition to having to get them on the phone multiple times over months just for nothing to happen) to get this result. We paid over $30,000 for them to pace our driveway. Charlie tells you what you want to hear. He says 5 year guarantee. Ours was done in November and by June of that year it was falling apart. He made promise after promise to correct it but never showed up to even look at it. Excuse after excuse. Its been 5 years and we need to have it paved again. I wish it could be 0. Charlie has no pride in his work. He provided us with a quote to replace and widen our driveway. I had to leave for work the morning his team was completing the project and I made the mistake of paying in full. While leaving I texted him to make sure the curb was cut to make our wider driveway usable. He refused saying that a permit was needed. When I asked how much for the permit he said he doesn't know and I can check with them myself. I asked why we never talked about this as an issue he had no response. I asked he could fill the driveway up flush with the curb so that we can use the driveway we paid for he agreed to do so. When I came home, he decided otherwise. He also decided to leave me with my neighbors yard waste from his work to clean up along with a mess from his concrete saw on the house that we just had painted a month ago. Ben's did the seal coat on our driveway a year ago, that day it looked fine. After a few rainfalls I noticed an oil haze washing down the drive. Within a month the "asphalt seal coat" was washing! Is it possible to give negative stars? As I read other reviews, one thing is clear, Ben is not a man of his word We hired Ben and team to seal coat our driveway. Less than 6 months later our driveway looks horrible (please see attached pictures). Initially Ben was assuring that he would come early April to fix and blamed the problem on 'a bad batch'. Months later we sit with many broken promises and now Ben completely ignores all correspondences. The team came to extend my driveway nearly two years ago. We realized later that there was an issue with the driveway and they needed to come to fix it. Ben had acknowledged the issue and promised us that he would come out the following Spring because it would be easier to repair when it was warmer. They never came nor responded. Excellent work! Last year we realized our driveway was long past its expiration date. I'd seen a number of signs for Ben's Paving in various neighborhoods. At least to the extent I could look at the jobs while driving past, the work appeared to be clean and precise. Even so I didn't want to go "no bid" so I contacted five different contractors for estimates. Ben's was the only one that responded in a timely fashion: the estimator showed up when promised, took measurements, and within a couple of days got back to us with specs and a price that was well within the range of other contractors. (And no, having the same name didn't influence my choice /smirk) On the big day the whole crew arrived around 7:30. By 9 and change they'd ripped out the old driveway down to the substrate. They even took the time and care to square off places where things had gotten ragged over the years, and were still done by lunch. After nine months of southeastern PA heat and cold the job is still solid and looks great. I definitely would recommend them to anyone in the region. read more

We have a very long driveway which was desperately in need of repaving. We checked several different options and chose Ben's Paving. It was quite a big job but they were able to do the whole thing in about 2 to 3 days. We weren't 100% happy with the end of the driveway. We had added some Belgian blocks to make the driveway more appealing. We were unhappy with the block work which was done by a secondary company. Even though Ben's did not do the original block work they offered to redo it to our satisfaction. This was all done at no cost to us. I can't say enough about how happy we were with the ultimate outcome. Charlie was on the scene regularly and made sure that everything was done to our satisfaction. It is without hesitation that I recommend Ben's Paving as an honest, efficient, and professional paving company. We would definitely use them again. read more
