Great family friendly vibe, good views, good wine! Highly recommend if you're coming to this side of the lake.

Best pizza in Chelan, Napoleon style pizza is extremely hard to find in Washington state, yet these guys have it nailed!!! Thank you is all I can say. We had The Thai pizza and the Margarita, unbelievable!

On our first trip to Chelan, our friend who knows her way around the area insisted on lunch here, and after arriving we could see why. The view is truly unbeatable with gorgeous panoramas of the lake, surrounding mountains, and the vineyards. The tasting room has a couple levels with both inside and outside seating options. We settled ourselves on the edge with a beautiful view of the lake and ordered wine and lunch. While their mostly gluten forward menu doesn't offer much for those of us with celiac disease, I was thrilled to find out they were willing to lettuce stake their sandwiches. I went for the eggsalad sandwich on lettuce instead of bread and it was quite good. The sangiovese I got was not bad and the whole group found something they enjoyed. While the food and wine were both good, the view was really the selling point and definitely worth the trip.

Visited Benson Vineyards based on recommendation from a local and so glad we did. The tastings were $15 for 4 samples unless you bought a bottle. The wine was very smooth and pleasant to the taste but the real star was the stunning view from the tastings room and seating outside. We ordered a cheese meat tray that was excellent. What an amazing view of the landscape below and the beautiful Lake Chelan. There a number of vineyards in the area, I would add this one for the view alone.

    What a fabulous view!

What a fabulous view! Enjoyed a glass, okay a bottle of wine with friends! The rose is a bit on the sweeter side, if that is not your preference I would recommend another option. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the amazing view and wonderful ambiance! The wine was a bit sweet for me but I would definitely go back to try another bottle. We also had the Syrah and that one was pretty tasty.

Gorgeous views, great wine, good service! 10 out of 10 recommend coming here! Also love that they have this little grape display that teaches you about the wine making process.

Complete serenity. The views were breathtaking. The wine was great and the staff were really nice. Definitely worth the drive a little out of Chelan. We will be back.

Went to 2 other wineries first. Benson was not cheap but about 25% less expensive than the others. They gave you 4 tastings for $15 and we split the tasting. At the other wineries, you only had 4 choices but here there were a lot more and you could pick the ones you wanted. They gave us 4 glasses and marked the initials of the wines on the bottom of the glasses. Other wineries poured all the wines in the same glass. We bought 2 bottles of wine and they had a really nice rose and a red blend for $100 a case. I made the mistake of specifying a 10% tip, forgetting that the cases of wine would be included in the total, my bad. Enjoyable experience. Went home with 26 bottles of wine for $300. No regrets. Wine was great when we tried it at home.

Great winery with wonderful views, upstairs and downstairs tasting rooms. Great seating, beautiful property! We loved our time here and left with wine. Side note, cafe is disappointing and spendy, separate from Winery although on site. Charcuterie board was a joke, 2 sliced deli cheese cut into 4s, artichoke hearts bland, salami not flavorful and small for almost $25 dollars, margaritas pizza bland, cold and cheese not melted, although crust was burnt??? Makes me sad because this place is great but the Cafe was disappointing.

Benson continues to be a favorite winery when in Chelan. The wines are excellent, the views are amazing and the staff are lovely. What's not to like? Tastings are conducted with the customer taste in mind; if they feel they don't have exactly what your prefer, they eagerly refer you to a fellow winery to match your presence because they feel your taste satisfaction is the top priority. The tasting room is lovely. A recent visit during the wintertime revealed the view is just as amazing in winter as it is during summer. Sipping a quality wine by the fire looking at the amazing view is heaven. Until next time...

Wow. The wines are spectacular. The Benny Zinfandel is so good. I would definitely come back here. The views are amazing. Visiting during Covid in the winter made it a bit chilly but the heated table helped. Great service. Worth the stop.

For a $10 tasting fee, you can choose 4 wines from their list (5 whites and 11 reds when we visited). This fee is waived if you purchase a bottle. We were also able to split one tasting between 2 people. If I recall correctly, we tried: Curious, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Ruby Port. I think they were all pretty good, but honestly I do wine tasting more for fun, but rarely drink wine at home. We did end up getting a bottle of the Curious because it was only $20 and our $10 tasting fee would be waived. Might as well spend an extra $10 to go home with a bottle! The grounds were pretty despite it being a cold and rainy day. You can see the lake and vineyards. They also had the fire pits on, making outside more bearable.

a view to enjoy with your pizza.

I hope you like your wines sweet and your servers salty. For the view, it is a must see. Do go up the hill and check it out and do enjoy the delicious pizza downstairs. But stop for tastings at one of the better wineries down the hill. And for the woman behind the counter who asked to see ID for 2 of 4 in our party, then proceeded to explain rudely why some of us looked older; that's not going to sell you any bottles. Pro tip: if you aren't sure about 1, card the whole party. It's called good business, polite, how you get tips, etc.

Fun to sit and enjoy the views, but the wine, a 2020 Viognier was almost undrinkable. It was sweet like syrup, almost sickening. Yuck.

The wine tasting was great, the service needed some work. The hostess were not knowledgeable and not very friendly.

Wait, what? I haven't written a review yet this year? Hahah…read more This place is our "go to" winery! We love Mark, Tami and Lexi. Not to mention the other great workers. The wines are really good. My husband calls the Merlot a bottle of Yum Yum! We really like the different gathering options: two different fire place / pit areas outside, a cozy couch inside with other tables and seating for two or bigger gatherings. They offer live music every Thursday, summer, winter, spring and fall. It's a great place to bring friends and family or meet a date. This place is it! Give out a try!

We got our own cheese board and for some reason I think the lady owner didn't like that (or just…read moredidn't like us for whatever reason!). Although on their website it clearly says you can bring your own food for your picnic and they can provide the wine. Also, for the picnic you're seated on a table. We got our mats with us just in case because we weren't told what the set up would be like... The gentleman was lovely and polite and even jokingly said something along the lines of them not being the greatest with service, which was unfortunately spot on (wise man - he knows their area of weakness). Wines were poured very late, and on many occasions the wrong bottle was brought out. We felt overlooked and unwelcomed. Cute place with nice wines and beautiful scenery. The Pinot Gris is really nice and refreshing. Wine tasting flight was only 15 dollars and waived with a bottle. Great deal. They definitely need to work on improving their service if they would like to run their business more successfully... Smiling and kindness goes a long way folks!! ;) ---------- In response to your personal and public message Tami, I don't check my emails on a Saturday. Nonetheless, I appreciate you taking the time to reach out and sharing your perspective. My intention in leaving a review was not to be unfair or to criticize you personally, but simply to share how the experience felt from our side. Our party was in fact very happy with the table you had given us. We were confused among ourselves whether we were going to be given a table or an area on the grass. The wording on the website about "enjoying a picnic" simply left us uncertain whether to expect a table or a grass area. We even brought our mats just in case. Perhaps you can clarify that this will be in a seated area. *We were disappointed by your poor attitude, and slow service by other staff. Not our problem if you were working alone at the time that we arrived...Again, I don't know who the gentleman we saw was but I am simply sharing our experience. While I understand that our arrival (though we were only 10 minutes late) and indecision about wine tasting may have added to the busyness of the day, from our perspective the service felt rushed and interactions came across as curt. A better attitude/response on your end would have been to ask if there was anything you could do to help or to clarify. You just walked off with an unwelcoming expression on your face. Thank your for your reply and I wish you all the best with your business.

The rosé and Syrah were both delightful and I ended up going home with a few bottles. They seem to be somewhat strict about making reservations, so we called ahead. We got there 5 minutes early and still had to wait a bit before we were seated. The staff tried really hard to get us to go sit in the open seating tent (I swear they asked us like 3+ times if we wanted to), but it had no view, was dark, and was full of kids. Def recommend making a reservation so you can actually enjoy the view and ambiance! We went in the winter so all the doors were closed and we sat inside. It was a little stuffy and loud, but we also went on a pretty crowded day. I can imagine the deck and outside area being lovely when the weather is warmer!
