Don't order the fish!! We called THIS MORNING to order fish having heard that they tend to sell out later in the day. We went by this afternoon to pick it up, and were told they were sold out. Told them "We ordered it THIS MORNING!" The woman behind the counter said I know. I sold it. I'm sorry. We live out of town but own property in Leakey. Get by Bent Rim 5-6 times a year. Food has always been OK, and sometimes really good. But this employee's (or was it an owner?) attitude just totally soured me on going back again. read more

The Bent Rim is an oasis in the hill country. The setting is unique. Beautiful view. Very spacious sitting area. The staff is very polite and they make you feel welcomed. The food is great and the beer is cold. Good prices. The gift shop has a large variety of apparel only found at the bent Rim. We stop there every time we ride the area. read more

I go to this place a few times a year. I don't think anyone goes for the food alone. Today there was a ride sponsored by Lackland. As usual there were plenty of bikes out front. There is a nice little gift store there and today a band was playing. The place is decorate with hi--way memorabilia. The menu is small but you can count on pulled pork and hamburger. I had the deluxe and a side of onion rings. The onion rings were great, terrific breading. The deluxe is a cheese burger with bacon and it was excellent. You can eat outside and enjoy the band, the cool stuff hanging on the walls, or look out over the land A one of a kind place, should be on your bucket list. read more

I was there with my husband. Alot of bikes came through this past Saturday. An older gentleman that was with a pack sprung a leak on his bike and something was leaking on their parking lot. The guys he was with were trying to clean it up and what appeared to be the owner lady was just yelling at them and cursing. We were shocked. All the wait staff was so nice. She was TERRIBLE! We watched this happening. The poor guy was so upset. We felt bad for him. Shebwas yelling again like an hour later when they were leaving. Isn't this a biker stop on the sisters? Wouldn't these types of situations happen often? I am so glad we just stopped to eat a snack and didn't shop in their store so I didn't spend any money there. We won't be going back. This place is a hidden treasure. The outdoor seating creates quite the ambience. The view of the Texas hill country makes for a relaxing meal. The jalapeño cheese buns are fresh and tasty. I was visiting the Frio for a girls weekend and we were looking for a place to eat on our way home. Bent Rim Grill looked fun so we decided to try it out. Pulling up we were slightly intimidated by the motorcycles, but when I tell you this is one of the best burgers I've ever had- I mean it. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming. We sat outside overlooking a gorgeous view. The burgers were incredible and the onion rings were to die for. I will be visiting here every time I come through Leakey. We were staying in a rental house on the river and decided to stop and grab a bite before arrival. The place had a great vibe and wonderful scenery. The burgers were amazing! I had a ninja with hatch chilies on a jalapeño bun. OMG, it was soooo juicy and good! Boys children (6&9) ate every bite of theirs as well as well as my husband (forgot what he got). I'd love to give this place more stars considering I've always enjoyed their food & overall atmosphere however, the attitude & terrible service we just received from the OWNER himself, is the reason we will never be back. It's a sad day when your employee has to apologize for your awful behavior in your own establishment. Simply asking for more ketchup threw this man into a toddlers temper tantrum. He felt as though 6 small packets for 5 people was more than enough. Sad to see this is how he treats locals who keep him afloat in tough times like these. Great Place for a Group to Stop on Three Sisters. Our Corvette group of 32 stopped for lunch at the Bent Rim Grill while enjoying the Three Sisters. The burgers were great and that day they also had catfish. It takes a bit to get through the line to order but the beautiful views and shaded seating make the wait worth it.
