I worked at The Lakes at Castle Hills in The Colony/Lewisville, TX. During my time there, I experienced verbal abuse from a leadership figure.... something I reported multiple times to management with no meaningful resolution. I have this behavior documented and on video. I was also subjected to sexual harassment from a club member, including inappropriate comments like: "Would you like to see the tattoo on my d**k?"and unwanted physical contact. When I told management I was uncomfortable and requested not to serve this member, I was told: "They're paying members, there's nothing we can do." Another manager later suggested I confront the harasser myself. I also have a diagnosed learning disability and was frequently mocked for things like misspellings, despite leadership being aware of my condition. Instead of support, I was met with humiliation. I filed a formal complaint with the EEOC. They acknowledged what I shared but ultimately dismissed the case due to the company's classification as a private, tax-exempt membership club, which is not subject to certain federal protections. This experience left me deeply shaken. I'm still growing from it. It shattered my confidence and made me question my worth, but I now know the weight I carried wasn't mine. I'm sharing it because silence only protects harmful systems.

The reception hall was much larger than I thought and with the dance floor and all of the tables it made for a beautiful scene. They had these large decorations hanging above the dance floor which were very pretty, and when I asked about them I was told that the club actually put those up on their own! The food was served buffet style with a carving station for the meats. The food was about what you would expect from a wedding - average. A good side note is that they have a children's room for club hours that has a full changing station with a sink if you're attending with a baby! This was very handy for me!

Mind you I just had a workout outside, so I was sweating, and it was 75 degrees outside... This really upset me and honestly ruined the rest of my experience, so my fiancé went to the front desk when we returned our putters to tell them about the horrible attitude of the bartender. I live at this complex, therefore I use a lot of the facilities The Village has to offer. Family-centered but could also be a home away from home for the non parent side of you who wants solo time. This country club has a "Ranch" location that is a bit more casual tone to it and the "Dye" location a mile away. Stonework is fabulous in both with a cozy interior of old world charm. No wonder they organize weddings here. Both sites feature GOLF courses but I was there for the social membership side of things. This allows for a tier pricing option which I feel is still a luxury but sensible. Both sites have a resort like outdoor pool with pool side arrive. Drinks? Appetizers? Meals? They got you covered. The Dye location has an indoor jacuzzi in the women's lounge area and the newly renovated work out area of the Ranch location features squat racks, free weights, cardio and personal training options. Back to Amy...inclement weather made it so I wasn't able to see the property as planned. Amy took time to communicate through video + images to show me the country club. When I was able to guess pass my way for my "recon" visit, I was delighted by her personable demeanor and PRIDE of what she enjoys in the locations. Wine pairing and fancy dinners spoke to the foodie in me. Her persuasion came from her genuine excitement for the beauty of the property. Sadly, my family decided to move in another direction but I wouldn't hesitate to revisit this in the future for a membership or organized event. The staff is always friendly and really make the visit worthwhile. Having drinks and snacks delivered poolside is a great amenity which we appreciate. The touchdown driver, steak, summer salad and fish & chips are our favorites!
