I'm indebted to BeFit Tacoma for helping me fulfill a dream I've had since 8th grade, to get strong! I've always been skinny and though I picked up kickboxing and took martial arts to compensate my inherent weakness bothered me. No matter how hard I hit a bag or kicked a shield it always nagged me when a new guy would come into the gym, never really thrown a proper punch in his life and then through sheer strength give the punching mitt a solid one that rivaled my months of boxing practice. There's a level where baseline strength can surpass technique and while my technique level was higher I saw that failing to increase my strength would cap my level of effectiveness. I tried working out at the YMCA, but working out alone and having no idea if I was doing an exercise right or how many sets/reps I should do left me discouraged and I only went in once or twice a month. Then I found BeFit Strength Group! What I love about Strength group is that everyone who goes has one primary goal, to get strong and encourage others to get strong too! Working out in such an environment pushes you to try harder, and you know the group has your back when it comes to spotting you with weights and correcting your form. Coach Isaac is the one who puts the exercise programs together and he always has a rationale behind the exercises we do and the amount of reps and sets. There's a science behind the program, not a blind guess. Beometry Tacoma personal trainer has helped me with the understanding that working out can be for pain relief instead of just leaving the gym with new or worse aches. Before working with them, I would go to the gym and feel trashed. I would get in my car and go to my local Tacoma gym and think that having back pain was normal... ...I actually thought it was normal to hurt, that was the sign of a good workout. Let me say I LOVE this place. From the first class on (where, I must say, I passed out cold) I've been hooked! BeFit's bootcamps are truly one of the most uplifting experiences you can have in your week! The Positive and driven atmosphere is absolutely catching, and the coaches are truly passionate about helping each individual reach their full health potential! A great amount of thought goes into each and every boot camp here - every day is different and finds a new way to test your body and keep it from getting used to a "routine"! Strength builders followed quickly by dynamic interrupts, backed up by music that truly keeps you active unlike many health clubs I've visited! I've been through a great many personal training sessions (as well as home workouts and diet pills) and I must say not a one of them can hold a candle to what goes on here. The two weeks I spent training here outside of my gym were fantastic! I woke up feeling more energetic every day, and can't wait to return once my gym membership expires!! This is AS FAR AWAY from those cookie cutter gyms and "personal trainers" that you'll ever get. Before joining BeFit Tacoma's program and coach Isaac, I myself trained and worked out by myself consistently at a gym supplemented with p90x and insanity for over 2.5 years. Mentally I'm a monster of a fighter, but I wasn't training properly to get results, which was what I always wanted. A group that believes in you and brings out the monster in you really compounds on top of an already strong mental attitude toward training. Proper form is everything, and so is Isaac's guide at nutrition to supplement your goals. In 2.5 years, I went from 125lbs to 135lbs. In 2 months at BeFit I went from 135 to 150lbs. Of course it's to gain muscle first and tone and cut down later, which is an approach many tend to give up early on because they are too impatient to cut down, as I previously was. BeFit Tacoma Bootcamp is great! I have been training for almost two years now with personal trainer Isaac Ho. I would definitely recommend befit tacoma bootcamp to all my friend and anyone looking to get in shape because of the amazing results I have seen with my body losing over 76lbs of body fat! I was never able to do a pushup before and today I did 100 pushups! Not to mention I can do three chinups and one pullup! What I like about BeFit Tacoma is it's more of a small one on one gym where the personal trainers actually come around and check on you to make sure you're doing it right and make sure you don't injure yourself. The classes are efficient where you get in and get out but still personal enough to know that the trainers really care. Before training I weighted 330lbs.I tore my left meniscus and had surgery and wasn't able to squat. After physical therapy my leg still wasn't able to squat but after training now I can squat no problem! I can squat 240lbs now. I love BeFit Tacoma! In the 8 months I have been training with Isaac Ho I lost 5 lbs and 3 inches off my waist. I also reduced my two mile time in the military by over 10 minutes! When I found BeFit Tacoma, I was down in the dumps and frustrated about my body. I had huge amounts of back pain and knee pain from doing incorrect exercises in the military and putting my body through so much in such a short time. Since working with a personal trainer, I have learned how to do exercises with correct form and intensity. This has helped reduce alot of my pain. I also love the atmosphere and boot camp style workouts. As a competitive person, this lets me compete both with other clients and with myself, which enhances my workout by leaps and bounds. I was surprised at how quickly I got results at BeFit... I typically ONLY run for workouts, but decided to try BeFit on my sister's recommendation (Isaac helped her train prior to climbing Mt. Rainier) and because of their awesome Charity Challenge (community do-gooders? yes, please!). I hadn't worked out at all (running or otherwise) in over four months when I went to my first class, and it KICKED. MY. BUTT. You work totally different muscles than you would running, or even strength training at a "normal" gym. The day after my first BeFit class felt like the day after the first day of snowboard season - every muscle in my body I never knew I had felt WORKED (in the best way). And the best news for me - these classes totally prepped me for running, too! I entered a 10K after my first week of BeFit classes and got a better time (even without running for four months) than I had in my last race. Isaac Stole my daughters personal information and posted it online to promote his business with a photo of her he took off of her facebook, the fake review is posing as her. In summer 2017 his best friend (Kevin Yu) ran her over with a car, his friend Kevin offered to set up a treatment by Issac....my daughter went....which he wanted to have this "session" in his living room at his home. Where he grilled her for personal information and his "treatment" included shining a flashlight on her ankle. Then he called me for payment of services and she was not allowed to leave until it was paid in full, so fearing for her wellbeing I gave him my credit card number so she was allowed to leave his home. This was an expensive 4 hour + session he had her in his home. I would not recommend this fraud to "help" anyone. While I have attempted to contact Isaac several times, he will not answer. When I was first taken to BeFit I was excited to see what it had to offer. Wow was I impressed, not only was it an amazing workout but the trainers Isaac and Nick are so supportive it makes you want to push yourself. With the small class sizes it allows them to help each individual with form and alternate ways to do the exercise if it is giving you any problems. Not only that but they are always available to email and call if you have questions about nutrition, form, excercises, etc. They go above and beyond to ensure you get the best results you can. After bootcamp I came out feeling great, posetive, and accomplished. The self paced program makes it so everyone can do it while also pushing you to do your best. I am a former soldier and proudly served while in the U.S. Army. I got back into the civilian life and eating crazy food and not working out as much. Like most veterans I was rapidly gaining more fat and just out of shape from not doing the P.T. (physical training). I had been strength training for about 4 solid years before I did my first bootcamp at BeFit Tacoma with Isaac Ho, and it was one of the best workouts I had ever had! I felt like I was tapping into untouched potential and shed off a lot of fat. Befit Tacoma Bootcamp is a very challenging, energetic, and extremely fun place to workout. I have come to know personal trainer Isaac Ho very well and followed him from his training at large fitness centers. Coming to BeFit Tacoma is one of the best fitness experiences I have had! The idea of "Bootcamp" has always made me apprehensive because what would come to mind is big, scary men pushing me until I passed out. Let me tell you: This is NOT that! When I first heard "bootcamp" I imagined crawling on my knees through mud while wearing camo...I couldn't have been more wrong. Coach Isaac and Coach Nic specialize in group personal training, and it's the most fun I've ever had exercising! The atmosphere is just so positive--everyone comes in for the same reason: RESULTS.
