RV sites Camp grounds…read moreCabins The restaurant opens according to the seasons, we visited late April (had the entire area to ourselves) restaurant opens only weekends. Trails around Lago and are not marked but clearly visible. They are very easy trails. Kayaks are available. Lifejackets are available. Propane grills were available on the cabin porches. Just make sure when you check before you get there that you have a full propane tank. Firewood is for sale or you can buy it at the nearby groceries or gas stations on your way in. Speaking of groceries and there's an IGA and Save A Lot within 20 minutes, gas stations, liquor, stores, Family Dollar and there's a downtown Berryville with shops. Farmers markets are seasonal. Check-in is super simple. They will email you a code to get into the door. You don't have to stop by and or check in with the office. We never met the owners. We met personnel on the campground. There's also docks that you can go sit at, gazebo, picnic tables. The actual cabin had towels, hand soap in the bathroom, dish soap, basic pots and pan utensils knives but if you want anything special, I highly recommend you packing it. Definitely want your seasonings food. There's a microwave. There's a coffee pot that uses filters for the 12 cup coffee maker. WiFi Cable tv Fire pit Two chairs on the porch great views There's plenty of sleep space with blankets sheets pillows, comfy couches small shower. We went to Wild Fork Stables to horse back riding. 30 mins away. At least 45 mins from Natural Bridges. There's a grocery gift shop 10 mins from Lago Bear Creek

My husband and I planned a fun weekend camping trip as our last one of the year, and after some…read morerecs from friends, decided to book sites at Lago Linda Hideaway. The booking process was decently easy; however, we were disappointed to see that it cost an additional $27 to choose your site, which felt steep and unnecessary. We forewent the cost and selected the option to have staff choose our site. We arrived around 8:30PM due to some hiccups on our travels. The office was still open and the place was busy. My husband went and checked us in. Since we hadn't selected a site, nor had they selected one for us, they gave us our choice of the 3 remaining sites. We drove around a few times and eventually landed on Piney Ridge #2. It was tricky to maneuver our truck/tent into the spot, but we managed. The woman who checked us in (one of the owners, I believe), said she didn't know that there was an extra charge to select your site or an option not to... seems like good info for them to know... Each site is supposed to come with it's own water and electric hookups. Sadly that wasn't the case for us. We had to call the front and ask to borrow 40ft of extension cords in order to use the electric AND had to ask the neighbor to unplug from one of the two outlets at HIS site. We also had to go into his camp or the other neighbor's whenever we wanted water. It wasn't the end of the world; just wasn't what we paid for. The campground is exttremely quiet after quiet hours (11PM), during the night, and in the AM. Super peaceful. It was also quiet during the day. The only time it was crazy was from 8-11PM when folks in their RVs were blasting music and partying. There are two bathrooms with showers and hot water. Be warned that one of them wasn't heated and I only got 2 min of hot water for my shower. They also aren't very clean or updated, but they certainly did the trick. They are also a HIKE from several of the sites, including ours, so be ready to go to the bathroom in the woods at night. The property itself is pretty and the skies were SO clear I think I saw more stars in one night than I have seen in years, cumulatively. The lake was the highlight. My husband and I spent an evening sitting on the dock talking and it was silent and peaceful and beautiful. There are several shared facilities on the property-- like a heated lounge area with a kitchen and a large covered deck and a communal dish washing station (which we used twice). Overall we had a REALLY good weekend and would stay here again. We like a mix of roughin' it and creature comforts when camping and that is just what Lago Linda delivered. I have a feeling we will stay here again!

We wanted something interesting to do and we have never driven off road, so Hollerwood Park was our choice. We rented a Polaris RZR and spent 4 hours on some incredible trails. They have anything from easy to outright insane. We stayed on the easy green trails. The four hours is not nearly enough time to cover just the easy trails and if you are adventurous there are even more advanced trails waiting for you. The Polaris was in excellent shape, almost new. It was a pleasure to drive. The suspension on the machine made the rough trails smooth. There was some mud, so keep that in mind as you pick your clothes. Dress like you are going on a hike. It was a total blast. The experience was totally worth it!

Hollerwood is an epic park and if you have never been you are missing out. They have everything…read morefrom easy to extreme. The park itself is easily located and pulling rv's in and out is easy. The trails are all well marked and most hard lines have bypasses that we found. This is a gem of a park located near some great restaurants for food and drinks. If you are out near this park I highly recommend it. We did it last year with the Great American Crawl and had a blast. Each individual got their own thermal spa, which is a tub at 120°. There is a pond and a cold plunge tub, sauna and shower. You're offered robes, towels, shower, citrus body scrub, herbal tea which is locally produced not for sale and a massage table where you can use tools and oil to give massages to one another. One way in and out of camp site, Private parking lot, no restaurant on site this is a pre planned event hosted by owner. Great customer service, Daphnia gave us a brief history of the area. We will definitely visit again. The campsite is conveniently located about 20-30 minutes to Natural Bridge State Park and the famous Miguel's (restaurant). There's gas stations along the way.

This is a brand new campground RIGHT outside of McKee. I was staying here during the Boone Forest…read moreRally this past weekend. The owner is very kind and works with you on arrival time. Currently, there are no bathrooms or showers, but electric and water hookup is done. My electric wasn't on, so they either don't have it going yet, or that's for campers only. There are some wheels to act as fire pits and fire wood is free for now. That may change once the place is more established, but it was a nice bonus. I was able to work around the bathroom situation easily enough despite being there in a tent. The park/splash area right across the creek has a bathroom that's open during daylight hours, however the stench was worse than the need to go. I'm excited to see how much changes between this year and next. Looking forward to having a clean bathroom and somewhere to shower without having to pull strings. I'm giving a 4 star review just for the bathroom situation and fully expect to update it to 5 stars next year.

We stayed at a full hook up sight at the front of the campground where we personally enjoyed. Some great perks of the location of the campground is just across the bridge they are a splash pad and play ground for the kids. A short walk up the road you have our Mexican restaurant as well as a short drive you have save a lot and dollar store and the chicken hut and Dairy Queen if you want to make a food run. The owners are wonderful people with so much hospitality and kindness. They was always smiling and happy to help if they was needed. They sell firewood on site and working to grow the campground by adding a general store, primitive camping and cabins in the future to accommodate more campers. If you're looking for a nice getaway we recommend giving McKee Campground your business. And support a small business trying to make a difference for our county. We look forward to booking again soon.

I was in Richmond this weekend for a fellow EKU alumnus' memorial sevice. Wanting to see what…read moreattractions were around. I found this accidentally by looking at a local Google map and this Griffiti Bridge showing up on the map. I clicked on it out of curiosity. Oohh, cool, so I came and took photos. One difference based on others' photos? The bridge is blocked off to traffic on both ends now. You can park right before the bridge and still walk on it. The bridge surface is entirely covered in colorful painted graffiti.
