I was told "we don't care, we have hundreds of positive reviews so yours won't matter" but I'm…read moreleaving this here anyway, because maybe it matters to one of you. We were very disappointed with our recent stay at 4 Guys. We found the park to be poorly managed and the staff rude and unwilling to follow their own policies. We called before booking and asked about the procedures regarding moving from one site to another. We were told that since checkout is at 11, we shouldn't have a problem, and when we asked for a late checkout to be sure they told us they would be unable to grant one since someone would be coming into our site the next day. When we checked in I again reminded the staff person that we would be moving sites, and asked if the person coming into our site had paid a lock fee. She told me they had, and that we shouldn't have a problem moving at 11 on our day of switching sites. When we went to move sites, we waited for a half an hour past checkout to see if the person in our next site would leave, before finally checking with the office, at which point we were informed that they had given the person in the new site permission to stay until 12:30. They did not communicate with us about this, so we had already pulled our hookups and slides, leaving us in limbo. In talking with the staff the first staff person at checkin had actually lied- the person coming into our original site did not in fact pay a lock fee. We suggested that the solution would be to simply move them into the site we were supposed to occupy but they said they do not enforce the lock fees and that no one pays them, but that they didn't want to inconvenience the person by asking them to move. Furthermore they said that while it says checkout is at 11, it's really at 1, since they don't enforce people leaving their sites until then. They used this repeatedly as a justification for why we shouldn't be upset about having to wait for the person leaving our site to be back. To be clear, we were mostly upset with their poor attitude and lack of communication- simply calling us and letting us know would have resulted in a much more comfortable situation for two hours. That said, in over 5 years of RV travel (3 of that fulltime) we have never encountered an RV park that admitted that their site lock fees are irrelevant and that checkout can be between 11 and 1, not 11 as their paperwork's states. They finally did call the folks coming into our site, but instead of simply informing them that they had to move, they just asked if they'd be willing. The person was hesitant and said she'd have to call back, so we all waited awkwardly in the office. One of the office ladies agreed this was her fault, but then said my "negative energy" was preventing her from effecting a solution. I was understandably upset about the situation (which was derailing our plans for the day and making the extra night we had paid for irrelevant) and made that clear, but was also respectful while being insistent that something could be done, they were just refusing to do it. They continued to complain that the new owners switched over to campspot and that they hated the new system. Appropriate customer service would have been to simply apologize and follow their own procedures, which state that they can move someone if they done pay a lock fee. They could have offered us a discount, a free coke, something, not complaining about their boss and their computer system. We said that if they were unable to find a solution they could just refund us and we would leave, and they saidwe would still be out the $10 reservation fee. I told them this would result in a negative review, and they replied "we don't care, we have hundreds of positive reviews so yours won't matter". We have been repeat customers here but will never again stay- and I strongly urge other RV owners to look at other options that care more about your business and satisfaction than the "negative energy" that gets created when they make a mistake they won't fix.

Upon our arrival, we checked in with no issues, set up our tent, and then tried to get into the shower house to use the bathroom and shower off before the temperatures dropped for the evening. I was told by the woman manning the front desk that the shower code was in my email. Very foolishly, I trusted her. We were unable to access the showers or the bathrooms within the shower building- the bathrooms next to the shower building were boarded shut for the winter. We searched my email high and low, and there was no shower code- not in my inbox, not in my spam, not in any folders. After conferring, we decided to call the after-hours number. No one answered, so we left a message and headed to Miguel's Pizza for dinner. An hour passed, and we hadn't heard anything, so we called again- no response. We were never contacted about our message, and we checked out the next morning with no further contact regarding that issue. But before we left- we headed over to fill up our water bladder and water bottles before hitting the trail for a long hike. We were in the middle of doing so, when a woman in a white car came over and (very passive aggressively) asked us if we were checking in to that site. We responded that we were just filling up on water and would be leaving shortly. She harrumphed and drove off, but it was obvious that she wasn't pleased with us doing so. We finished filling up and left, agreeing to never stay there again. I'm afraid that Natural Bridge Campground has just permanently lost themselves two customers.

It's nestled back into nature and right on the Kentucky River of course. We are full timers and have been living here for 4 months and we are going to be sad to leave. The campground is filled with everything you need. There's an awesome common room with tables a fridge stove TV/Cable also A WiFi Cafe (just ask for password) and laundry room. So many things all there for your use. There's also an awesome men's and womens restroom that they just redid the floors in and are now painting! Two showers each is very convenient. If you want a fire pit by your camper just ask! Most people here have their own. You may not be parked on the river. But it's just. Short walk and benches are available for enjoying the views. It's a very short walk to the water from anywhere in the camp. Most of the campers here are share holders and only come for the weekends so during the week it's very quite and relaxing. Many weekends there have been live bands and so many other fun activities going on! Every is usually friendly and polite. Don't forget to wave at your neighbors! Charles, Rus, and another gentleman (sorry I forgot your name) do an amazing job to accommodate you during your stay and work hard to make the campground what it is. Don't forget the office where you'll check in and such has items available for sale from sweets to t shirts.

Grounds were well maintained. Nice, quiet, and peaceful location for a quick stay or extended trip. Would definitely return. Most impressed with all the staff and campers that made us feel like family. Since we were without a truck for 6 days, we were offered rides, food or anything we needed. One long term camper, Chuck offered us his truck for the day! In traveling, you don't always look at the physical amenities a place has to offer, but the personal connection that the "camping family" provides. Thanks Angie, Russ, Chuck, Kelly, Bryan and all. While our truck was delivered back to us, the kitchen slide broke (on our new camper) . Sadly, our long awaited trip to Maine was cancelled as we had to return home. Still waiting for repairs.

I think I was a little afraid that the campground would be similar to Miguel's -- lots of party-time people and little privacy. However, our small group was pleasantly surprised that many of the sites had their own sense of "place." While few of the sites are completely secluded, they at least have plenty of trees around them to give you a tiny bit of privacy. We got a double-pad site since we had two tents, and this was more than enough room. The pads are very generously sized, so if you have one of those ginormous 8-person tents that are bigger than a Manhattan studio apartment, you should have no issue setting it up. Each site comes with a picnic table (ours had 2 but not sure if that was because it was a double?) and a fire pit. You can purchase wood and ice at the campsite host. There are also some short but fun trails that lead off from Koomer Ridge, and I think at least one connects to the Rough Trail, which is a very long trail going through the Gorge that also lives up to its name. The only downside is you can hear the traffic from the road fairly easy, but giving how close the campground is to the main road, this isn't really surprising. I just figure it's part of the territory with car camping as opposed to backpacking.

Wonderful, spacious sites and nice clean facilities - what more do you really need? The campground is conveniently located near the highway and for short drives to the surrounding area for hiking, sightseeing and whatnot. There is access to at least one cliff trail at several points around the campground, and you're never too far from a pit toilet. But if those aren't your idea of a nice place to do your business, the actual restroom and shower facilities are amazingly clean. My only complaint is that the frogs don't know what "quiet time" means.
