Excellent all around service! On August 11th I called their online customer service and after satisfying my questions I placed an order for a table pad. The rep then said they were going to expedite the order and I will receive it within two weeks. Confirming emails received were timely, efficient and informative. Much to my surprise my order was delivered five days later, August 16th. The quality of the table pad is such that I would definitely order from them again. We purchased our table pads in October of 2020. They lasted approximately three years. They have been coming unglued bit by bit over the last three years as well as warping. At this point they are completely ready for the trash. The product is cheaply made. We will never do business with these people again. read more

I purchased my tablepad in 2007, with an Unconditional Guarantee (warranty). It basically indicated that any damage to the pad would be fixed and replaced without need for receipt, etc. Now, I have tried to have my pad repaired and they are looking for proof of purchase for the warranty. The brochure and price sheet I have, clearly indicate no cost for the included warranty. I understand that there may be new policies around their warranties, but they will not honor the one I had. Not only are the staff and manager not informed of the previous warranty, they keep insisting because the company was sold, they will not honor, and have no record of prior purchases/warranties. My mother went in-person to claim the warranty and return the pads, and when confronted with their lack of honoring the purchase warranty, basically kicked her out of the storefront. She had made the effort to take care of this issue in person and the amount of grief and pure rudeness she received should be a warning to all. The prior owners/management might have been great, but do not try to deal with the people in charge now! read more

I purchased a table pad years ago and I bought the lifetime warranty. I called a few months ago and asked if I could receive a replacement because my table pad was damaged. I was told they did not have the measurements any longer and I needed to send in a trace. I sent in a trace and I received a table pad that did not match the trace I sent in. I've asked Melissa to verify the table pad trace I sent in and she will not verify the trace I sent in. Melissa told me I must pay for another table pad even though they are at fault. Management will not return my calls and it's apparent they sell warranties they refuse to honor. Now my calls are not being returned. read more

I wish I had a option for not even selecting one star. Bought the table pads in 2023. The representative never mentioned about warranty. The website also is not user friendly and hard to find about warranty. Firstly when I placed the order they send the pads with wrong dimensions. Recently the leather ripped and when I called for warranty, the customer service person Glen was rude while informing about the warranty policy. I would not recommend anyone to go with them. Beyond terrible. I wish I had checked the Yelp reviews. Customer support is terrible and the quality is below average. I needed the table pad before the holidays. I spoke live with the salesperson, confirmed that I would receive the item and paid extra to ensure that was the case. The item didn't show up and I called to inquire as to the status. I was told that the item slipped through the cracks but they would try to make it as soon as possible... but the salesperson was not happy to help and appeared to make me feel guilty that she was having to do extra work to fix the mistake. Unfortunately, the items failed the quality check and had to be remade again, further pushing out the deliver time. And rather than expediting the shipment via overnight to correct for Berger's 2 mistakes, they chose to ship it standard which ensured that they failed to meet the primary goal I had which was to receive the item by a specific day to ensure I had it for the holidays. Years ago we had a square table made for our modest sized dining room, which then made it impossible to find a table cloth that was square and 60X60 inches. I found myself doubling up rectangle tablecloths and creatively folding over round tablecloths with the help of another person just to get them to simply cover the entire table. Do you know those promo flyers that come in your neighborhood mailers? Don't ignore those! I did. For way too long. "Custom Made Table Pads/Tablecloth: 50%-70% Off Everything Blowout Sale!!" One day I decided I'd had enough so I called the 800# and Tammie Pitrelli answered. Five stars for excellent customer service. Tammie took the measurements of our table, explained the custom drape length, and discussed colors with me. She applied that "Blowout Sale" discount and quoted me a very reasonable price for two custom made square table linens. I placed the order December 4, expecting the tablecloths to arrive after Christmas. Wrong! They came about two weeks after I ordered them and fit perfectly. Ordered this table pad months ago knowing it would take awhile and got about a week sooner than expected BUT it is a piece of crap!! The colors on the separate pieces don't match!!! The seams don't line up and the magnets don't "click together" !!! As expensive as their products are you would expect something that doesn't look like it was made in China!!! This product should have NEVER been shipped!! I asked if they have any quality control department or an inspector at least!! Someone had to make this and someone had to ship it!! If I had read the reviews and Better Business Bureau complaints about this company, I would have looked elsewhere for a table pad. I placed my order on August 12, 2022 and found that my credit card was immediately billed, even though the salesman (Chris) told me that would take 8-12 weeks to get my table pad and leaf bags. Yes, the salesman agreed to include leaf bags at no extra cost. The reality is that I called at 12 weeks to say that I hadn't received anything. At that time, I was told that they should arrive "very soon". I waited another 2 weeks and couldn't get through to anyone. The phone rang and rang until it went to a voice mail message. However, l was unable to leave a message because the "mailbox was full". I began calling different extensions until I finally got through to a real person. When I explained the problem, that person redirected my call to the same extension that was unable to accept messages. I called back and told them not to transfer me and to personally talk to whomever was supposed to answer the #2 (awaiting shipment) option. I reached "Noah" and explained that if I didn't receive my order in the next few days, I was going to contact my credit card company to have the order refunded. At that time, I was told that my table pad would be cut that weekend and sent out FedEx overnight. WHAT?!?! They hadn't even started working on my table pad until week 14???!? The following week, I still hadn't seen my order. Again, I had to dial different extensions to get through to a live person. I finally reached my sales person, Chris. He said that he personally packed my order and took it to shipping. I demanded a FedEx tracking number, but he said that FedEx didn't give them a tracking number. I expressed my disbelief that a shipping company wouldn't provide a tracking number for an overnight shipment. Finally, my table pad arrived 2 days later (14 weeks and 5 days after placing my order and my credit card being charged). I'm still dissatisfied because the pad has wrinkles on the edges and imperfections at the folds. The quality is definitely not worth the $367.00 I paid. Additionally, I have not received the leaf bags or table pad bags I was promised. I left a message explaining the missing leaf bags, but have yet to hear from Berger's or the salesman, Chris. I'm doubtful that they will make this right, but I will amend this review if they do. Funny, once I received my table pad, Berger's began sending me periodic ads via email. I've changed my previous 1-star review to 3 stars. After a 10-day struggle to contact someone at Berger's, both by phone and email, one of their customer service reps, Sherri, finally called and agreed that the damaged/defective table pad they originally sent me would be replaced free of any charges. About a week later, I received it in good condition. I wouldn't say, now, to think twice about ordering from them, but just beware that you "might" receive a product that is not in pristine condition, and getting it fixed will take you some effort. It's not beyond coincidence that it took me to write bad reviews on Yelp, Google, and finally on their Facebook page to get a phone call and have it fixed. I placed my order (which I paid for in full) over a month ago. I have gotten NO information regarding the status of my order. I phoned three separate times, twice I left voicemails with the order number and my contact information, but never heard back. The third time, I got someone live who told me that they would have to 'get back to me' regarding my order. As of writing this, I still haven't heard anything back. I might add that that my order cost over $500, so I am a very concerned about this being a complete scam. The holidays are approaching quickly, and so far, I have no table pads and no information as to whether they will be here at all. This company has some serious problems with their technology and their customer service. It's one thing if there is a glitch in the system, I ordered my pads 9/11 and still don't have them as of 11/29 (not in time for Thanksgiving). Sometimes customer service can make up for a system problem but in this case I was supposed to get a call back on 11/20, a call back on 11/22 and a call back on 11/27 and never got one I had to call each of those days myself. And after spending $400 they only gave me $50 back to make up for their mistakes. If your an online ordering system company and that doesn't work AND your customer service is soooo bad what do you have? What can you be proud of? Nothing. Find another company to do business with. I ordered my table tops at the end of May 2021 as a result of an incorrect table top that Berger's had sent to us months before. It's now July 29th, I do not have my tops. The times I have spoken with Mike the salesman, it's been one excuse after another. Everything from their internal quality issues to production scheduling. Not my problem. You took my money, now deliver my product timely. There has been several other calls to Mike and to their manager Randy that have been unreturned. Ridiculous that as a paying customer, I have to continue to chase my prepaid product status. I just got off of the phone with one of their customer service operators who was also no help at all and not very friendly. There are plenty of table pad companies out there. I called to order my table pads way before Thanksgiving in hopes to have them for the Thanksgiving or at the very least before Christmas. I explain to my salesmen Mike that i needed them as soon as possible. I was told on Dec 21 they shipped and I will have them Christmas Eve. My salesman said he would send me an email with the tracking information. December 24 , I had not received the email, So I called and they sent me to Mike's voicemail. After not receiving a call back, I called again and asked to speak to someone else who told me they do not send tracking information that tracking info has to come from FedEx not them. This is a complete lie. I proceeded to call multiple times and was told different stories. My pads never came, so on Dec 26th I called and the person told me my salesperson was on vacation and my pads were never picked up by FedEx. I was given a supervisors name Ryan and his phone number and told to call on Monday. On Monday, December 28 I called Ryan three times and left a detailed message and he never called me back. It is now 4 days since i called my sales person Mike and have not received a call back. I spoke to a women tonight who said they are still in the factory. Three lies and no call backs!! They have made 2 table pads for me. The 2nd was for a very intricate designed table. They did an excellent job. They sent me papers for me to trace the design which was easy to do. They even made separate leaf pads so no matter how many leafs are in the table it is still protected. I would highly recommend them. When matching color be sure to chose the edge of the table and not the top. read more

Called and spoke to a customer service representative who quoted a price of of $565. When I balked at the price, I was told it would have cost $862 without the discounts and the best they could do is $469.40. I didn't feel good about working with this company. The reasons: 1) the price was outrageous, 2) used car salesman approach - she kept saying they are one of only two companies in the U.S. that make table pads and sent me a screenshot of the alleged competitor's higher price when I asked to cancel my order, 3) seemed deceptive. She attributed the bad Yelp reviews to customers who provided incorrect measurements. Really? All 100+ of them? I am awaiting a refund since my credit card was promptly charged. I placed an order for a custom dining room table pad in July 2020 and after many months of waiting and many different excuses for not receving the pad, I requested a refund. I ordered and paid for a table pad 4/4/2022 on-line through their website. I didn't get any type of e-mail acknowledgment, so I searched their website and finally found a phone number. The guy who answered said I should have ordered by phone instead of on the web - he confirmed my order. I wrote to Lyn@tablepads.com on 4/14 - but got no reply. I called and was told my order should be here mid May. I wrote again on 5/24 when I still didn't have the pad. Crickets!! The pad was delivered on 5/31. I am not please with the quality. As an interior designer, I purchase many table pads and extenders for clients- tens of thousand a year. My client was having two Senators for dinner and they'd just moved into their new apartment and the table wasn't large enough to accommodate 12. I usually order from HEARTLAND TABLE PADS Manufacturing 401 N. Main St (395) Wolcottville, IN 46795 1 888 487 2377 but knowing I needed so quickly, I Googled "Table Extender Miami". This company came up as a Miami based company. I spoke to Chris Carmack (sp?) and he confirmed that the extender would ABSOLUTELY arrive Friday morning 10am without a problem. Thinking they were in Miami, I offered to send our driver to pick up but it was explained that they are not local. They have many domains so be careful! We readily agreed to pay a hefty overnight shipping charge without any issue. I emailed on Thursday to confirm shipment and to get tracking - NO REPLY. Friday morning 10am, my client contacted me that the table extender hadn't arrived. I called the company, Tammy assured me she would get back to me with a a tracking number. I waited 45 mins before meeting a different client at a jobsite so I called back- Tammy advised she still didn't have tracking and would get back to me. They called and left a message assuring me it had shipped but that THEY COULDN"T FIND A TRACKING NUMBER. I called back- I called back- I called back. I called and spoke to multiple people, I left messages for supervisor, Ryan- no call back. Sales rep Chris- no call back. I called and some unprofessional woman told me the only person who has tracking information is the sales rep, who isn't there today and the Manager Ryan, is not there either. The professionalism is astounding (I say in jest). In the middle of my incredible frustration that there's not a sole in the company that can assist me, while I was still talking, she just transferred me back to another voicemail because she didn't want to deal with me. If the sales rep quit today or g-d forbid something happened to him, no tracking can be obtained by the company. How can a business run like that?! My client is without a table pad and I am so incredibly frustrated at the total lack of professionalism. I spent an entire day in between meetings calling Bergers (Bergers must stand for "BS") Table Pad Company. A cardholder dispute coming after this review. I ordered a table pad from this company and it arrived in the wrong dimensions. Could not reach customer service after three attempts and left voice messages. Finally after a terse email to the sales associate, received a phone call from him stating that customer service was out for a few days. And then we had a discussion on the dimensions that were ordered. Clearly there was miscommunication. Never order anything over the phone where someone can claim information was not properly provided. Fill out a form that is then saved so there is no doubt. They charged my account back in March, also cashed a check for table pad bags, which I doubt I will ever get refunded. I received a coupon in a mailer and thought I would give it a try. Cost over $300. Ordered on Nov 10 and had to pay in full. Didnt receive until Jan 14th. I called so many times. They did not get back to me every time. Template they sent for ME to measure was lost. They said they sent me another one but the table pad finally arrived and a day after so did the second template. The quality is NOT what I expected for what I paid. I will be calling to complain about some of the edges on the two extension pads that were not straight and probably need to be glued or cut down. Mismanaged garbage company, lost original order than covered it up when I called to check on delay. Promised multiple delivery dates only to to have those come and go without table cloth. Dealt with Bailey a sales rep and Ryan the "Supervisor" both were beyond useless . When they did answer the phone ( never returned any phone calls) I got a ton of excuses as to why my table cloth hadn't been completed. Then when I was informed that it was finished, there was and issue with the shipping. I wasn't going to be in town so I requested that the cloth be shipped to another address, it wasn't . Luckily a friend happened by and found it at my front door. I have no idea what sort of quality it is, as I haven't returned to view it. If their product is anything like their customer service I'm sure its an expensive piece of inferior workman ship. Save your self a lot of aggravation by avoiding any dealings with this company .
