Well, they have some regular hours for the holiday season and now is the perfect time to go see this Francine's, which is in the same location as 7th Avenue Nails & Spa. The owner, Tammy, is a wonderful lady and soooo friendly! The boutique has a nice selection of vintage women's clothing- mostly dresses and coats, a few pairs of shoes and some BEAUTIFUL vintage ladies' hats. Tammy told me that she focuses on acquiring clothing from the 30's-70's and she makes sure that every piece is in excellent condition. The prices aren't bad at all, and they are running a 30% off every item in the store sale right now. There's also a nice selection of vintage costume jewelry and some handmade scarves. As I mentioned, there are several vintage coats on the racks here, and when I asked Tammy about a particularly saucy leopard print one, she revealed that vintage coats are her true passion. The prices aren't bad at all, especially with the extra 30% discount! Since there's a nail salon here too, I happened to be lucky enough to pick up a few bottles of clearance OPI and China Glaze at only (drumroll please) $2 a bottle! Wow, I am really excited about these - four bottles for less than the price of one normally! One of the best things about Francine's is their merchandise from the Anne Taintor (www.annetaintor.com) collection. These vintage-inspired accessories for modern life are hilarious. Go to the website and check them out. Tammy let me know that Francine's is the exclusive southside retailer to carry the line. I shop in here about every 6 weeks and they put out new inventory often. As with every thrift store you will not always find something you like. They have men's and women's clothes, dishes, craft items, home decor, and furniture. Their selection of furniture is usually very nice and at reasonable prices. If you need help with anything there is always someone around to help you. They also carry glass items for the kitchen as well as plates, dinnerware, utensils. I found all of the dishes for my daughter's wedding here. Stop in and support your community. Don't let the stairs deter you from visiting as a ramp is located to the left of the stairs. It is slightly steep but manageable for most. You are entering two floors of gorgeous country, farmhouse, and primitive decor. Every inch of the two floors is staged beautifully. Most of the items sold have wonderful displays of how to use the merchandise. Wonderful ideas, and if you have any questions, just ask for assistance. The owner, I'm assuming, was friendly and answered all my questions. She allowed us to wander at our pace and not be underfoot.
