While this maybe a small dealership their commitment to quality whether it be a purchase or service work, you can rest assured of a fair price and reasonable amount of time to do. I have dealt with all Bergey's locations ( gmc/chrysler/volvo in franconia and souderton, chevrolet in colmar ) all agencies are always straight forward and fair in their dealings. The most non professional dealership I ever dealt with in my life .I bought at least 10 cars in the last 12 years for both business and personal and I never got treated like they treated me .No follow up and lies about not receiving the emails .I called the sales person(Patrick Clarke )cell no respond .the first day I want there I spent 3 hours I only got no more then 20 min of his time .it was all a waiting game trying to pull information from him about the car and the credit process .then the next day I waited for his respond about the credit application we sent him no call back I most called 5 times until he finally call and said he is missing some information on the application and he will call me after 10 minutes after he receives my email .after 2 hours I called and asked to talk to the sales manager .he apologized and told me he will call me in 2 hours to give me the statist of my application so I can send my partner who took a day off waiting for the green light to go finish the paper work .Pat called not even 1 min after I finished talking to his manager (Scott) telling me we have being approved and he have all the information and my partner should come to sign the papers . I left work I picked up my partner and went there .and they made us wait 45 min tell the finance came and ask for my partner ID witch he had only a copy of it they didn't want accept it and we left .in that point I didn't want to deal with them any more .my partner dropped me off and called the manager left him a message to secure they are going to make a sale if go back with his ID he never got a call back even next day . I would NEVER step a foot on that dealership Again and i will make a sure I tell all the people I deal with . read more

I went to Bergey Ford yesterday to test drive a 2014 Ford Fusion that was advertised as having navigation. When I got in the car, that's when I was told that the car didn't have navigation and that it must've been a'typo' on the listing. The manager 'apologized ' for the 'typo'. (However, he only lowered the price a measly $200) He also said that they would correct the error immediately but I just checked- and it's still listed as having navigation. TALK ABOUT BAIT AND SWITCH!! I ended up taking my blank check to a reputable dealer instead. read more

Horrible. Would never have bought there except I was getting desperate. Would never go there again, nor recommend anyone else go there unless you are desperate, and ready to deal with lying and abusive staff. When it's more than one employee acting that way, you know it has trickled down from the management and/or owner. The salesperson not only knew next to nothing about the Ford car I bought, but was perfectly fine with saying so and seeing no reason to find out any info that i asked -- then had the nerve to tell me she knew what she was doing because she does this every day. She also gave me incorrect info about multiple things, including the fees charged by their own sv dept. (Remember, if your warranty is from the dealer, they can potentially tell you there's nothing wrong with your car when you bring it in for warranty repair, then charge you a diagnostic fee of $100 or so. They didnt even wash the car before handing it over -- despite lying and saying they did. When I asked for the trash in the trunk (under the spare tire) to be vacuumed before I took the car home, I was told, "they wont lift the tire to vacuum underneath." This is the least of the abuse, i cant even list it all here. The manager, Scott -- despite being nice the first time I came in -- did nothing but contradict himself -- aka lie -- about the condition of the car and the certification process, when i came in to buy it. They refused to give me a ride 10 mins away to return my rental car to Enterprise. The salesperson said she might be busy with another customer so even though i was buying the car from her, she would not give me her time to drop off my car. Even though i was buying the car, she said she would wait on me at the same time as someone else if they came in, that is their policy. Every time i asked to speak to a manager or get warranty info, those people "were in the middle of working on a deal" even tho i walked over and they were alone and not with anyone -- and even though i said i'd be happy to wait til they were done. The warranty person wrote warranty quotes on sticky notes. I knew i needed a car right away when i went in, or of course i would have walked out -- any of you who have read my other reviews know i have done this multiple times when other dealers do their abusive game. They are really mental terrorists. IF THEY ASK YOU TO LEAVE YOUR RENTAL CAR THERE TO BE PICKED UP AFTER YOU[VE GONE -- KNOW THAT YOU, YOU, YOU! ARE RESPONSIBLE TO THE RENTAL CAR COMPANY IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO THAT CAR WHILE IN THEIR POSSESSION. TIL THE RENTAL COMPANY HAS THE KEYS BACK, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE, SO DO NOT BELIEVE BERGEY'S LIES WHEN THEY TELL YOU "IT'S FINE, EVERYONE DOES IT"! I overheard another employee degrading a woman customer over the phone, and then telling his coworker how stupid she was. When i tried to defend her, he started verbally attacking me. On the phone, the operator pretended I was yelling at her so she could hang up on me. It was endless. Some other piece of garbage salesperson came over to try to synch my phone with the car, and when he pushed a bunch of buttons on my phone and i asked him what he did -- i never gave him permission to change my phone without knowing what he did -- he berated me by saying he wasnt going to "give me a tutorial" on how to use my phone. AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL people. If you are into S and M and like being on the receiving end of humiliation, go shop for a car, and include Bergey's Ford of Ambler on your list. Also, not once, all day during the horrible process, did anyone say "thank you." read more

On 6-23-17 I purchased a CPO 2014 ford escape from your dealership & as I test drove the vehicle with sales rep. Mr. Godshall ,I noticed a couple of sounds that concerned me . The first was a squeaky sound as I drove the escape (was told that was because it had been sitting for awhile..over 60 days on carguru.com) & the other was a clicking sound whenever the wheels were turned while parking(was told that may be normal for that vehicle) the vehicle . After we returned from the test drive the vehicle was taken into service & the squeaky noise was gone , but the clicking sound wasn't , so I returned about a week later & someone in the service dept. took a ride with me to address the clicking problem . Once again I was told this may be normal , to which I took their word until I was lucky enough to ride in another escape of the same year & model & was told their escape never had no clicking sound when the wheels were turned or parking . It was then I realized I was sales pitched & they either didn't know what they were talking about or just gave me the line I was told when I first joined the Phila. Police Dept. in 1974..If you can't dazzle them with brilliance , then baffle them with bullshit !! This baffled customer took my vehicle to Pacifico Ford & was told my bearings were bad & that my right front axle had to be replaced . I ended up having to spend about 108.00 + dollars(my 100.00 deductible from just one of my overpriced plans I was talked into getting..lucky I did..I guess !!) for something that should have been fixed before that escape was ever sold , especially as a Certified Pre Owned vehicle !! My sales rep. may not have known , but the guy in the service dept. at Bergeys Ford should have known those sounds were a problem !! One more issue was the inspection & emission stickers on the windshield..they expire in 3-2018..they should expire in 6-2018 because that's when i purchased the vehicle !! In the least I should be reimbursed that deductible I had to spend unnecessarily & those stickers should give me a full year instead of 9 months !!! I had to be the one calling and prodding information from sales team. I called on a truck that was out getting detailed, and I gave the salesman all my information for credit union and said call them and get it set up and I'll come in and test drive but we should be good. Well I call to see if they spoke with the credit union and I was told that some one the night before put a deposit down on the truck. Ok, so when I told you to call the credit union and get it all set 3 days ago that did not mean a thing.?.!? I drove over an hour to get there to be told it's getting detailed, then when you are supposed to call the credit union and get it set with them and you don't do it I get pushed to the side. My husband and I were in the market for a used SUV. After MONTHS of research, we determined that a Ford Escape was the best bang for our buck. After even more research, I found 2 options at Bergey's that seemed a little too good to be true. The mileage was low, CarFax checked out, condition looked good, Ford Certified Pre-owned, but the prices were lower than anywhere else. Follow more research into the dealership and overwhelmingly positive reviews, we decided to go check them out. I called ahead of time to ensure both cars were available (we were burned at a Honda dealership in Princeton last year when we bought my husband's car where they told us it was available but when we got there it was gone) and Mary was extremely helpful in checking the inventory and even double checked the physical keys! Everyone we met was very friendly and accommodating but Keith Godshall was our salesman and he was fantastic! He made himself available but was not pushy or your typical sleazy salesman (no offense). He was happy to answer our questions and was very personable. Both cars looked great and drove well so we went ahead with the purchase. It was a very smooth process complete with ZERO haggling or hidden fees. There was a little bit of push when it came time to discuss extended warranties, but that's to be expected and we were quickly easy to find common ground. Also, the facilities were very nice and clean with a comfortable lounge area for those that have to wait. Also, if you have kids they have a great little kids corner to help keep them occupied. I can't say enough about how skeptical we were going into Bergey's but how pleased we were leaving. It was a pretty stress free process and though we've only had the car for a few days at this point, we're very happy with our choice in car and dealer! read more

Long and short, bought a Ford edge from them... Problems from the start. Come to find out, guy who had it before me required the electric in the car which is why it was dying. Decided too much worrying, got a truck from them.. Partially my mistake, but it had been "inspected " 3-4 weeks before I bought it. Didn't think to look at tires and brakes myself. When I realized both were so low I'd need new ones soon, contacted the salesman. He said "they're fine on the paper work but I'll get you some quotes." Again, partially my fault for not looking but their deceptive business practices are far from ok. I have bought 5-6 cars from bergeys in Lansdale, souderton, and on this one in ambler. Do not purchase your vehicle from them. I seldom take to social media about this sort of thing... But it was 2 cars with major issues, and I'm not a "car guy" persay so now I'm in the hole another $1500. Ridiculous. Save your money and time and go somewhere else they won't screw you over ... After buying 2 cars in 4 weeks. Not worth the trouble or aggravation of trying to find $1500 before winter kicks off. Thanks for nothing bergeys. Needless to say, I am so upset I'm refusing their "free first oil change" and taking my business elsewhere. Based solely on the principle that they do not care about customer service. read more

This dealership used to be a decent place to buy a vehicle. Not great, not horrible but good. Three years ago I bought a Ford Fiesta and got a pretty good deal and decent trade in. Back then; they had an old sales building, low volume and were friendly. Now this dealership is just plain lame. They spent all this money and built a new facility; and now it's low volume with high prices and terrible terrible terrible trade in values. The old place would never have tried to low ball me with a ridiculous trade in offer. If your going to buy a ford, go to a higher volume dealer who isn't trying to recoup their new building expenses by over charging their customers. It's a shame that I wont go to a dealer that I could actually walk to. I like to give the local businesses in my community my patronage. But I wont be totally ripped off. I miss the Old Bergey's Ford, with the old building, and friendly people who gave you a good deal. read more

I purchased a Ford Certifed used 2013 Flex and drove three hours to seal the deal. It was worth making the trek because the general manager Scott Burkart and my salesman Joe Davis were able to offer me the price I wanted for the Flex I wanted (I had walked out of multiple dealerships over a period of two months in my car buying search). The dealership is family oriented and doesn't have the typical slick salesman...THANK GOODNESS. I didn't have to pay any bullshit dealership fees or processing fees which was awesome. We had agree upon a price over email and I had secured financing through my credit union (they didn't even try to bother me about financing through Ford which was nice). I drove in with my trade and Mr. Burkart offered me $200 more than he had guaranteed me over the phone...very impressed. This dealership treated me right when many other Maryland dealerships failed to impress me. I'll be back one day. Thank you Scott and Joe! read more

I came to this dealership yesterday from the DC area to help my friend in his search of a very specific used vehicle. My friend ended up buying the vehicle from the dealership and bringing it home. We dealt with Michael Thompson who we had been corresponding with us via email and phone prior to our arrival yesterday. He was professional and good at communicating with us using these electronic methods. However, there are a few reasons why I can't give this place 5 stars. First off, we drove almost 2.5 hours out of state to come to this dealership to look at a vehicle and had an appointment with Michael Thompson. But, he did not spend much time with us and was juggling our appointment between other customers. He told us upon our arrival that he would have to do this and while we said it was "okay", what choice did we really have? Maybe he felt that we didn't need much guidance because we knew exactly what we wanted? However, I think we deserved a little more attention and time than he showed us. Secondly, the vehicle was delivered to us in poor shape. When you tell us that you are going to run the vehicle across the street to get it detailed, it shouldn't take thirty minutes. Michael said that there were two guys working at this detailing place and so that is why it was so quick and efficient. When the vehicle was returned to us, the only change in its appearance was that the interior had been vacuumed and they added tire dressing to the tires. Consumers buy vehicles from dealerships and are willing to pay a little more for the convenience, service, and warranty that a private party seller cannot offer. This is what we expected from Bergey's yesterday and I cannot recommend this place over another dealership. Average at best. read more
