I had an awful service experience at A&T Subaru. I had taken my car in for a basic oil change, state inspection and review of TSBs. I had a scheduled appointment for Friday at 945am. They didn't even look at my car until some point late Saturday (beyond when I could pick it up) and were still "finishing it up" Monday morning. They stated that they "misplaced my paperwork". Poor communication. They also wrote my paperwork up incorrectly and tried to charge me $300 for work I did not need. They eventually made the whole appointment free, but I have a bad taste in my mouth. I have since taken my car elsewhere and confirmed that the "dead battery" is completely healthy. It's obvious to me that A&T Subaru does NOT value my business, my time or me as a customer. They disappointed me at every step of this process and I feel very much taken advantage of, when I took my car there in good faith. I won't be taking any vehicles there for service and will choose to purchase vehicles elsewhere in the future. A&T Subaru does not represent the values or character of the Subaru brand that I've known and driven for the last 15+ years. read more

One thing I've learned in my time working with the public is that follow through is essential. When someone in the business says it, it then means the business is accountable. Simple things like "We will call you back" or "Let me find an answer for you" are often easy to resolve and take a matter of moments. Or, in the event of A&T Subaru, these moments may not happen at all, and your experience may be completely void of it. Well, not the promise of course. It's easy to sell the promise of "We will call you back" because when it's days later and you don't, the person who said "We will call you back" isn't there to be held accountable, nor is the person who was told to call you back, so it just gets swept under the rug. And then, it happens again, in the same week. And then, you call to complain, and explain that you were prepared to possibly buy a new car there since it's the local Subaru dealer, and you're absurdly loyal to Subaru. You only want to go five minutes to the shop, not forty-five minutes. And you speak to the manager who is super nice and understanding about how his company looks like shit because his employees didn't do their job. So he, like the others before him, promises the world. And you arrive, the next morning, to receive the world promised to you. Only to find out that much like the prior two experiences before, this one was also just a wealth of lies thrust upon you. "We will call you back" turned into "You will need to call us back incessantly to get the answers you're looking for" "We will have a loaner car for you" turned into "I guess figure your shit out and pay hundreds of dollars for an Uber for our f**k up" No, no thanks. You all f**ked up enough already. As a matter of fact, three times in less than one week. Simple, simple tasks really. Simple tasks that could have earned a lifelong customer, but instead the disdain is just seeping through. I guess I would rather go forty-five minutes to the next closest shop than spend the next forty-five visits getting something that takes "0.9 labor hours" resolved. read more

After talking to the owner, he understood where we were coming from, he fixed our problem, and our car will be fixed , and they are taking care of the cost. They went above and beyond to make sure a very unhappy customer was happy, honestly I can't ask for much more. I truly appreciate them contacting us directly and discussing the issues. read more

The only reason A & T is getting two stars is because the Impreza I got was worth it for the price and mileage, but I believe it was sold one with a bad front wheel bearing and my brake pads were shot literally within the first month. It probably passed inspection with the minimum height allowed on the pad (.125" to .188"). Shortly after my purchase, I went to A & T in '16 to get the first oil change and they did that, but rotated the tires without my permission and tried to charge me. They also told me about the low brake lining on the pads which they should have taken care of before I got the car off the lot. The reason why i'm not happy is because I finally got my bearing replaced at Ciocca in Allentown this week and car drives like it never did before, quiet and soft. I must have been driving on a bearing that was going bad two years and it escalated to now. Thank God I have the 7 year, 100K warranty to cover this. I'm not trying to steer people away from this dealer because a lot of deals do the same, but i'm just stating my experience. My next Subaru will not come from A & T. read more

Got a new Subaru here. I live almost two hours away and they personally picked me up and drove me to the dealer for free. Tom was very helpful and showed me the features on the car and how they worked. He helped me program my favorite radio stations and found someone to help set up the cellphone. Had a wonderful experience with Sheila who sold us the car. Can't recommend her highly enough. The 3 stars rather than 5 is due to the business manager experience. I was only given 1 option for a lender which happened to be Philadelphia Police and Fire Federal Credit Union. This was a little unusual because in my previous experiences I was given a few options to pick from. Also the interest rate seemed a bit higher than I expected based on our credit. Nonetheless we were assured that this was the lowest rate available and admittedly to our fault we agreed to give them a try. DO NOT GO WITH PPFFCU. Once I saw my monthly interest I decided I wanted to make a principle only payment to reduce it and that is where the trouble started. PPFFCU has a terrible online banking platform and not great customer service. To do a principle only payment you need to call and get it approved by a supervisor They also have a transfer limit of $1000 a day from external accounts for some reason and their supervisors would not approve any transfer larger than this from my bank. Finally they set up a savings account for me without my permission when they took on my loan which I find to be pretty problematic. My current situation is that I need to do transfers of 1000 a day from my bank to my PPFFCU savings account until I get the amount I want to put against my principle and then I need to call PPFFCU to make the principle only payment. This is pretty unacceptable in 2019 and frankly I would take a slightly higher interest rate from a bigger bank to not have to deal with this. I can't say for sure but I do feel suspicious that because A&T has a relationship with PPFFCU they are going out of there way to push them as a lender. Seems a little shady at best. In a nutshell I wouldn't say not to go here for a car but I would say get more than one option for your car loan if you take one. read more

My wife and I purchased our third Subaru from A & T two weeks ago. As always the service was great and it's the reason why we come back to A & T. We purchased a 2022 Forester Touring that Stephen special ordered. Working with Stephen during the whole process was great and efficient from the start to the day the car arrived. The day we picked the car up we were given a tour of the vehicle by Jessica who walked us through all the new features and helped us customize all the settings the vehicle has to offer. She offered to schedule a follow up to go over any questions we may have after getting comfortable and driving the vehicle for a few weeks. I've purchased many cars over the years from many dealerships and have never experienced this type of customer service or have been offered to go over the settings of the vehicle. I absolutely love that you offer this service. Today I brought my vehicle into the service department for something minor and met John the service manager for the first time. John was fantastic, personable, and listened to my concern, he was a pleasure to deal with. Stephen, Jessica, and John are the reason why I will continue to purchase my vehicles from A & T and why I get my vehicles serviced here. if I could give a minus 10 stars I would. Until recently this dealership was incredible, 4 years of taking our cars for oil changes, but what I was told is the prior service manager retired and this place is now terrible. it is like a revolving door with personnel, rarely are the same personnel their at least that has been my observation. the personnel are rude, discourteous, disrespectful treating you like they are doing you a favor. No hello how are you, thank you for your business, which was the past behavior , just uncaring rude people who give the impression they dont care. we bought Subarus in back to back years and will never ever go back to A & T Subaru. we complained to Subaru of America who must have checked out our complaint because they reimbursed us for tires we bought in 2023 from another tire business, not A & T Subaru, but an outside business who sells nothing but tires in the amount of $1,041, so I am sure Subaru of America was not happy with the way we were treated, just my opinion, but an honest one at that. It stinks that I have to write this review because I did like my sales person BUT I just bought my second used Subaru with my son from them and within less than 12 hours it was back at the dealer because of a shifting issue in 3td gear. They have now had had the car for 2 weeks & it is still not done. They said they were too backed up to look at it until this week?!! Don't you think a car you purchased that didn't make it 24 hours would be a priority? I have been a Ford owner for 20 years but I was seriously thinking about the new Subaru SUV the Ascent but if I go that route I will not be going back to this dealer! So annoyed & disappointed! I think because my son was handling the issue that they just have been blowing him off. The 30 day transmission warranty on this car will be over half over since they have had the car so long!! I'm going to edit this review after talking to Tom the Service Manager. He explained some of the issues they were having & how the warranty process had to work. There was some miscommunication between them & my son so it was not all on their end. Still a little disappointed but I understand. They extended the 30 day transmission warranty for a full 30 days from when the car is done. I would like to update this to 3 & 1/2 stars but can't do halves so I will change to a 4 read more

Their service Is the best. Had a 2012 Forester with a starting problem. Did some research and seemed to be a service bulletin concerning the computer. Called 2 other dealers and they said they had to diagnose it and were not sure. Called A&T explained the problem they said they would check the computer. Arrived at the dealership and after check in they notified me there were some recalls. Gave me a loaner and when I came back at the end of the day all recalls were fixed and the starting problem was a computer reset that was also covered under warranty. Great staff. In the morning at drop off, literally everybody I met said good morning and had a great attitude. A really really good experience. read more

I just had the most incredible experience purchasing a car from this Subaru dealer. The 2015 WRX Premium can't be found anywhere in NJ and dealers are taking deposits before the cars are in the lot. I drove 70 miles after speaking via phone with Joe Hanna in sales (confirming that the car was on the lot) and he was a total professional when I got there- no hard sales, no 'cheesy tactics', just a fair business deal. The car had some dealer added accessories (short-throw shifter, extended center console, front floor matts) and I still walked out paying $3000 less than any other place could come close to...and all of their vehicles were still in transit. They gave me a fair deal on my trade-in (2007 BMW 3351 convertible with high mileage). I'm completely impressed with their professionalism, service, and overall demeanor. I STRONGLY recommend checking them out of you are looking for a Subaru....even if you need to drive from another state. read more

We bought a $27,000 used car there and the buying process while it took five hours, wasn't too bad. I asked that the logo be removed from the back and a scratch on the front be buffed out. Was told I needed to make an appointment because it was gonna take an hour and a half or so. I reminded them that we lived almost 40 minutes away, but it was what it was. When I brought it back it took them 10 minutes to remove the logo and told me they didn't have me scheduled for a detail for the scratches They delivered the car back to me dirty so naturally I complained, so they ran it through the car wash and gave it back to me completely soaking wet and now its all spotted. The service and detailing department of this dealership stinks. We do not recommend this dealership. read more

Watch out with the service department. They were dishonest. The managers were just as bad as the employees. They lied to me several times. Told me I did not have a warranty (on two separate occasions despite me purchasing one from Subaru when I bought the car). On several occasions they told me I needed work done, that was already done by them! Basically wanting me to duplicate work (hoping I would forget). The managers are very rude and don't seem to want to change despite me notifying them that some of their employees are dishonest. I am guessing this is encouraged by the organization. I am on my 5th car with A&T. I cannot say enough about how ENJOYABLE they make the car buying/leasing process. I almost always work Phil Lafiura (GM of Subaru) when I am ready to trade my car in, and he is amazing! He's super friendly, down to earth, knowledgeable and always is straight up and no BS. I am always in and out pretty quickly, and no stress or hidden fees that come up last minute! He's the best in the biz! The rest of the staff is just as fantastic, too. I have referred at least 6 friends/fam members to A&T and they're all equally as happy too, and some of them are now on their 2nd or 3rd Subaru too. I highly recommended A&T Subaru! read more

Took my 2019 legacy in for just a reg oil change... $70 later and the low pressure warning light goes off this morning. Just had my oil changed a week ago. Guy who checked my car in went through the whole system check telling me everything was topped off and my tires were brought up to 35 PSI. I checked when I got home and it still read the same PSI as when I took it there (27 PSI) and they didn't even top off my windshield fluid. What a joke. If you take your car here expect the bare minimum. I'm shocked they even changed my oil. Never taking my car here again! read more

Worst Sales and Service Dealer EVER! Do not waste your time and money at this dealership. The're sales team is complete idiots. They don't even know about the Subaru Guaranteed Trade in program until you mention it. Service, you might as well forget about that. Any issue you bring up to them, it's your fault, not the defunct vehicles they sell (Subaru). If you ask them to do anything, it's done half way, and not right. Also, never, EVER, sign the service receipt or your credit card receipt. They use that against you when you complain, and say you signed it so everything was done right. Go anywhere else but here. I've been going to A&T since I went to a local garage with my brand new Subaru and they put the wrong size oil filter on. I decided to go to A&T because I knew they would know what's going on with my car and not make those kinds of mistakes. Over the past three years of going here I have been continually pleased with the service. The people who make the appointments and call you to let you know your car is ready are always very polite and friendly. I also appreciate that the service center knows about the Subaru service schedule, so they remind me when it's time to do regular maintenance. I think there is a stigma associated with getting service done at a dealership, but I have found A&T's prices to be fair and reasonable. I can only think of one issue with A&T and that's their phone system. I've called and not been able to get through all day before because of issues with the phones. Eventually it works out and I'm able to make an appointment, but it's a little frustrating sometimes. I haven't purchased a car here yet, but I will definitely consider doing so when the time next comes around. They have a great selection and given the great service I've received in the service center, I can't imagine the sales side of things would be anything but a positive experience as well. read more

Very disappointed, I booked an appt to test drive a car, drove 40 minutes and when I arrived the sales associate I booked an appt with was too busy to see me, even though there was no one at his desk. They proceeded to tell me that the car I booked an appt for was sold hours beforehand. But I was assured at time of booking that someone would contact me if this had happened prior to my appt. So I test drive and looked at some other cars, being told that they could do some type of deal for me because I was misled and my time was wasted. What they offered me was insulting, don't even bother, they don't even try to make you feel like they want your business. I'll spend my hard earned time and money elsewhere. read more

My experience here was outstanding from beginning to end. I contacted the location in regards to a vehicle I'd seen online and was immediately provided all information for the vehicle over the phone. I worked with Steven who was extremely professional and patient during the process. He even contacted me on his day off to ensure me the vehicle would be ready for pick up the following day. He was understanding to the fact that I would be pressed for time when picking up my vehicle, so he arrived to work early the following morning and worked with a sense of urgency to get all documents taken care of in a timely manner. The manager was also very pleasant and accommodating to a few hiccups encountered during the sale. We had such a pleasurable experience at A & T Subaru. I was in a real bad situation with my previous car (BMW X1), being high-mileage and horrifically upside-down due to depreciation. Chris Anselmo worked really hard to help get me out of a bad situation and into a new 2018 Crosstrek (which I love). I can't recommend this dealer enough. Everyone is so friendly, and the environment is low-pressure. This was the third Subaru dealer that I had visited, and they were by far the friendliest and most understanding of my situation. Worst experience ever. Get there at 815 am and ask how long should it take for rear brake pads and a sensor and was told 1 1/2-2 hours so I went home and waited for a call. Finally call at 1245 and the service guy said the guy who's doing my car is on lunch but should be done within an hour so I get there at 215 only to be told it would be another hour. So if you have all day this is the place for you. And then when I go to pay didn't take my coupon so of course cashier says I can't do it here but you can save it for next time. It expires today as well as it being the last time they'll see me or my car there read more

When i was looking for a good deal on a trade in for my 2013 Subaru Legacy Premium 2.5i they gave me the best deal along with a good sticker price for a new 2016 Outback. I was thrilled, I worked with Jessie he was very helpful in finding out information even if he had to double check. They crunched so many numbers to get us the best price and I am beyond happy with my outback. I even got a recall on the steering they were beyond pleasant in telling us to get a rental car and tow it to dealership. I went with A&T this time instead of Glanzman Subaru because #1 they had a better deal and will be honest on giving you the best deal possible. #2 very helpful with wanting to learn about the car, for me since I am Subaru crazy I make sure i research for hours on end about all models! and lastly #3 they actually care which is surprising then most car companies. We bought our Outback from this dealership and it's been downhill from the start. The service department has been pretty awful. From forgetting that we made an appointment for service to losing records on prior service to charging us for services we didn't approve oto being rude to my wife and the list goes on, but the nail in the coffin comes from our most recent trip. We decided to bite the bullet and have the $800 60,000 mile service done and ended up spending close to $1,500 in total after replacing brakes all the way around on the car when all was said and done. That's quite a lot of money to spend on service so we were expecting to be treated a little better than we were. When we arrived to pick up our car a gentleman told us that he'd pull our car around to the side of the showroom but we had to drive the loaner vehicle over to it ourselves. While that may not seem like a big inconvenience it's a challenge when one of you is juggling a toddler and the other is paying the bill. Next we find out that the complimentary car wash wasn't done. Our car was finished by 9am that morning, they had all day to wash it and chose not to, regardless of the $1,500 we spent with them. When we asked the cashier why it wasn't done she said it depends on how cold it was. I don't see that as a good excuse because it was above freezing all day long and either way they should have contacted us at the very least to see when we would be picking up so that they could plan it accordingly. They also didn't give us a sticker for the oil change so we know when to return. It's simple things that get missed that leave big impressions. I don't feel important as a customer and I know plenty of other dealerships that would treat us better. We weren't happy then and we aren't happy now. The sales department is another story, our experience buying the car was less than pleasant and the only reason we bought it was because the owner and operator, Jeff Allen, personally reached out to me and offered to make things right, that's the only reason this isn't a one star review. Update 1-7-2019 My wife and I both received separate phone calls from the service manager John. He was very polite and professional and apologetic for what had happened. He apologized for what had happened and explained what had happened and even held a meeting for those involved. If we thought the service department was falling apart before, then Johns the glue holding it together. Johns has made many wrongs right for us and keeps us coming back. He went above and beyond what we expected to correct the issue, we'll definitely keep coming back so long as John is the service manager. read more

Went in to look for my own car and that day my boyfriend walked out with an impreza. It took all summer for me to get my things together to get a car and dave gorman was nothing but patient and extremely helpful. He returned all of my emails in a timely fashion all throughout summer. I bought a 2015 outback new, when i thought i was going for a used one. Turns out a new one is only about 1-2k more than a 2 year old used one with 20,000 miles on it. Generally, I don't like car dealership showrooms. That's why I communicated via email about a specific make/model. The salesperson understood this and was responsive, thorough and cooperative. We established a final price and arranged for a visit to review, test drive and, if everything was good, I would purchase the car. The salesperson was knowledgable, friendly and, most importantly, not pushy. This made all the difference. I purchased the car and, so far, I'm very happy. read more

A & T Subaru is the best dealership I have ever had a privilege of doing business with. I have bought two cars there myself. My wife has purchased a car there and my sister has as well. My uncle will be in the market for a Forester soon when he moves from California and this is where I'm taking him. The people are always friendly and helpful. The waiting area is modern and comfortable with all the comforts of home. You don't need appointments for oil changes or minor services. They give you free loaners or will pick you up and drop you off. Everyone, from management to service techs to the parts department makes it a point to know who you are. When I traded my Baja in... Everyone at A & T knew I was the customer that traded that car in. If you are looking to buy a Subaru... and you live within 200 miles of this dealership... it is worth the trip!! read more
