The people were all friendly and professional. Getting the appointment was relatively easy, though I did not know what to expect. I arrived about 15 minutes early for my 3:00pm appointment. At 3:00 I was escorted into the X-ray room where the tech took approximately 20 X-rays. (I didn't count them so it might have been a few more or less.) After the X-rays I was escorted into the exam room where I waited for 35 minutes until the dentist came in to begin the exam. We discussed my issues, two broken teeth, would require extraction and in addition there were two missing teeth that would either get a bridge or implants depending on my budget. In addition, he found several cavities that he said would require filling. After the exam I was taken to see the office manager. She presented me with 2 documents. Each included the total for option 1 and option 2. Option 1 was for the bridge and option 2 was for the implants. The documents were totals only and did not include any detail. I thanked her and head home. Upon reaching home I got my reading glasses and began to review the documents, and upon discovering the lack of detail I phoned the office manager to inquire so I could be sure that everything was covered. I was informed that until I sign the agreement to commence treatment I would not be able to see the detail. I was a little confused so I asked again to be sure I understood. "You mean I cannot know what I am agreeing to until I have signed the document indicating my agreement?" The answer was "Yes." Needless to say, that does not seem right to me. I was not allowed to review all of the items we discussed. It also seems wrong to me that a cleaning would be required before any treatment would begin. Same can be said for the X-rays. Since I had not agreed to service why were X-rays so critical. The bottom line was a cost of over $13,000 for bridge work and over $16,000 for implants. With no way of knowing what other incremental costs would be involved I cannot in good conscience return for any dental work. Caveat Emptor!

This being my only day off and being in pain for several days already waiting on this appointment I had to find an emergency dentist to take me in. I felt that this was a bit exorbitant but continued with the process as I trust my regular Dr's opinion. I went back about a month later, ready to pay roughly $700 for a process that they said should take about 30 minutes, again, feeling that this was a bit pricey, but had cash, credit card & a check in hand ready for which ever payment method they preferred. I was asked to pay the entire amount the moment I checked in. I explained that I would be happy to pay when services were rendered but that I don't pre-pay for services. They refused to perform the services at this point, and so I left. I took two days off from work for these two trips. I paid the ridiculous consultation fee. I live about an hour away from this business and so also lost 4 hours in driving time, not to mention the gas money. I am extremely disappointed in this businesses practices. They tried to tell me that I signed something during the consultation that said that they ask for pre-payments for these procedures. I have absolutely no recollection of signing anything or hearing anything like this. I was not asked to pre-pay for the consultation, I paid as soon as it was over before exiting the building. If I had known that this is how they run their business, I would have never even called them. I am not aware of any other dental businesses that operates in this manner. I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. I would have given them 0 stars if it was an option.

I have been a patient with Dr. Callaway since I was a child... Recently I found out I have a bad…read morenerve in one of my molars and an infection at the root. I was given antibiotics and told that that would help with my pain. I am yet to find any relief... I have been dealing with this pain since early January and cannot get in to an oral surgeon to have it pulled until April. At this point my pain is constant and very severe. It is affecting my life and my work because I cannot function well right now while I am in so much pain. Despite all of this the Doctor refused to give me pain meds due to "protocol". I was just repeatedly told "take ibuprofen or tylenol" and that it is "protocol" to not prescribe pain meds for an extraction patient. This is completely unacceptable. I hope Doctor Callaway knows he has lost a lifelong patient and he should be ashamed he turned his back on me when I needed his care the most! I will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General. I will also be letting others know about this callous treatment when they ask about dental recommendations.

Of course, I usually only see Dr. Watts for about four minutes per visit as I spend most of the time with the hygienist. Surely this is typical for most customers. The staff is super friendly, efficient, helpful and accommodating. I have never had any billing issues. They accommodate my schedule just fine but I tend to schedule six months in advance. Great parking and a nice magazine selection. Very happy with Dr. Watts and his team. Update: I had to get a chip in a molar filled (Sept. 2019) and I couldn't believe how pain-free Dr. Watts made it happen. Hats off, Doc.
