He also got caught double charging a friend of mine. Meaning he got most of it paid through insurance and then tried to get the SAME amount of money from the patient. Last time I checked that was against the law. Speaking of the law. I was also told me has many many lawsuits pending against him and his practice.

My spouse's boss recommended to me Dr. Carter and I called at around 4:00PM on a Thursday and the admin that answered the phone said she would ask the staff to stick around as they were all about to leave for a conference to Chicago. I made the five minute drive from downtown and was treated with the best care with an amazing staff. All of them! The admin talked them into staying, the dental assistants and team did not treat me like a burden and was very kind an empathetic towards me. They created a temporary crown for me and scheduled an appointment for me faster than my previous dentist could even see me! I expected a monster bill for the emergency services but wasn't given any additional up charge for the short notice. The rest of my family now sees Dr. Beth and the rest of the staff. They are fantastic with kids as well as adults. It sounds crazy but now I look FORWARD to my visits with Dr. Beth and Shannon. I never received a bill from them saying I owed anything. Then, five months later, I received an overdue bill stating I needed to pay $xxx.xx in 14 days to avoid being sent to collections. I called them one day later and was told it had already been sent to collections. The only "apology" I received was, "Well, I guess our system sent it a little early (ha ha ha)." You will have to contact the collection company about that. Also, since your account was sent to collections, you are no longer eligible for our services. Are there any other concerns you would like to discuss about any other patient? Being laughed at because their system wasn't working correctly, and then instead of trying to work with me, just saying I'm no longer a patient and asking if I want to discuss any other patients, is a rude and unprofessional way to do business. To top it all off, when I asked for my records, they refused. They said that all patient records are their property and cannot be removed or copied from the facility. They are the patient's property, not the business's.
