This place is such a gem. I enjoyed their ruben special. The generous portion of quality corned beef was outstanding! Not too salty or fatty. My friends enjoyed burgers and were surprised some delicious hush puppies were included with their side of fries. Thumbs up on the aoli sauce. The classic 80s record album on the ceiling brought back pleasant memories. They definitely could be featured in the TV show, Dives, Dinner's and Drive Inns. The atmosphere here is a collision of construction meets 70's Rock n Roll diner. A little bit of a joke there as the outside is undergoing a remodel. This is the type of place were you order and pay at the counter and they give you a number and bring the food out to you. Think Culvers if you have been there. I ordered the Cherry Bomb Burger ($17). This is a 1/2 lb cherry burger with bacon, cherry jam, raclette cheese, and aioli. This was an excellent burger. The cherry flavor is not a. overwhelming cherry flavor, more of a side note. You can still taste the quality meat that was cooked perfectly. I upgraded ($5) to the Onion Ring combo. The onions were large and thick with a nice coating on them. Nice and crunchy and very tasty. The service was a mixed bag. The 1st interaction was okay. A little lackluster in the energy. I forgot my coat and I came back n to grab it. It was set by the counter waiting for me. Since I was there I was going to order a shake. However the attendant was too busy having a conversation in the back to serve a customer. Overall a solid 4 star review. Bacon Raclette slider, lettuce wrapped, w/zucchini fries combo, ordered medium rare and served medium rare! Nice! Good flavor. Cherry Bomb slider w/fries - didn't taste the cherry at all...maybe it was missing? Other than that, good flavor, the Raclette gave it a nice earthy flavor. Big Great Northern - ordered medium rare and came out rarer than expected, probably because it was the big 1/2 lb size and these babies are thick! It was alright. The consensus at the table was that it feels too expensive for what you get, but we're also from Los Angeles where even crappy burgers start at $15. This was at least a quality burger with a quality cook. All burgers come with hush puppies, but for some reason the lettuce wrapped one didn't maybe because I ordered it lettuce wrap and, they thought I was trying to avoid all bread. Just something to keep in mind, of you order it that way. The 50s theme was cute and the seating was plentiful and comfortable. Good strong AC, easy location, very kind & knowledgeable staff. They checked on us often, which was nice as I didn't expect table service here, since it's an order at the register place. Stopped into Bergstrom's today, to get onebof their famous Lobster Rolls, and Hush Puppies. Sooo good! Hubby isnt a seafood fan, so he indulged in a Bacon Raclette Burger. Never dissapoints. They were slammed at prime lunch time. But, staff was cheerful and hustling. Service was surprising fast for as busy as it was, and Lobster Roll take out orders. My wife, sister-in-law and I were fortunate enough to sample the pulled pork chef Tim was working on, as we happened to be in a booth enjoying our lunch and Tim stopped by and offered a taste: amazing! The pork melts in your mouth (so tender!) and is seasoned to perfection! Our lunch was extraordinary! It was our first visit and it will NOT be the last. Omg so salty and greasy!! I had a bacon and cheese slider and the first one I got was inedible from salt! Second one came after complaining, not as salty but very greasy. $10 for a tiny slider that was obviously made from cheap ground beef. Joe had a cheesesteak sandwich that was also greasy but ok, fries had big flakes of salt that he was wiping off. No refills on drinks and the food is so salty? Makes me think it's intentional. Bergstrom's came highly recommended and I can absolutely see why! At first impression, the place is decorated very cute. It had an old 50's diner feel. The ceiling, however, featured a cool collection of 70's and 80's albums. A bit of a mismatch, but still enjoyable. The owner came and chatted with us a bit. He was very nice and seemed proud f his place and collection. Wanted to make sure we were enjoying our food. I got the zucchini planks and hush puppies alongside my burger. I don't really like hush puppies but I ate all of these. Delicious, moist, flavorful. The zucchini planks were perfect. My crabby patty slider was dressed well with a tangy sauce. Then the 1/2 pounder is for you, otherwise the sliders will fill up the average person nicely and the different flavors are unbelievably delicious. We had the bacon raclette (think white cheddar) and the great northern sliders. The fries are fresh cut dbl fried beauteous crispiness of the Idaho persuasion, and you can get sides of ranch, ketchup, or malt vinegar. The Jamaican Jerk wings were also amazing. Great service and a retro-diner interior that has 80s records with their covers and old movie posters on the ceiling. The owner Tim came out to check on us, and showed us the We Are The World music sheet signed by some of the artists. Tim is a beautiful person whose business deserves recognition. It was clean and bright with 5 people working during a midday weekend afternoon-3 cooks and two cashiers up front...but it wasn't very busy. Maybe we were pre-rush? They have two size options for their burgers, a slider which was around 1/3 pound and a full size burger which may have been a double patty. Both were pricey . When it was all said and done I walked out paying nearly $50 for a full size burger, some fries, a slider, two sodas and a six piece smoked bone-in wing. The meat of the burger was overly salty, and the fries were kind of limp. The "Rum Reduction" on the wings needed to be reduced more but the smoke flavor and the wings themselves were pretty good. This place is amazing. A true culinary genius, Tim Bergstrom, is chef and owner of the food truck from heaven that sits in the Menards parking lot. I've heard rumors that this place had the best burgers in town, so I had to check it out. The menu is short but sweet. A few unique burger options, crabby patties...yes, freakin crabby patties, fries (both sweet and regular), onion rings and fried zucchini. We decided to go with the Bergstrom burger (1/3lb fresh ground beef on a brioche bun with raclette, yes ladies and gentlemen, ra-freakin-clette, and a killer aioli), the cherry bomb slider (bacon, cherry bacon shallot jam!!!!! and raclette. We also decided to try the crabby patty, because, why the hell not, am I right?!? Plus we got fries and fried zucchini. Tim's wife greeted us with a kind and warm welcome. Then the food can out. A beautifully cooked med rare burger! Absolutely delicious! The cherry bomb slider was magic in my mouth. The fries were on point and the fried zucchini was fresh cut and fried to ultimate crispy perfection!!! The crabby patty guys this thing is amazing! It is soft and tender crab cake goodness enveloped in an again, perfectly fried patty. Topped with the sun dried tomato aioli and served on a brooch bun! Damn freakin delicious!!!
