I liked how small the classes were and everything felt very personal and intimate. The teachers cared a lot about the students, and we went on fun school trips. The academics were somewhat challenging, but not unrealistic. We had a dance or two, wish we had more. But a lot of the kids weren't into that kind of stuff. Small, cute, hippy, crunchy/granola type school. The social scene at this school was okay. I didn't make a ton of new friends, but there were some nice kids there. The only bad thing was that a girl from the middle school decided to transfer here the same time I did, and then when we both graduated from this school (only goes until 8th grade), she followed me to the high school. Obviously this wasn't the school's fault, but that is a bad memory I have there.

My daughter…read moresigned up for the summer 8 week program and at her 3rd week class she does not want to go back and I do not blame her one bit. I actually am proud of her that she recognized at a young age that she was not having fun and she did not feel good about herself while she was there. She said those exact words when we got home from her class. She is the type of child that is a little timid with new things. That being said she has never done gymnastics before. I was very disheartened and disgusted when my daughter got out of the class at the end and looked at me while having the complete confidence wiped from her face. she had been doing so well but unfortunately not good enough to get a sticker. A sticker! The instructor handed out prizes to the kids that won a contest while they were being instructed in the class as well as a sticker if they passed a level. Well that particular day she didn't pass a level so no sticker or no toy. I was so disgusted , I couldn't help but have a conversation with the owner. The owner made it very clear that all he cared about was being the best for competitions and didn't care one bit about the level of discouragement and disappointment my daughter had after giving it her all after an hour an half. If you want to go somewhere cut throat at 5 or 6 year to compete in the Olympics certainly go here. But if your looking for your child to actually enjoy it and gain the confidence that comes along with it in a way where they feel confident in themselves then do not go here!!

Route 2 goes right into the middle of campus where you can see a delightful range of classic New England architectural styles in a rural setting with peaceful views of the surrounding mountains. First, the mid-morning information session was well-organized with a senior associate director (who was a Williams alumna) and rising sophomore from Seattle. Second, we did the 45 minute walking campus tour with a junior from Philadelphia who was refreshingly honest about her experiences. In contrast to Amherst College (which we visited the day before), Williams had a more organized and polished information session. One could see personal and specific examples of various Williams alumni being proactive in helping current students. Finally, the campus did not impose a KN-95 mask requirement. Overall, it's a lovely campus that is worth a stop if you're in this neck of the woods in the northern Berkshires!

Wow! What a gem of a place to have arts and crafts! I love the program here, and I wish I had found…read moreout about it much sooner. They offer a lot of classes, from small children to adults! The staff are all incredibly friendly, and they are very flexible in accommodating to your needs. I took a pottery class for three weeks, and I had a blast! It was incredibly fun, and the instructor was super awesome! I really loved it. I wish I had more time to work with the instructors, but my schedule did not allow. Love the friendly atmosphere, and I got to meet so many creative people while practicing during the open studio hours. I do wish they had longer hours so it was more convenient for me schedule, but I understand this was mainly fitted around school-going children. They have a lot of cool workshops for kids, and the instructors are all very amazing from the art that I see the kids produce. There are so many different things they offer! They also allow adults a lot of resources and space to exercise their own creative projects, which I think is excellent. Everything is pretty reasonable, too! I definitely I wish I had found this place sooner! Their mascot cat is also incredibly friendly, and I adore her!
