Not the kind of place I'd do my regular grocery shopping if I was local, but these small supermarkets are important to their communities. I wish my local small market hadn't closed up two years ago in my little town, it makes shopping a bit more of a challenge now. Again, as others have stated, prices are slightly higher than your larger retailers. But this store offers some unique items, the deli is outstanding, and the fried chicken is excellent. I also got a couple of bouquets of fresh flowers and the single genius flower bunches were beautiful but I wanted a premade bouquet and the selections of premades were all starting to look a bit wilty sadly; maybe time for a sale to clear them out. This grocery store is very clean and nicely stocked. There were some ladies promotion vegan meat and they were offering samples but all the different departments had their own fair share of nice tempting goodies. It was packed and parking was tough but they are calling for some decent snow tomorrow (up to 18") so that didn't help the weekend rush. A nice grocery store that our family that lives here are regular and we frequents when we visit.

Cashier staff is awful, great management but I have had cashiers yell at me because I was handing a…read morereusable bag to a bagger who was "busy". Apparently I needed to wait for her to ask me for it. Last week we had to get a manager because a card reader was broken (has been for about a year I forgot and went to the wrong lane) and the cashier was angry because she couldn't read my card to enter it by hand. Groceries are overpriced and rewards non existent. Sale items often ring at regular price and the parking lot is a nightmare. The only thing worth coming here for is the floral department. I will go to the Newtown or Danbury locations in future.

The customer service woman has no customer service skills whatsoever. She is rude and cold and looks at you like you are a piece of dirt when you make a mistake at the self checkout isle when she tried to help me today she was condescending and said "I told you blah blah blah". I will not stand for that behavior. I will not put up with anyone being rude to me for no reason, because common courtesy and warmth to me is something that I practice every day. And when you are in the service industry you should know to practice that every day. Shame on the people that have this woman still working there and not taking her to the side and explaining how to practice good customer service. Part of my going into a business is the whole experience. And this experience is not a good one.

Everything was super fresh, organic and delicious. And the service was not only friendly and attentive, it was super relaxed... while I like Ridgefield there is this overlying social tension everywhere that results in a sort of frosty service in some of the businesses. And hey I get it if I had to provide service to uptight, image conscious, egotistical patrons every day I'd probably end up the same way!
