YOU WILL REGRET GOING HERE~~~~~~unless you want to feel like you are at a cattle call , unless you like to feel undermined and have the experience of being in an overwhelmingly Loud seedy basement club with flashy lights and glares.......... this is your place !!!!!!! Long story short: spoke to management they gave me the assurance to come in and exchange I show up and no one knows who i am or what they are supposed to be doing They proceed to ask me every single question i ALREADY gave the answers to.... Manager is CLUELESS!!!!!!! (even though i was told i could go to ANYONE in the store and that they were all aware of my situation- clearly not true!) - i asked THREEE times WHO do i talk to- EVERYTIME THE ANSWER WAS ANYONE... WELL THAT WAS NOT FUCKING TRUE!!!!! AT ALL!!!!!!!! I leave without being helped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WASTED more than 80 minutes of my life and time - plus a sensory overload i had to deal with the rest of the day ;.......... Long Version: I attempted to rectify this with management TWO WEEKS before going to the store. I sent photos and gave information. I was assured my exchange would be easy - they assured me that my situation was communicated to the proper people and that i could just come in and get an exchange. I EVEN alerted them the day I was arriving and they affirmed i was good to go This is important for me because I was coordinating rides and As someone who suffers from sensory processing issues they play super loud club music and with all the plexiglass there are light glares everywhere which hurt my eyes. PLUS.... its not a feel good environment The black walls are uninviting and i feel like i'm in a dirty sleezy night club THIS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE I WANTED TO SPEND AS LITTLE TIME IN THE STORE AS POSSIBLE (personal and pandemic reasons) --- which ultimately.... DID NOT HAPPEN but not because of my lack of effort because BERKSHIRE ROOTS DROPPED THE BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The middle aged lady with wrinkles and brown fringe who wore lots of bracelets was extremely dismissive, extremely rude, condescending, Uninviting, and the needs a real lesson on EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE- DO NOT GO TO HER!!!!!! NO COMPASSION not even an attempt to connect as a human - she told me to go wait over by the tvs and flapped her hand like she was shooing me away....... and just stood there with a scowl and crossed arms when I didnt leave. why do i want to stand by a TV screen with flashy lights ?!?!? u said it would only be minute?!?!!? CLEARLY THATS NOT TRUE EITHER!!!!!!!!!! The supposed manager on duty was even more clueless, His frantic energy made me more anxious than the loud obnoxious music. There was a tall tubby guy who stopped by and another shorter dude with a hat - WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC- and i had at least FIVE DIFFERENT PEOPLE come by asking questions and giving me the runaround. THIS IS WHY I COMMUNICATED BEFORE HAND!!!!!!! everyone i encountered was like a lifeless robot who didnt care about the person (me) standing in front of them- They had no idea about my experience nor did they care or even try to understand - no empathy- they were too busy running around like chickens with no heads coming back multiple times with multiple people asking the same questions and telling me it will be just a couple minutes when really it was MUCHHHH LONGER! I thought retail was CUSTOMER FIRST ..... i felt like the last thing they fucking cared about .... no one was trying to " take care of me" they were trying to "Deal" with me as if i was wasting THEIR TIME.... ... and their words actions and mannerisms made that very clear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am in disbelief that anyone can complain about a dispensary that legally sells cannabis! I reside in England much of the year where medical marijuana is only just available to extreme medical cases. It is still illegal for recreational use. I am really surprised that anyone could negative things to say about this place. Persons like myself never dreamt this day would come when we could buy cannabis legally in MA. I am eternally grateful to all the persons involved in setting this place up. They are growing lovely plants organically, so it is way better for everyone's health. I am a horticulturist and am impressed with their set up and so far the quality of the buds seems excellent. 1st time here and the staff was super helpful and patient for this newcomer asking a million questions. The line outside was very long the first day and we were baking in the sun (once we got up to the front it was covered), but that's not the fault of the staff there - maybe adding another tent would help as well. It was a weekend, so the line was expected. The second visit, we were in much faster with less of a line and we were lucky to have the same super helpful salesman walk us through some products (don't know his name, but big black beard). We also went to another dispensary the same weekend and walked right out. Berkshire Roots just had a better vibe, better product and better setup. 10/10 would go back again. read more

The place is amazing. I am a medical patient and have only gone here since I got my medical license. Huge selection of flower. PRJ's, concentrates, and other stuff. The point system is really cool, I've been able to use them to buy an 1/8 for $1!! Everyone that works there seems to genuinely care about your needs. Not to mention the girl with the curly hair and tribal tattoos on her fingers is gorgeous!! But back to the products... they also have the best CBD rich products I've ever had anywhere. I've been a patient since BR opened. I went Saturday expecting to have a long wait in line. I actually didn't - it probably took a couple of extra minutes. Given the circumstances of opening day for rec I had low expectations. Other than a short wait and a few items missing from the menu(which they assured me would be temporary) it was same old - friendly, knowledgeable staff and good medicine. I find these other reviews to be totally misleading and false, which doesn't do anybody any good. read more

I don't understand why all the negativity. They had a tough transition due to the state jerking them around on compliance issues beyond their control. When i was there today, they had 3 registers that are for medical patients only, and no lines and are selling at least 10 strains and tons of concentrates and edibles to med patients today. 10 strains is more than most MA med dispensaries, and they grow and make all their own stuff.
