I booked a pedicure with Selena, I was in desperate need of a pedicure but also needed my nails done. I didn't book that appointment because I had hard gel and wasn't sure she could do them. I asked Selena if she had a solution & she said I could do fiber gel and she fixed me right up!! I was so happy I was able to get both hands & feet done at the same time. My nails look so beautiful and she did such a great job!! She was gentle and took her time, she's super sweet too!! The salon is very nice with a friendly vibe. Being fairly new to the Tulsa area, I was in search of a new hair stylist! As others have experienced, changing salons can be difficult after being with the same stylist for many years. Berkshire Salon was introduced to me by referral. Upon my first visit today, I decided to begin with a haircut and a feel for the atmosphere. My stylist, Katie Henry, was super friendly and she did a great job! The salon was very clean and well-stocked with styling products such as Bumble! They offer salon services including hair, nails, and massage. It's not the least expensive place to go, but I was satisfied with the service provided. My haircut was 65.+ t & t. They have a tier system of service fees based on the stylists experience. And from what Katie indicated, they have several long term stylist. You're also required to have a credit card on file prior to your appt. In turn, if you don't provide proper notice of cancellation or rescheduling, you will be assessed 50% of the cost of the service. This review is only for the nails part of the salon. I really wanted to give Berkshire a good review because the girls are really nice, but I just can't. Each appointment the nail tech was more than 5 minutes late taking me back into the nail room, which is small and cramped. Nothing they can do about it, but being late to an appointment consistently sets the tone for how professional the salon is, not just for the tech. I got a dip powder on July 3rd and what I was wanting was nail art on two fingers and an ombré color overall. I was told by the tech she didn't do nail art whatsoever (even though I had called prior and the receptionist confirmed they did nail art within their studio). The nails were really cute though once finished, but they lasted only a week before one cracked and broke off. I paid $50 for nails to last a week? No thanks. I called the next day and they were able to get me in to do a refill fairly quickly, however several other nails looked like they were going to fall off as well, so I requested a simple manicure. The color looks great on my skin tone, but there are several places where the polish is uneven and where my nail shows through. For $50, you can go to a different salon in Tulsa or Broken Arrow and spend half the price for better quality. read more

I had been a loyal customer of the salon for many years under the former ownership. So when I moved back to town after being gone for 2 years, going back was a high priority for me. I was very disappointed in the products offered and overwhelmed by the price. My regular service had increased more than $60 (which means a higher price than a large metropolitan city) and they use products you can buy at any large chain store. They've "Corproate-tized" this former wonderful salon in a beautiful small town with extensive new client paperwork, upfront credit card information to book an appointment and switched from premier salon products to commonly available brands. There are various price levels for hair service depending on the experience of your technician. 2. Margarita is the best for nails. She is fabulous at nail art. 3. Full disclosure: my best friend's girlfriend is a massage therapist at this spa. Regardless of that I'm committed to making these reviews genuine and without bias. That being said, my wife says that she got excellent service here. She got a 90-minute Ashiatsu massage from Carolyn Smith for only $45 excluding tip - a special rate because of a promotion. (It's typically twice that.) Ashiatsu is where the masseuse uses her body weight to provide deep tissue massage with her bare feet. A horizontal bar on the ceiling over the table helps her keep her balance. Now, my wife does not like feet so she was going out on a limb with this. I'll let her text to me once she was done do the talking for me; she said, "that was so amazing I could kiss her." read more

I have naturally curly hair and was told by previous salon that I would need to see a deva curl specialist to get a hair cut when I've had my hair cut for years and never heard such a thing especially since I wear my hair straight 10 months out of a year . First time there, went to Jule for a color and cut. My hair color wasn't at all what I wanted. It wasn't ugly, just not what I wanted. She redid me a couple days later for free and oh my goodness! I received a gift certificate from this salon & spa for Christmas (a bikini wax) last year from my sister who has nothing but great things to say about her experiences there. I cannot say the same. I made my appointment on a Monday hoping for a Friday or Saturday slot, but the only time available was Thursday at 6:15 pm. I had a hard time finding the location, because it is in an office park and the sign isn't huge, but that wasn't really a problem, just a little annoying. I was greeted promptly and taken to the room almost immediately. My esthetician was friendly and chatted with me and I felt very comfortable. The fun stops there. Granted, this was my first experience with a bikini wax, but I did my research beforehand. I cannot begin to describe the pain. I have twins, I'm not a pansy, this was worse times 1000. She told me my hair was the perfect length and it should go quickly. 35-40 minutes later she was about 1/4 of the way through and I was pouring sweat, shaking and miserable. Several times I asked her how far along she was, how much longer, etc. and each time she said "aaalmost done"! I'm not an idiot, I know what a brazilian bikini wax involves and I knew she wasn't near done. The part that really gets me is that she told me repeatedly that it didn't hurt much, it would only hurt for a minute, blah blah and when I asked her if she waxed she told me no, she had a bad experience in beauty school and never did it again!! I eventually told her I couldn't stand anymore and I needed to leave. She seemed super relieved and basically ran out of the room. When I went to the register to pay she said she would only charge me for a bikini wax vs. a brazilian since she didn't finish. Being that I never intended to step foot in that establishment again I asked if the rest could just be given to her as a tip. I wasn't pleased with the service but wanted to leave as soon as possible so I could weep freely. Instead of telling me that was a 25-30 dollar tip they simply said "Sure". Had I realized that I would have gotten another gift certificate to give my sister. I may just be a big weenie and it may have been a perfectly normal experience but I highly doubt it. I talked to multiple people and I just can't imagine anyone does what I did voluntarily. Overall I am giving 3 stars to this spa because I haven't ever received a haircut, mani/pedi, massage etc. The waiting room and waxing room were clean if not super relaxing, the receptionist was mostly friendly but I felt my waxer was inexperienced and allowed me to give her an almost 50% tip was tacky and unprofessional. read more

I received a one hour facial from Morgan and it was by far the most AMAZING facial I've ever had. Their spa is very relaxing. The first thing she had me do was rest in the steam room for a bit and then took me back. You get the full spa experience and she is very knowledgeable. I booked 2, 90 minutes massages and 2 facials for my husband and I almost a week in advance. The person I spoke with specified that one of us would have a male therapist and one would have a woman therapist so I know she made the appointment. We booked two nights hotel and drove in from Dallas for a spring break vacation while our kids were at their grandparents'. As we drove into Tulsa, someone from the spa called to confirm our appointments and told me she only had one massage scheduled. She admitted it was their fault and would see what she could do? She called back and offered us two, 30 minutes massages back to back in place of the 90. I told them we drove to town just for this spa day and they needed to cancel the appointments that got booked in our spots but she wouldn't do it. We ended up canceling the appointments and went to the spa at the Marriott. It was lovely. read more

Blair is my hair stylist, she is AMAZING! I only get my hair cut no color, however her specialty is cuts and color. I have no doubt she is amazing at color as well. The place is very clean, well organized and staff is extremely friendly! Its more high end but they treat everyone that walks very genuine and nice. They always offer a beverage when you arrive, while shampooing you get a scalp massage. Its just a great place and very relaxing. Really do love the place. I don't often treat myself to something super nice, but when I do this is always one of my options. I've gotten massages and a manicure there, and my family uses the salon services regularly. The space is always clean and very relaxing, and I love having drink options. All of the massage therapists that have worked on me have been wonderful, and they're very knowledgeable as well. I typically leave feeling more relaxed then when I came in. I highly recommend them to anyone, especially if you want a massage. read more

Definitely less than average hair cut. First thing I explained was that I would like for her to thin out my hair a bit (I have tons!!!) and give a fresh hair cut/style but after blow drying it she say if she thinned it, it would mess with the cut. This was my second time there, went back due to great experience the first time, will not be back after seeing this different stylist. Worst experience ever ! I have never written a bad review but y'all really deserve it .. I paid $492 for the worst spa day ever! Our makeup was the worst part!! We looked like we should be in a casket! Such a shame y'all are ripping people off . $47 for a pedicure that was not even as good as a $22 pedi ...massage was at most 45 min . Paid for 60 min. I almost forgot I got a follow up call to make sure everything went well and I said oh wait a minute it wasn't well it was the biggest rip off ever! The service was not worthy of the prices. I proceeded to tell her we looked like a mortician did our make up !! She said ok have a good day and hung up ! This was your opportunity to offer to speak with the manager or something besides just hanging up! What kind of Spa does this? Completely unsatisfactory! No attempt to make it right . No concern. Had a relaxation 60 minute massage with Rebecca O. This was the best massage I have ever had. Salon was extremely clean, steam room could have been a little hotter. Showers very clean.
