We were traveling through the area and our truck needed an oil change. Berlin City was very convenient but we were leery due to all the negative reviews. I'm glad we decided to give them a try. Our appointment was scheduled for the same day we called and everything went smoothly. The shop employees were polite and efficient. We walked around the car lots while we were waiting. A salesman (I don't remember his name) approached and was very helpful even after we told him that we were from Ohio and definitely wouldn't be purchasing a new vehicle in New Hampshire. The past 12 years or so I have been buying from Berlin City. I have had my vehicle service at Berlin City. The last time they replaced the fuel filters they tightened the filter so tight that it could not be removed without damaging it. The repair cost over $1,300. I sent a message to Berlin City that they should pay for the repair since the caused it. It was repaired and replaced at Orange Coast Chrysler Dodge in Costa Mesa, CA. They did a great job. Berlin city never contacted me to say whether they would pay for it or not. This service is unacceptable and we will not be any vehicles from Berlin City in the future. There is no rating low enough for this place. I am a single older woman who depends on the mechanics to ensure safety on my vehicle as my job requires me to transport many little children. I do a lot of driving . Knowing this I ensure my vehicle maintenance is kept up all the time. When I bought my car there I felt like I was getting that peace of mind and Would not have to worry about my mode of transportation. Everyone at work told me this was a mistake but I still did it. this past week I sent it for its regular maintenance and was told that their multi point inspection showed it was in great shape. i drove 5 miles home parked it and got up the next mornIng and the check engine light was on. Brought it back to them as I was concerned about this considering they had just checked it. Was told I had to wait 2 weeks for them to look at it. Took it to an auto parts store and in 5 min they said it was the battery. Berlin city said they would have a battery in a week and it will be fine for a week. Well the next day it didn't even start. So I went somewhere else to get a battery installed. All I kept thinking is with my schedule this could have easily happened far away from home. this is not the first issue I have had when it comes to getting timely service. But it is the last. i will be going down the road of my coworkers for my next car and employing a new mechanic. I am sure this will be a relief to Berlin city as clearly they need to get less customers so they can accommodate the ones they have.i read more

I stopped in on a Saturday and was given a number, they checked my credit and said it was great (and I know they did cause I got a notification). Vehicle was coming from another dealership. Arrangements were made to come in on the following Monday and sign everything. I was told the numbers would NOT be different. Get a call on Monday that my credit score is 100 points lower than what it really is with all 3 bureaus, so my monthly payments would be $50 more than the deal. NOPE! Should've known better than to go there! Can't even give locals a deal and wonder why we don't shop local....duh! read more

I went to get my Honda inspected this week. The issue I previously had with my steering rack have shown up again at a different repair shop. My car failed inspection because of something that was wrong with it in January. I worked with Jeff S. previously and specifically asked him what I was supposed to do if my car failed another inspection. He assured me it would not, and if it did, I could call him up to have it taken care of. I called today and he no longer works there. I am now trying to get someone else to help me with little success. I am really hoping they work to resolve this, but until they do I am revising my review to reflect the lies that Jeff S. told me when I tried to get this repaired 6 months ago. read more

I also bought a used Nissan Murano from this dealership which had transmission problems 3 months later. The expensive extended warranties they offer are trash and won't cover anything. They charged me $500 after I was told it would be covered by extended warranty. I had to call my extended warranty and found out it wasn't covered. I drove the vehicle next door and bought a vehicle from Autonorth. I had to put that shitty cars difference onto my current vehicle thanks Berlin City. Why don't you actually fix the cars before selling them. Make sure you buy a new car since they're certified working from the factory. They're lucky they don't have any competition way up north cause this type of business mentality wouldn't fly anywhere else. Better yet just order your vehicle and have them deliver it on a truck you'll thank me later. Started a deal and it was as I was told a done deal. This was on a Monday . The next day I never here from anyone. Send email get reply salesperson didn't make it in and will have him get in touch first think on Wednesday. Still nothing on Wednesday. Send emails no replies. Then on Thursday get email from some new salesperson saying the other one quit. He's looking in to where the deal is at. Sends email asking all kinds of questions like we are starting whole process over. Send info and then he's never heard from again either. Contact a manager and nothing from him. Send a few more emails with no response. Don't waste your time here. They deff don't care about customers. read more

I bought a 2010 Subaru from Berlin City Auto Group in Vermont. They delivered the car with bald and cupped tires. Take it to the shop to find out the alignment was way off as well and the heater shields were loose and rattling. Berlin City covered those repairs. Then a week into owning it I discovered I was burning a quart and a half of oil a week with no leaks. Had to take it back to the shop to have the pvc valves replaced. Berlin City covered those repairs as well. Then several weeks later the passenger side window stopped working and two weeks after that I couldn't put the car in reverse (6 speed standard shift). A garage confirmed I had a bad transmission!! I talked to the service manager who said I exceeded there 2000 mile bumper to bumper warranty by 5000 miles. I argued they told me they did a 130 point inspection which they clearly didn't do!! I had multiple problems with the car from week one and then at 8 weeks I have to replace the transmission! The service manger said they went "above and beyond" what they should have to help me out and the transmission replacement is on me. I left multiple messages for the general manager and Vice President of operations with no returned calls... DO NOT GO HERE! By far the worst dealership I have ever been to. We called ahead to set up an appointment for 1:30pm so that we would not waste the day or the hour long drive to get snubbed upon arrival. Ron, on the phone was more than happy to help my wife and I out. Upon arrival we walked into the ford/mercury side of the building and continued all the way to the Honda building. Not one person acknowledged us. We stood in the center of the room waiting for somebody to greet us but nobody did which seemed odd because we could clearly see salesman joking with each other, wiping marks off tires with their fingers, texting on their phones, eating, etc. It was obvious they were bored or lazy and didnt want to help a customer out. After about 10 minutes of waiting we decided to go outside and shop by ourselves. After another 20 minutes outside we decided to go back inside and try to find Ron once again. We stood in the middle of the room contemplating leaving when Ron finally greeted us. He sat us down, took some info, and then told us "ill be right back guys, i have another couple who just got back from a test drive. Why dont you go outside and look at our selection?" Having already done that we waited. 15 minutes later, Ron came to us and said "I gave the paperwork our manager and he is going to try to work something out." So, we waited again as Ron sat behind us working with a walk-in for another half hour before we got fed up and found the manager working on out paperwork. Upon finding him we asked if he figured anything out and he said "Yeah we sure did. You have $5000 to put down I hope." We saw the paperwork and Ron had gone against everything we had told him at the desk we were at. We had told him "no money down, and a payment at 350ish." We left after seeing the paperwork and upon leaving we saw Ron on his phone laughing about something instead of helping us out. By far the worst car shopping experience I have ever endured. I would not recommend shopping or purchasing from Berlin City Auto Group. I am not sure why things went the way they did but I do not plan on ever going there ever again. Test drove a Ford F150 in October. Got in touch with salesperson in December to purchase. Traded in two vehicles with accurate information on mileage, usage, known issues, condition. Was offered $9K on trades. Negotiated deal. Was given $10K on trades. Took delivery of new truck on a Saturday night. Received call from Berlin City on Monday - "How do you like your new truck?". On Wednesday afternoon, received call from Sales Manager saying that trades are too low of a value, and to keep the truck we need to pay an additional $4,000. Our salesperson would not return our calls. Sales Manager says that 10% of their deals with trade-ins are adjusted after customer drives away with the new vehicle. NEVER was it disclosed that this MIGHT even happen. At 10% of their deals, they should absolutely disclose. We gave the new truck back, and got our trades back on Friday morning. Be very, very careful if you trade in at Berlin City. They made the deal EASY. Then it turned SLEAZY four days after buying the truck. Buyer Beware. read more

This is the 3rd vehicle (1 brand new, 2 used) that we bought from Berlin City and it will certainly be the last. They do not look over their used vehicles before putting them on the lot for sale, leaving the new owner with all the repairs. My husband and I bought a 2007 Dodge Truck from them and it was in their service department more than we drove it for the first 3 months that we had it. Their service department is horrible! Takes for ever to call you back if their is an issue. You literally have to jump through hoops to get them to fix your vehicle. When you finally get your vehicle back be prepared for something else to go wrong with it because their techs are so incompetent. Do yourself a favor and spear the heartache and go somewhere else to get a vehicle. read more

My family is looking for a 3rd car and we went here while we were at our condo just to look. There was a NEW 2014 Jeep Patrio, marked at $19,189. My parents though it was such a nice deal and we took it out for a test drive. After getting everyones hopes up we find out with all the mark downs its going to be almost $16,000. AMAZING DEAL for a NEW car. Come to find out it was marked wrong. The salesman was VERY nice. After speding an hour trying to figure everything out we find out its marked wrong. It's suppose to be almost $21,000. BIG difference for people looking for a third car and not a completely new car. The salesman told us that he would get to the bottom of this price situation and get back to us Monday morning by 8:30 with an answer. We got a call by 8:30 saying his manager wont honor the price that was on the car. Unfortuantly who ever marked the cars made the same mistake with all the 2014 Jeep Patriots. Even with that said to the manager he wouldnt honor the price. If you do go here make sure the price that is marked on the car is correct and not miss marked. read more
