I'm sure the one person who had a short, less than a day experience would not be able to speak of the quality of the teachers and program. Students may be Hispanic, but not all Hispanics learn Spanish at home. My English only boys have become fluent bi-literate speakers, readers, and writers. I'm proud to say that my kids go to Central Language Academy!!!

The events are always communicated to the parents the day of, the day before, or in cases like today, the day after. That's finally what prompted me to write a review. There's typos in the communications from teachers and staff alike. And for how unorganized and late their communications are you'd think they'd show some grace for the students, but of course, they don't. The proctors or whoever it is that stand outside during onsite events have attitudes every single time. Sometimes I'm walking straight towards a ramp and they wait till my foot is on the ramp to tell me I had to go around. Now, why would you do that unless you want to be rude ?? Common sense would tell you to let people know on their approach, "hi, welcome, you're going to enter on your left" or something to that effect. A few years ago when the new "management" came in my child was being picked up for a fall and the office staff started yelling at my child and had her finger in my child's face when I had to say something. If that's how they treat kids when a parent is around, imagine when they're alone?? I really miss the old principal. He was the complete opposite of current administration. PFO and all the activities are so dull and sad looking and I know it's because of the leadership and the people who make it so unpleasant. I have one child at another school in the area due to special needs and it's like night and day with Edison. I'm talking parades, backdrops, Christmas presentations with props, the whole nine yards. Can't wait to be done with this school in two years.

The Principal, Mr. Ramirez is the principal we like to see running a school. He is always around, either greeting kids, parents, helping out and his energy is so amazing!...The staff fall right behind him!...Teachers and staff are all around amazing people!..We have gone through some challanges with this covid pandemic but St. George's principal, teachers and staff have made this transition easy and less stressful. Previous to that class he was in Ms. pahias class. Ms. Middlebrook called CPS without investigating what she thought was abuse. I believe Ms. Middlebrook targeted my family because we're black. Imagine a CPS worker telling you to send pictures of you refrigerator, your child's bed, and show that you have electricity on.. (embarrassing right).. then imagine hearing that the very person who raised you your whole life is abusing your child from a worker that doesn't know anything about your life and is only going off an allegation. For parents who find their child in her class please be aware that she will take your child's words out of context and overly ask them questions, almost badgering or chastising the child (i've witness myself). It is already hard enough that we have to allow these strangers into our home virtually-- Privy to our privacy. But narrating a story that is completely false is disgusting and poses a threat to my family. In conclusion, I would like for Ms. Middlebrook to be educated on how to decipher and address non-existing issues so that a family will never be humiliated like this again.
