    Deductible policy
    Summer M.

I would not recommend this place to any future patients. I've never felt so rushed as a patient and I did not feel like my concerns were being listened to. In addition to that, their deductible policy is absurd (see attached photo). I had a surgery done here. For all procedures and surgeries I've had in my life, they have all provided me with proper information pre and post procedure, whether it be through a handout or a consultation. This institution is poorly lacking in patient education. It is so difficult to reach the doctors via the patient portal and get answers in a timely manner. After my procedure, they didn't send the prescription to the pharmacy until I followed up again several hours later. As a healthcare provider myself, I would not recommend any patients visit this institution.

The first picture is before i had went and got my 1ml of lip filler by PA c Phoung Nguyen, i scheduled my appointment the day before i went in and was pretty nervous because it was my first time in a drs setting without a parent. The team was so friendly and welcoming and made me feel very taken care of the whole time. She made sure i was ok every few pokes and when i was finished she showed me my side by sides and i almost cried. My lips look exactly how i wanted them and she definitely will be seeing me for more than just filler since she really does it all !!!

Their patient portal is handled by a third party that does not confirm with the actual office if a patient can make the appointment or not.

I've been seeing Dr. Cinque on and off for several years over various derm concerns; she's been such a fantastic doctor that I keep coming back to the Pleasanton office, even when I've moved all over the bay area. Out of several doctors I saw, she was able to identify a fragrance allergy that was causing dishydrosis and prescribed medications that effectively treated my psoriasis. I appreciate the wealth of knowledge and actual care that she provides as a doctor. Their offices boast quick appointments, unlike other specialists-- I've never had an issue booking appointments within a week. They even accept my insurance. Clinic is clean and quiet. My main issue is with their portal, MyPatientVisit. Several problems: - You have to register separately, on your own, in order to even use it in the first place. I didn't create an account for several years; who knows how many messages I lost in that void - Difficult to navigate; horrible UI. Wayyyyy more dated than other clinics I've been to - Limited functionality, can't upload complex documents/insurance situations; better to handle these in person - Their messenger is run by rather incompetent third party. WHO schedules BEFORE confirming with the patient that they can make it??? TWICE where I've request an earlier appointment over the patient portal, the admin schedules for the next day, in the MIDDLE of the day, without confirming with me over a call or email or anything. Today, I messaged them back with several hours notice to cancel the appointment, but later in the afternoon I receive a call from the office that I missed my appointment (it was never canceled). I learned from the front desk that the online portal is run by a third party and there is no formal way to submit feedback. I finally sent feedback directly to the admin, only to be met with a bit of attitude (attached below). While I understand the benefits of using scheduling blocks as placeholders, the time is wasted on both the provider's and patient's time if it's never communicated as a placeholder in the first place. I would expect timely communication at least. On top of that, they basically ignore any other questions outside of scheduling. You have to go in-office to get any questions answered. Unfortunately pretty unprofessional on the admin's end; I wish they would use a third party that has better customer service training.

Update on my previous review. I could not believe the amount of phone calls I got throughout the last couple of days. Not only I'm I now getting harassed by Dr.Chiang but also the Manager of the Pleasanton/Walnut Creek practice as well. Her name is Michelle and I can't believe the voicemail she left me. The fact that Michelle had to mention that she is upset in regard to my review is very unprofessional! How are you upset ? Excuse me ? I am the one UPSET not YOU! If anything you should be taking my review as constructive criticism for future or current patients! Next time try making it clear that you want to resolve the issue. You don't pick a fight, in fact you apologize for what went wrong! You can also appreciate me for sharing feedback towards your team. There are many ways you could have approached me or handled this but instead you guys lack practice in how to respond back to negative comments! Please do not contact me, learn from your mistakes!

I…read morecalled every day for a month to get off the wait list and her staff convinced me that as a "new patient" I couldn't take any of their cancellations because a "new patient" appointment is much longer." My daughter had a college game she was playing in and I had to drive to LA after the appt., and why I tired to get it moved. I have gone to the same dermatologist for 12 years and she no longer takes my insurance. My former MD would spend anywhere from 40-50 minutes at my annual exam and was very thorough, would discuss aging, sun risk, I am fair skinned, sunscreen use, etc. I waited almost one hour to be seen for my new patient appointment, and the TV said she was delayed 30 minute. I walked over to the counter to ask again and to reschedule (had to leave Dublin to get to LA by 5 for a game and now it was 12!), and then someone finally called my name. Then the kicker was after waiting 9 months and an hour at Dr. Danial's office/PMF, I think I was in the room for about 14 minutes, in the time she told me I needed a biopsy on a mole on my shoulder, and wanted me to do it on the spot, in spite of me telling them three times i was very late. I told her I would have to come back. **She refused to order me a prescription or transfer a prescription from my former dermatoligist for a much needed prescription and tried to tell me a lifelong condition she basically didn't believe me. At NO TIME did she ever ask me if I had ever had a skin biopsies, no family history, and no questions about how much time I spend in the sun, nothing about my vericose veins/spider veins that are prominent, my former Derm MD would go over these things annually. I need my spider veins treated and they told me to just make another appt, which only took almost a year. This was THE MOST RUSHED doctor appt I have ever experienced. I met with an endocrinologist as a new patient back in Oct and she spend an hour with me.

Then when the confirmation goes through, it lists only her PA. I kept the appointment as I thought (wrong) that at least the dermatologist, Minh Dang, would check in. No she did not. But I gave the PA a try and asked my questions for the scan. I felt overlooked on this matter as she right to wanting to do a punchy biopsy. Yet I still wanted to discuss overall skin issues like purposa. Skipped She did the biopsy. I did have a reaction and I didn't feel great how I was cared for. On my return after 14 days, the biopsy was fine. The PA spent some time with me but I didn't feel like I mattered. Her tech was there and they had a man. Prior it was a woman as the tech. I was in an open back robe due to the biopsy was on my back. It was a bit uncomfortable having a man esp as there were women techs. It was fine but again the care there was cold. And I felt like just a number since I wasn't there to do any subscription services on skincare. I felt that as the office feels like a cattle call as there's one dermatologist and there were 6-8 people in the waiting room when I left. I want to find a dermatologist who will give me care.

I'm a woman in my late 20s, and she was treating me like I was 12 years old. For example, I expressed my concerns about repeated ingrown hairs and subsequent infections, and she suggested laser hair removal. Great, except then I asked her where she recommended and conveniently she recommended herself, and was completely upselling me on the treatment. When I then proceeded to ask about the cost since this is not covered by insurance she told me "it's expensive, so maybe add it to your Christmas wishlist!", which I found extremely condescending considering I'm an adult who financially supports myself, and even so, my financial situation is not her concern. Then, on top of all that, her office gave me the incorrect information sheet on the laser. I also brought up concerns of dry skin under one of eyes, and she dismissed it as aging, when my other undereye was much less dry, and I told her I thought it was eczema since I have a history of eczema. I picked her because I saw she has good reviews, but I really don't know how that could possibly be.
