Tom's attempts at scapegoating others for HIS agency's negligence is appalling. In addition, Tom should not make offers of compensation when he has no intention of keeping his word - his failure to keep his commitment and then duck & doge my follow-up calls (that he now spins as harassment) is over the top. I was well within my right to alter MY vacation plans 2 days prior to departure (not 24 hrs as Tom indicates, a mistruth). The fact that I remained at the resort and used the resort's facilities are moot since I was SUPPOSED TO BE at the resort...such a comment by Tom is absurd and laughable. Resort personnel were gracious to make a room available when in fact they had no paperwork/reservation from Avenue Travel. Not only did Avenue Travel put me in an embarrassing position at the Resort, but my humiliation continued as I had to stop by the front desk for 3 consecutive days to inquire if Avenue Travel processed the reservation. Having to do this impacted 3 days of (what was supposed to be ) my relaxing 7 day vacation. Upon my return home, I contacted Tom. He was apologetic, committed to monetary compensation and provided his cell #. When he failed to follow-up with me, I placed calls to both Tom's office/agents and then his cell...interestingly, my calls and messages went unanswered until I placed calls to him from another number). Tom copped attitude, reneged on his offer of compensation using the excuse that I "didn't book a cruise through his agency several years ago"....as if that has any bearing on his commitment of compensation for the embarrassing position I was put into. One could argue that Tom seemed to be engaging in some vengeful tactic. Tom, as the owner of Avenue Travel, has taken no responsibility for his agency's mistake. If there was some accounting issue as he claims, that issue was at their feet, not mine. Moreover, I am not aware of 5 office staff involved in my reservation (and if there were, it goes to show his office's incompetency in needing that much staff to handle one reservation). I can understand oversights occurring; however, I expect that oversights are compensated for when a client's vacation is impacted. My choice of using Avenue Travel was clearly a mistake and it turned into one problem after another. Mr. Nero and his partner would surely benefit from a Customer Relations seminar, and sadly, he doesn't seem to comprehend that their customer's experience can be the best or worst advertising. Coincidentally, I sincerely question the positive reviews written after my initial post.

I used Air Express Limo and many times Patrick, the owner, was there in my driveway in the dark of the early morning, or at the airport to pick me up when I came back. It's years later and I do not travel for business anymore, but I was so very happy to hear Patrick's voice when I called to take my family into NYC for dinner and a show. He managed everything for me and the price was right. The driver was courteous and communicated by text to make sure he was where we needed him to be when it was time to leave NYC. I am glad Patrick is still there and will use Air Express again in the future. The professionalism of this company is top notch and there is no doubt in my mind that is due to the owner.

I was extremely anxious about the safety of this plan, as well as the reliability of the driver to make sure they found her as she was traveling some. The first woman I spoke with assured me that they e been in business many years and often transport children. This immediately put me at ease. When I called to book the trip a few weeks later, the gentleman I spoke with had heard about my call and reassured me that they had all necessary information. On the day of her pick up, I got an email that the car had arrived at the airport, another that they were on their way and a last one telling me that they had arrived. My daughter reported that the driver assisted her with her many bags and made her feel safe during her transport. As a mom who was far away (in N.C.), I was extremely relieved at how smoothly this went. I highly recommend this company and will use them again if needed.

My reservation was for 2pm. 2pm rolled around and the town car was nowhere to be seen. I decided to call their number to see what was up. The operator informed me that the driver thought my appointment was at 2:45pm and should be there in 2 minutes. Strike one. I waited and 2 minutes passed. Then it was 5 min, then 10 min, then 30 whole minutes. In total, I called them 3 times to complain why my town car was not there at the specified time, I was seriously cutting it close in getting it to the airport, and that this was totally unacceptable.The operator told me that the owner would be calling me to follow up in 2 minutes and apologize. In reality, I never got a call back. Finally at 2:35pm, the driver decided to show up. Instead of picking my parents up in front of my building, he asked if we could walk up one block, with our luggage, to meet him at the corner. Alright, now WTF is that all about. First you're almost 40 minutes late. Second, you can't even pick your passengers up at the stated location. The driver somehow managed to get my parents to EWR in 20 minutes from Midtown West, which is both incredible, and incredibly dangerous at the same time. CNH, you're a horrible company. Not only are you not professional, you charge an arm and a leg for this 1-star service. All I know is that I'll never be using you again, and no one I know will be either. Good riddance.
