This ice-cream shop is located a block from Chipotle and is a great addition to the area. It's…read moredefinitely a place you can easily walk to considering there are many apartments nearby and an area where many VCU students are seen. There is some off-street parking, but depending on when you go, it might be hard to find. There is a private parking lot across the street which would be ideal if they allowed us to park there. Maybe Bruster's can strike a deal. This place is set up for you to walk up to a window. It is very secured behind a glass. The menu is up top and you place your order and wait for your name to be called. There are some benches around the establishment to sit and enjoy your ice-cream. Let me say, the employees are all very nice. Good customer service. This was my first visit. The cashier was friendly. I ordered a banana split which comes with 3 scoops of ice-cream. I was able to change the usually vanilla, chocolate and strawberry scoop to a scoop of Gooey Birthday Cake, Mint Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. It also came with chocolate syrup, pineapples, strawberries, cherries, pretzel stick and whip cream. You can ask for caramel syrup and sprinkles too. On my first visit, I paid full price for the banana split. On my second visit, I came on a Thursday because if you bring a banana, the banana split is half price, so it's $5. It was delicious! The pics with the sprinkles is from my first visit. Definitely go check them out.

What a great experience and such a friendly staff! We love the upgrades, it's very family friendly…read more Super enjoyable atmosphere.

That employee also completely ignored me, despite the fact that I was clearly standing there waiting to be helped. I was there to pick up a DoorDash order for someone else, but based on the way I was treated, I can guarantee you I will not be choosing to spend my own money at this establishment. I ultimately had to ask another customer who was standing in line if they knew where to pick up a DoorDash order. The entire experience was incredibly dismissive and unprofessional. A simple acknowledgment or, at the very least, "We'll be with you in a moment" would have made a huge difference.

The ambiance was clean and orderly. Upon entering, you grab a serving tray lined with parchment and some tongs. The items are in a glass enclosed display that you have to open and place your selections on your tray for purchase. I settled on the pistachio cream filled pecan pastry, the almond twist, and strawberry shortcake. The beverage menu was extensive: matcha, flavored teas, cocoa, espresso/coffee, and more. We were greeted by pleasant staff at checkout and our orders placed in a parchment type bag for take out. They also have seating inside. The pastries were just sweet enough without being overly sweet, which I like. The pistachio cream was a perfect compliment to the pecan encrusted pastry. The almond twist was both flaky and crunchy with the sliced almonds on top, and the strawberry shortcake had layers of real strawberries, whipped topping and yellow cake that was moist. All were fresh. All in all, a great place to stop by for a morning pastry treat and tea/coffee while in the area,

The moment you walk in, you're greeted by display cases filled with beautifully presented baked goods. It's the kind of place where you want to grab a tray and try a little bit of everything. It's so open, vibrant and aesthetically stunning. I love the self serve option for pastries with importance places on sanitary practices. Each customer grabs their own set of tongs to get pastries and provide to staff upon checkout. I love their dedication to high quality cleanliness and sanitation standards. A definite plus! There are so many pastry options both sweet and savory. The presentation of treats is immaculate. It makes you want to try everything. I had to stop myself, haha! I ordered the Boba Brown Sugar Matcha (cold) with almond milk substitute due to lactose intolerance. It was very delicious, especially the brown sugar boba pearls. The cup is so cute and you can tell so much thought was placed in having high quality products. Im saving this cup for alternative use at home. I also had the ube bun however I didn't like it. It wasn't as sweet as I had hoped and the texture inside wasn't pleasant to me. The ube filling was chunky and kinda broke apart. I wouldn't order that again but would love to try other treat options. Staff were really nice and patient. Service was quick and efficient. Pricing is reasonable in my opinion for the quality and presentation. Highly recommended and I will be back soon!
