They have a very extensive do's and don'ts list for the residents. Why? I appreciate the heads up, but it certainly raises questions why it's necessary and requiring multiple consents when booking. Past negative experiences? They also strongly encourage buying vacation insurance. Factor that added cost when considering this choice.

Homemade cookies were waiting for us, and we loved unwinding with a glass of wine from the happy hour bar in the beautiful lobby. One of our favorite thoughtful touches was the essential oil diffuser bar in the main lodge. You can borrow a diffuser and choose your own oil to bring back to your room, which made the whole experience feel extra special and personalized. The whole property is small, quaint, and impeccably clean, which made it so peaceful to stroll around and take it all in. And the cabin feels like a serene home with all the right touches. We couldn't wait to go back. This year we stayed in the King Suite because the cabins were booked. It was still lovely and cozy but more modern feeling than the cabins. It's more of a hotel feel; wood floors would probably help rather than the carpet. It's different than the Hideout Cabin which is probably my favorite place to stay- not just in Tahoe. The hot tub is great but don't expect powerful jets and unfortunately the jets in the suite tub didn't work. That and the lighting in the suite are my only critiques (it's a bit harsh and the bathroom switches are confusing) Still, we are as happy as can be here. The added diffuser bar was a nice touch and surprise because there was a diffuser in the cabin last time we stayed but it's nice you can pick your favorite scent now. The staff here is also fantastic. Very kind and helpful. I wanted to bring our whole family here for Christmas after our first visit but they opted for a large cabin together. The view in my bedroom bathroom and kitchen area where we ate was spectacular and just magical to see this snow cap mountains over the lake. The whole experience and the excellent service and friendliness of the couple who owns the place made it exceptional. The couple goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is welcome, warm, and comfortable. The morning breakfast had a nice selection with some homemade baked pudding bread. I slept better in this bed-and-breakfast than most hotels. I would definitely go back and recommending to my family and friends.

The checkin process is easy and self serve. They'll email you your cabin number and the passcode to open the key lock to obtain the key to your cabin on your day of arrival. There's one parking spot in front of your rented cabin, but there are ample parking spaces on the street or nearby. There's a porch with chairs and table if you like to sit on and enjoy your morning coffee and late evening sip of hot chocolate. We were impressed with the spaciousness and coziness of the cabin we rented. There's a cute living room with a convertible couch. We love their vaulted ceiling and quaint decorations. The kitchen area is clean and fully equipped with everything you may need for your stay. There's also a full fridge with freezer for you to store your perishable food or chill your alcoholic beverages. A full bathroom and a master bedroom are located in the back of the cabin. My puppy and I were excited to discover the stairs leading to the loft upstairs. Going up the stairs, you'll find 2 more sleeping area with 2 full beds each, enough to fit 4 more adults. The loft looks out into the living room and kitchen area. Though we only had 2 people and 1 dog in our group, we believed the cabin could fit up to 6-8 people and would be perfect for big group. Another merit about the cabin is that it's dog friendly. They charge you extra fees if you have dogs with you though. Make sure to check with them first before booking. The only complaint we have is that the beds might have bed bugs. Both of us got bitten and itchy all over our bodies. Other than that, everything else was perfect.

It's a cozy little cabin, living room, kitchenette which is stocked with a lot of cooking utensils, a bedroom in the back with a queen bed, one bathroom (tub & shower), & a little staircase that leads up to a loft with a full size bed. It's nicely decorated inside, & has plenty of room for unpacking if you're doing a longer stay. Plenty of lighting, & it stayed nice & warm, despite being surrounded by heaps of snow. Couple little downsides. There was a little bit of trash thrown around the outside of our cabin from the previous tenants. The tub doesn't really look clean, & the couch had some rips/stains on the pillows. Whenever I travel, I bring my own pillow, towels and several blankets to put down over other peoples furniture, I would suggest doing the same. We stayed here for two nights, & both nights the circuit breaker went out. The first night we realized that the little plug in space heater took too much energy, so my husband reset the breaker. Then it happened again just now, except everything went out, & all of the houses went out too. They did get over quickly & get everything turned back on expediently though. But overall, it was a pleasant place to stay for our two days in the area. About 5 minutes from one of the main roads for shopping and restaurants, & 15 minutes from Heavenly Village. It is a little roundabout of 12 cabins tucked away in the pines, & we felt very safe and comfortable here. We would definitely stay here again!

There are no real restrooms when you get to the lake (just an enclosed building with a hole in the ground) and a small snack shack that serves sandwiches, lemonade, ice cream, etc. the beach area for the lake is very small / narrow, but it is a great area for kids. They have paddle board, kayak, and small boat rentals to enjoy as well.

The silverfork river is out your front door, but you get to sleep in a clean room with a refrigerator, microwave and air conditioning at night. The new owners have done an amazing job renovating this place and really cleaning it up. It is not a four-star hotel, it is a basic room, however it is right on the river which makes it amazing!!

But the hit of our stay was the restaurant. Their cuisine was as good as any restaurant we've been to. Their chef produced absolutely outstanding menu choices and presentations. The waiter crew were friendly and professional with special consideration to Clay who made our evening meal choices memorable. Just book it, especially if you have fur babies!…read more My husband and I live in Reno and wanted to book an anniversary trip to Tahoe that we could take our senior Weimaraners. We also have a friend who is a photographer and we haven't had professional photos taken since our wedding 18 years ago so we thought The Landing would be the perfect place since they host weddings here and it's right next to the beach. There are so many excellent parts to mention but I will start with the staff. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. Our 15 year old had just passed and so our 12 year old was a little lost and loved all of the attention. She was treated just like one of the family. They even allow dogs on the free shuttle which is so perfect so we were able to go into the village and have lunch with her. It's a downhill walk back and so pretty, so we enjoyed the fresh air back. They upgraded our room and the views of the lake were perfect. It was so easy taking Juno out for potty breaks. It was extremely quiet and clean. The heated floors and toilets are a nice touch. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and it is the best meal I've had in Tahoe. The Venison is unbelievably tender and flavorful. My husband loved his homemade pasta with huge prawns. Our server, Kevin, went above and beyond to make the night special. They even let us take a few pictures in the bar area which I think turned out really cool with all of the bottles and colors in the background. Of course we all come for Tahoe! This place is right on a perfect spot. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, some trees and grassy areas also made for perfect pictures. We were there right at the start of Memorial Day weekend so it was extremely quiet and peaceful. I'm sure it will get busy in the height of summer but even then being able to walk across the street from your room makes it so convenient. We want to thank everyone at The Landing for a perfect trip! We can't wait to do it again!
