When we found Dr Anglis we knew we could trust him and I could not be more satisfied and thankful for his treatment. Research his credentials-he is the expert! Dr. Anglis sent it back to the lab several times but I continued to have pain and my bite was off. This went on until August 2022. I kept asking him what was wrong and he would say "I don't know". He finally sent me a letter and refunded my money and said to see a prosthedontist. I went to see one and was asked if Dr. Anglis was a general dentist. I said yes and that he was an" implant specialist". The prosthedontist informed me that there is no implant dentistry specialty in dentistry. He said Dr, Anglis should have corrected this misaligned implant sooner and was surpised he waited so long . He said I should only go to a prosthedontist or oral surgeon for implants. It is a very precise surgery and he said this implant was not planned well. It had to be removed and start all over. It could never be restored with the way the implant was placed and it was affecting my bite terribly. I had suffered with this misaligned implant for a whole year and Dr. Anglis and didn't know what to do. He should not be placing implants if he can't fix his problems according to the prosthedontist. I had the implant removed which the oral surgeon said was a complicated surgery since it was placed the year before. After that I needed a bone graft, and sinus lift. Finally I got the implant placed in the correct position and a crown was placed. This took another year. I had trusted Dr. Anglis for the years I went to him and sent him three patients. I so wish I never went there. Dr. Anglis is just a general dentist with some training placing implants but does not have the eduation an oral surgeon or posthedontist has since they can fix a problem when it arises.

I spent the last 34 years going to my Mom is a dentist in Cincinnati, so I am pretty partial. I…read morerelocated to the area recently and went in for what felt like and turned out to be a cavity. First off I was BLOWN AWAY by the amount of super modern equipment they had. Beacon Hill made my Mom's office look dated (sorry Mom!). I had an excellent hygienist named Julie she breezed through all of the check up and cleaning, (plus they had this awesome thing they place in your cheek that catches all the drool and you can relax your jaw, so you don't have to sit there with your mouth cranked open and end up sore... (Whatever it was it, it is one of the reasons I will go back in a heartbeat!) Also, with all the technology in the office it took no time and was super easy plus I got to watch ESPN on a TV over my chair, which made the time fly. It turned out I had a cavity so Julie had to give me a numbing shot.... I am a total needle-phobic person so I was freaking out. However, Beacon Hill has these amazing needles that I'm pretty sure are laser cut and so precise I didn't feel a thing! I was super relieved. Next thing I know Dr. Paul came in and worked on my cavity. He was very nice and was always checking back on me to make sure I was comfortable. He filled my cavity I watched TV while he was doing it and I was on my way home in no time. I am super happy because I can go here on a regular basis going forward and don't have to take a special trip to get my cavities filled or my routine cleanings. I will be back in November for my next check up!

Looking back now, I'm really grateful I got a second opinion before moving forward. It's been about 6 years and a lot of the major work I was told I needed never actually became necessary. Rita Patel-Miller seemed friendly enough, but the experience felt more money first than patient-first. To be fair, it's been a long time since I've been there and I genuinely hope things have changed. But I do think this is one of those situations people should be aware. My new dentist shared that this happens, sadly. The aggressive upselling and unnecessary dental work. If any provider tells you that you suddenly need thousands of dollars of treatment, please get a second opinion before agreeing!

Nightmares on Randolph…read more The experience with this dentist was deeply disappointing. The building is shiny and new, but that's where the dazzle ends. Their service, care and billing are atrocious. Chanbo also recommends unnecessary treatments; which provides cash flow for the new building, but superfluous, and depleting for you and your family. Unfortunately, the substandard treatment doesn't stop there -- Employees have had to bring lawsuits to be paid for their contracts. I brought my kids here for cleanings, which was my first mistake. The hygienist even attempted to bully me into fluoride treatments which I don't want for my family. My second mistake was allowing Chanbo Sim to provide orthodontic care for my 9 year old. He doesn't personally perform any orthodontic care or personally inspect any orthodontic work -- he has hygienists performing orthodontics. It was a huge red flag for me that he never showed up in the office during ortho appointments. Shortly after the initial treatment, both expanders fell out of my son's mouth. Our new orthodontist said this should never happen and he could have choked. He also added that he didn't need the expanders and doesn't need phase 1 ortho treatment. I should have ran then, but I didn't. I'm currently upset with myself for allowing this to go on, because after they replaced the expanders, they stopped working; when turning the appliance, the pin would just go round and round. I told this to the office and they said indeed, it is still widening his mouth. Anyone with a basic level of understanding would know that if there is no tension on the turn, then it is not expanding his palate. It was at this point that I stopped the care and went to a real orthodontist who revealed that they have heard of issues with this office. Please see the 1 star reviews on Google for this location along with his other location in Merrillville, "Family Dental Care." The reviews show a consistent poor level of care and service.
