I've used them personally and referred them out to many friends and clients and everyone has been extremely happy with them. 24 years ago Randy Berry discovered mold in my HVAC system and determined the return vent tube was being submerged in water, under my raised foundation, during the wet weather. This explained all our illnesses in the house. He cleaned and sealed the ventilation system and replaced the submersed tube. Also a pump was installed to prevent future problems. Other contractors missed the mold! I've used Berry Construction many times over the years including a remodel and room addition just last year. We had a major flood in Cambria this winter. A cleanup crew came and removed all the flooring, cabinets, and appliances. This was a problem, of course. The crew gave me the name of Randy Berry to contact. I was concerned about contacting someone that I had never heard of. But I had to do something. Randy met me when I could be there. I was impressed immediately by his personality. My wife and dog, both great judges of character liked him. From that moment we asked Randy to take care of rebuilding our damaged house. He even found other issues that needed to be addressed. He met us at the countertop shop and gave us great ideas. He made sure the roof was fixed, all ceilings and water entry sites were fixed. We had decent leak and water damage. I cannot recommend this company as they did not do quality work. Many times they left work that was entirely unacceptable. They fixed our kitchen ceiling and upgraded the lighting. However there were lines noticeable in the ceiling and we had to point this out three times. They also replaced some flooring but at first tried to only replace specific pieces which of course left noticeable gaps. Lastly after redoing the bathroom they did not even caulk the toilet or tighten it. Also it began leaking about 30 days after. I give them a star because they fixed issues after we brought it up. I think the problem is not enough check of the work, not enough supervision. read more

Pretty annoyed with this contractor. Was looking to do a small scale bathroom remodel (and perhaps this was the wrong contractor for the scope of work) and recognized that they would likely be our largest scope and highest price but wanted to get an estimate to evaluate our options. Randy came out and did a site visit, took measurements and discussed what he would want to do compared to what I would want. On leaving he said he'd provide an estimate but over a week later had heard nothing. Upon calling to inquire he basically informed me in so few words that my job wasn't worth his time and so he just never bothered to prepare an estimate or even inform me he wouldn't be preparing one. He just laughed me off. Idk if he does good work or not but I do know I will not be coming to them for future work. read more

It is almost hard to find the words to describe how highly I recommend Berry Construction. My house flooded with literal fecal matter not once, but twice, one month before my little brother's wedding. A wedding where I was hosting 12 family members in my home. One month before the wedding, a pipe backed up and flooded my entire downstairs with raw sewage, a level three contaminate. My entire downstairs had to be complete ripped out to the studs, my kitchen, living room, dining room, closet, stairway, and bathroom. It was one of the most traumatic and stressful incidents I have ever dealt with and I am a litigation attorney! I don't remember who recommended Randy and his company, but that person changed my life. I was so scared to be taken to the cleaners by a contractor who didn't respect deadlines, who would overcharge me, who would talk down to me because I was a single woman, or who would do shoddy work. Berry Construction was the most professional operation I have ever worked with. Communication was flawless, Randy or Billy were always a text or phone call away. They specialize in water damage so they actually worked with my insurance company so I didn't have to! They got my entire 65K+ renovation and remodel covered by my insurance company. The only thing I paid for was my deductible and the cost for some minor upgrades I wanted and I didn't have to waste hours of my life fighting with the insurance company! They took care of everything so I could focus on my life rather than being consumed by a huge renovation that I hadn't asked for or planned for. In addition to doing incredible work, every single subcontractor who came into my home was punctual, kind, and professional. The same subcontractor designed my cabinets and my mantel so the house flows so beautifully. Randy and Billy went to home depot for me and took pictures of tile choices and texted them to me at work so I could make decisions while still keeping up with my full time job. Their attention to every single detail shows throughout the house. Randy and Billy had incredible ideas for everything from a custom light up bar in my kitchen to paint colors for my walls. They were with me every single step of the way from demo to drywall to the details that made my downstairs feel beautiful again after being dealt the unthinkable. Finally, they did exactly what they promised me they would in the timeline they promised even though my house flooded with raw sewage a SECOND TIME while we were in the middle of rebuilding!! I honestly do not know how Randy and crew got everything done in time, they literally worked a miracle. My downstairs turned out even more gorgeous than it ever was and I happily hosted 12 family members in time for the wedding. Contracted with them to make a bathroom and walk-in closet from an extra bedroom. The demo, plumbing, and framing went without a hitch, but they really faltered with the finishing work. The tile work had to be redone three times. The tiler complained that he had never done such a job before & apparently the best tiler was told to do a tile job for Berry's mobile home. They also decided to do a particular finish for my walls without my consent, so got stuck with something I didn't want. Attention to details is sub-standard. The electrician installed an exterior plug that has pulled away from the wall & now doesn't work; a pocket door they installed is stuck; and a few other little things that just annoy. Tried to negotiate a final price based on the overall experience & they just didn't get it... Kinda frustrating. read more
