I contacted them because all their reviews were so positive. I have a 3,200 Sq ft attic that has been a hotel to my numerous feral cats/kittens and a few opossums and raccoons for 15 yrs now! They destroyed all the insulation and the heating/air ducting You ask how did this happen, well if you have ever dealt with a large group of feral cats that breed like rabbits, it becomes overwhelming very quickly especially when you don't even know they are up there! Well, we are finally down to two cats living up there so we knew IT WAS TIME TO GET THE ATTIC CLEANED UP, NEW INSULATION AND DUCTING AND THEN CLOSE IT UP FINALLY! I called three contractors expecting them all to turn down the job and I couldn't blame them if they did! Fortunately, SCI - Simons Const was the first company I called. Ryan answered the phone and said he would be out the next da1y to look at it. He went up into the attic and when he came back down he said YES, they would do the job and he explained in full detail to me what they needed to do and how they were going to do it! He also sent me a detailed bid THAT NIGHT and explained a lot of things can come up once it's cleaned up like wiring and structural issues. Obviously these would be added costs but I was informed by Don, who was amazing and worked like a supervisor along with all the crew, every step of the way if they saw anything that was a concern! I could never say enough GOOD THINGS ABOUT DON!!! He always kept me informed what they were doing, when they would be here and he always made sure they were not interrupting my daily activities! He always kept Ryan in touch of what was going on and then Ryan would call or text me too to make sure I knew what was going on! I tell you, THESE GUYS ARE ON IT and SO EASY TO WORK WITH!!! They also had to keep in touch with my heating/air Co, the insulation Co and my roofers because they had to cut holes in my roof to take out all the old insulation and ducting so we could put in the new stuff! Ryan suggested putting together a group text with everyone's numbers so that EVERYONE KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON AND WHEN, IT KEPT THE PROJECT RUNNING SMOOTHLY AND ON TIME ​The entire project only took 1 month but it felt like it was just a couple of weeks because everyone was so efficient and fortunately there were no unforseen issues I could go on forever about SCI - Simons Const, Ryan, Don and the wonderful crew but all you really need to know is THEY ARE THE BEST at least from my experience in every way!!! So easy to work with, honest reliable and they REALLY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND THEIR WORK SPEAKS FOR ITSELF! Recently, our neighbors had a new home built by Pacific Builders and daily we watched the competence and expertise exhibited by the crew from PB. Subsequently, we hired them to tear all the stucco off our home, install new windows and exterior doors, etc. They pay attention to every little detail, are extremely neat and organized. Maintaining the highest standards coupled with service to their client is their number one priority. If there is a problem, 1 phone call is all it takes and they take immediate action. We put the project out to bid on Yelp to a handful of contractors, and Rob stood out immediately. He was quick to respond, came out in person to look at the site and give us a bid, and his pricing was very competitive. He also walked us through a few different options for some tricky spots on our property, which showed he was actually thinking through the project, not just quoting a standard job. He was flexible on start dates, which we appreciated, and once the work began he showed up exactly when he said he would every time. Communication throughout was easy, mostly texts and calls to keep us in the loop. The craftsmanship is what really sets him apart though. The attention to detail is meticulous, screw alignment, how the wood was notched, small structural improvements he made along the way without being asked. You can tell he takes real pride in doing things right. Beyond the work itself, Rob was just a pleasure to have around. Genuinely kind, thoughtful, easy to talk to. The kind of person you wouldn't mind having over for the holidays. We were almost sad when the project wrapped up because we enjoyed having him on site. His bid was competitive, and he was able to offer suggestions and ideas that we hadn't thought of or didn't know were feasible. The initial timeline was several months out, but Rob remained in contact and was able to move us up on the calendar. The project was completed at the quoted price, plus a couple of scope additions we requested. Work took a little longer than expected, likely due to modifications needed to bring our aging home up to standard, and the perfection of our tile work; Rob does things the right way, and uses great subcontractors. The end result is beautiful. The bathroom remodel was completed so perfectly that we now see flaws in our guest bathroom which was remodeled 3 years ago by a different contractor. Our master suite has transformed from the worst part of our home to our personal sanctuary. I would not hesitate to hire Rob Tol Construction again. In fact, we're already planning to when we're ready to start our next project.
