I slid into my fate and pressed my face against the paper-covered face cushion (sanitary concerns be gone). Treating me like Stretch Armstrong, she pulled at my arms, bending and kneading them. She drove her elbows into my back finding webs of knots from one too many round-trips in a contortionist's economy seat and one too many days spent in front of a computer. Relief. Pain. Happiness. I messaged her through Yelp, and her son (or nephew?) was quick to respond back with how I could book an appointment with Nery. She is extremely packed on weekends and evenings, so I took a half day for myself and went on a random Tuesday morning. A regular, non-gel mani/pedi for me took about an hour and a half - just as estimated when I booked the appointment too! Nery was welcoming, and completely understanding that I am indecisive. I changed my nail colors at least 3 times, and spent more than half my manicure debating is I should change my pedicure color (I did). But who can resist when Nery has walls of OPI and Zoya colors? I'm a sucker for Zoya, and dozens of colors she had on her wall, I also have in my closet. That's how I knew I would love Nery - quality polishes. None of the gross Kleancolor stuff I see a lot at other salons in the area. I chose a matte green from Zoya, opting to not put a top coat on it because it's a matte and c'mon, it looks really good. My favorite part? When she broke out the hand-mixer turned pumice stone when it was pedicure time. I don't know why I loved it, but it craked me up. And it really got all my dead skin off the heels of my feet! Honey & milk gel pedicure with Sheyla - I don't know what they put in the foot mask but my feet have never been this soft in my life GLOW facial with Natalia - glow is an understatement! I feel like I'm 2 weeks in on a Botox appointment. I got some of the vitamin c products she recommended too for my dark spots. I loved every service I got, but what I loved most of all is how it felt to be there. It's CUTE, clean & everyone is super friendly, you can tell that they're happy to be there and it made me want to stay there all day (and I kind of did lol)

The receptionists dont communicate with the techs--I had two services done incorrectly because they didnt tell them what I booked (or the tech assumed/changed my service on their own idk). My acrylic fills would lift or pop off like a press on the week I got them done. Never would last 3 weeks, had constant breaking and hurting my nails underneath. They were not curing them to the nail properly. Each time they would charge me for the new nail an extra $10 so it was adding up when it was their fault for bad application. They set me up with the master tech when I told them what was happening. They said she would figure out what happened and they would do my next fill half off. I thought that was reasonable so I gave it one more shot. They never told me what had been done wrong. I had half my nails still intact when I showed up expecting a fill but they said they would do an entire new set acting like they were doing me a favor for the bad set, but charged me more again at the end instead of what we spoke about --also making my appointment longer than I expected. Ive tried so many salons and was hoping it would be the one, but that last appointment made me not want to come back.

How is that my problem. if someone is more then 15mins late they forfeit their appointment. like are you challenged? How do waste people's time like that?!? With no respect and no regards. I had a feeling she was going to have some BS when she made the appointment. But i gave her the benefit of doubt. I came early. and more BS. CIIIIIIIIIRCUS!!!! It's a very small world.
