We ordered our food, and after about 30 minutes of waiting, asked for an update. I showed my receipt and the confused cashier informed me that they didn't even have a copy of it. The sandwich-maker leaned over and told us he didn't even have a copy of our order. They eventually brought out each item one by one. It was frustrating seeing people that arrived before us, leave before us. As I'm writing this it is 11:47 and our 10 year old still hasn't received his meal. We're letting our food sit so we can eat with him They lost our order. If I never said anything, who knows how long we would be waiting HOWEVER To be impartial, the food was really good. A really cute bakery in the old Subway sandwich spot. They really recreated this location and made it their own. The dishes are very tasty and the crêpes and waffles look wonderful. They also serve ice cream, which is going to be a very nice treat in the summer. Be patient, as there was a little bit of a wait in getting the food, but overall not too bad. Tried the new café that just opened in Baldwin Park and I'm seriously impressed! Parking was easy to find, prices are super reasonable, and the owner is incredibly kind. But the food... WOW. Saturday afternoon sandwich craving satisfied ! Menu is short and sweet with plenty of variety, even for my picky autistic son. My kids had the waffles and a OJ and they loved it. I had the chicken pesto panini and it was delicious. Bread was crispy and chicken was seasoned to perfection. Everything was fresh and colorful. What a delight. We came here for a day break and had the biggest banana split I have ever seen. We get to choose 3 flavors, Rocky road, strawberry and vanilla. The ice cream is from thriftys. It has frost bite on the rocky road and the vanilla, like big clumps of ice, for $10, it's a decent price. I've changed my mind about this place after my most recent exp. 1st exp: Chorizo burrito and coconut horchata were good. Portions small, but the prices are cheaper. Well I need to be blunt. Not Good!! =( I know restaurants get busy and things need to be rushed out. We ordered 2-Cafe De Ollas, strawberry crepe and a breakfast croissant(egg and bacon). I took 5 minutes to get the croissant out. The bacon was precooked. The guy just put it on the flat top and soaked it in oil. They forgot about our drinks. We had to ask three times before the woman at the register realized I was correct. Then after 25 minutes and me watching them cook. The crepe was served. Precooked and reheated in the oven. Some things that could use to improve: The a/c is broken so it's a little stuffy, because it's January it's not bad as they leave the door open for a breeze, but in the summertime I'm sure it will be too hot to dine in and that sucks because as the ambiance is really cool with a 20/30's vibe so it I know this place is fairly new, but the three times I have came, they have ran out/don't have a certain item and that is starting to give a bad look, offer a rain-check on the non-available item or even a 10% discount for the inconvenience. On the build your croissant, they should ask if you want avocado while paying prior to you choosing your options and then being told that's extra and not part of the building you're own choices when you have already paid. I walked in and Edgar, took our order, he was very kind and helpful and made recommendations on the sandwiches. We had Toasted Signature Cuban Torta which was perfection and Pastrami chili sub combo also very tasty.Make sure to ask for a green aioli sauce they have, it really gives the sandwiches the perfect kick of heat.
