The first time I went wanted to get that also but they were out of torta bread. It was a Monday morning. I totally understand delivery wasn't there yet. Saturday afternoon sandwich craving satisfied ! Menu is short and sweet with plenty of variety, even for my picky autistic son. My kids had the waffles and a OJ and they loved it. I had the chicken pesto panini and it was delicious. Bread was crispy and chicken was seasoned to perfection. Everything was fresh and colorful. What a delight. My husband had the breakfast croissant with bacon and egg and he loved it too. We each had a Mexican Coke. Seating area is clean and full of personality. Feels good to have a cute breakfast place in town. Staff is helpful and full of suggestions, which I loved ! This place feels like a sit down/menu place but isn't. A really cute bakery in the old Subway sandwich spot. They really recreated this location and made it their own. The dishes are very tasty and the crêpes and waffles look wonderful. They also serve ice cream, which is going to be a very nice treat in the summer. Be patient, as there was a little bit of a wait in getting the food, but overall not too bad. Tried the new café that just opened in Baldwin Park and I'm seriously impressed! Parking was easy to find, prices are super reasonable, and the owner is incredibly kind. But the food... WOW. Every single bite was amazing. We tried the chilaquiles torta and the chipotle buttery chicken piccata sandwich -- the char on the chicken and peppers was perfect. We came here for a day break and had the biggest banana split I have ever seen. We get to choose 3 flavors, Rocky road, strawberry and vanilla. The ice cream is from thriftys. It has frost bite on the rocky road and the vanilla, like big clumps of ice, for $10, it's a decent price. If you're looking for quality food, then this is the place. Everything is fresh and built to order, because of this, there is a wait for your food but it's worth the weight. So far we have had the salmon toast, build your own croissant and the chilaquiles and it was delicious. Some things that could use to improve: The a/c is broken so it's a little stuffy, because it's January it's not bad as they leave the door open for a breeze, but in the summertime I'm sure it will be too hot to dine in and that sucks because as the ambiance is really cool with a 20/30's vibe so it I know this place is fairly new, but the three times I have came, they have ran out/don't have a certain item and that is starting to give a bad look, offer a rain-check on the non-available item or even a 10% discount for the inconvenience. On the build your croissant, they should ask if you want avocado while paying prior to you choosing your options and then being told that's extra and not part of the building you're own choices when you have already paid. I will still comeback and I suggest if you haven't tried that you do, no restaurant is perfect and I'm sure the small things I listed isn't a deal breaker. read more

Let's begin with the chorizo breakfast burrito, I had asked upon ordering if the chorizo and egg could be combined while cooking and was told yes. So I decided to choose that as it would be a mix! When I received my order they were separate and the grease was oozing out of the burrito that it was completely saturated with grease. I was shocked to see cauliflower because that was a surprise. When I asked prior to leaving to see if it was by mistake, I was informed by the same person who took my order that it wasn't possible to mix it as they preserve the grill they cook the eggs on for vegan options. We had Toasted Signature Cuban Torta which was perfection and Pastrami chili sub combo also very tasty.Make sure to ask for a green aioli sauce they have, it really gives the sandwiches the perfect kick of heat.
