This place, indeed, has a mini market inside with a surprising selection of meats, pantry items and chips. I recommend their chicken sandwich (napilitana de pollo $13.99 for large). It is good. It is the same price at the beef version but understandly so. The chicken meat was grilled tenderly, and the slice of ham it came with added the saltynesss the sandwich needed. Simple but effective. Also chilies adds great flavor too. You can ask for it on the side to adjust spiciness to your preference. Capicollo, one of the cold sandwich, was fine but nothing to write home about. Atlas or wings ($11.99/lb) here remind me of the ones I used to get when I was younger... I like how the spicy version is still deed fried and not saucy. (Personally prefer dry rubs.) The heat can creep up to u after a few. But not all wings are created equally, might end with with some tiny more battered ones along with regulars. Wait times can be longer during lunch times - waited 30 min for takeout during weekday lunch hour. read more

4/22/25 Met up with a good friend here to try their empanadas, friendly service and community based business It looks like a local favorite. There's already food that is fried and ready to go when you come up to the counter apparently there's a process that it's lost on me. So I just went my own way and got in line, picked what I wanted and then paid, found a table that is first-come-first-served basis. Easy peasey. Got some cheese empanadas, chicken wings & French fries. What do that to me was the cheese and vanilla, very cheesy and savory! The fries on the other hand felt like that they were sitting there a bit, and I love fries so these kinda were a meh for me. It looks like a small cafeteria set up with the lunch lady at the counter, No muss, no fuss. Pretty good experience coz it was spent with Hubby and a very good friend. My wife brought home a dozen empanadas several years ago and I thought they were not my cup of tea. Now that I had a chance to actually get the empanadas fresh, my whole world changed and now I'm hooked. The cashier takes your order and gives you a receipt with a number on it. Great value local Argentine market and deli in El Monte. I went here on a Sunday at 3pm and even then, there was a long line, so I cannot imagine how busy it gets during lunch hours. It was about a 15 min wait for lining up to order and getting the food. The good thing is a lot of their stuff is made in batches in anticipation of upcoming orders. We got the milanesa de res (steak), hot pastrami sandwich, beef empanada, and chicken empanada. Price was pretty good as it was less than $30 for everything, and it was fairly filling. The sandwich comes as small and large, and even the small was a respectable size (the large looks super huge and is a bit better value, but we were aiming on variety than value this time). The milanesa is a thinly fried steak with bread, so it was a bit dry, but the peppers (requested on the side) enhanced the flavors. The hot pastrami sandwich is solid - lots of meat. I am not as big of a fan of pickle and mustard but it did mesh the flavors well. The empanadas were large for $3 so I would definitely order those again. The chicken is a bit sweet while the beef is pretty juicy. Overall, no frills and good value restaurant. read more

This was my first visit to this small Argentinean market. My wife loves their Jamon sandwiches, and she's purchased meats from the butcher counter in the past. On this visit, we specifically went to purchase a couple Entraña steaks (Skirt Steaks) for the 4th of July weekend. While there, we also picked up several Argentinian Sausages to grill, as well as a couple of their Beef Empanadas. They also sell an amazing chimichurri, which I believe that they make there. Small market with many ethnic items that can't be found in the regular grocery stores, and all their products are of good quality. There's a small indoor seating area if you want to dine there, but I observed most people taking their food/groceries to go. We'll continue to shop here for those specialty items and the meats. Such a huge sandwich/empanada spot and market combined! Parking was not bad since they have their own parking lot but it's shared with other businesses and the spots are a little tight and small. Service was ok and not too friendly or welcoming. Inside was very busy since I went on a Wednesday around noon. So glad I made an online order to pick up otherwise the line was extremely longer and it was very crowded inside. Menu had a good variety of hot and cold sandwiches, as well as empanadas. Pricing was very reasonable. The sandwiches come in 2 sizes - Small (expect to pay $8-$12) & Large (expect to pay $12-$15). The empanadas had 3 kinds (cheese, chicken, and beef) and were $2.99 each. The Lomo de Res (Filet Mignon - $11.99) was decent. The sandwich was pretty big for a small and had a lot of meat inside. However, the meat wasn't as tender and flavorful as I was expecting. Old school since 1971. We were participating in the Corazon del Valle bicycle event and the street in front of the market was closed off. The service was fast since there were no cars allowed into the parking lot. I ordered a cheese and chicken empanada and we ate them in front of the market. They were delicious as always and very filling. I will have to go back another day and try some of their other food items. read more

There's no air conditioning so it can get warm while waiting for food. You can tell that this is a local favorite because we saw construction workers and nurses pick up food from here. I especially like how the sandwiches feel like they're pressed to pack in all the extra meats and juices. They were busy line was out the door but got our food within 5 mins of waiting. I stopped by because I was in the area and remembered this place being better, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. I ordered empanadas, a hamburger, and French fries. The hamburger was honestly pretty bad--the cheese wasn't even melted, which made it feel rushed and careless. The empanadas weren't terrible, but they weren't nearly as good as I remembered, which was a letdown. The French fries were decent, but not enough to make up for the rest. Overall, I feel like I wasted my money and could've eaten somewhere else. I'm glad I didn't tip at the register--I really don't agree with being asked to tip before even receiving the food, especially when the quality doesn't deliver. Located in El Monte ! Tito's Market is still a treasure. I went back after ten years, and the sandwiches are just as delicious as I remembered from childhood. The line was a bit long, but I was in and out in under six minutes. The sandwiches were perfect - fresh bread, just the right amount of spice in the chili, and great quality meat that's nicely breaded. There are many other options such as the empanadas and chicken wings along with a meat department. The customer service was top-notch too, the ladies working hard to get orders out efficiently. I've been going to Tito's market since it was located at their first location a few blocks east of this location. Their food is always amazing. Their Torta de Milanesa and the Chorizo Argentino is amazing but if you want great cuts of meat. Just walk over tho the meat counter and pick up some ranchera for some great carne asada. read more

I came here for Empanadas since a Mexican neighbor highly recommended trying Mexican empanadas from Tito's market. I did not think they were very good. It did not help that the ladies servicing us were very rude. When I told them that it was our first time coming here and we were curious which empanadas to order, they kind of rolled their eyes at us. And one of them motioned the guy behind us while another one walked away. The one that stayed with us eventually replied, "They all good. Which one you want?" Since I trust my neighbor (a guy with usually good taste), we ordered one of each. I did feel that I should have paid more attention in high school Spanish classes. The ladies seemed nicer regular customers and those that spoke Spanish. The shop looks like they have some good tortas, sandwiches and fried food though. We ordered chili on the side for all our sandwiches, it's chopped up pickled jalapenos and carrots. Lomo De Res (Filet Mignon)- meat was tender and flavorful paired well with the cheese. Adobada (Marinated Pork, Bell Peppers & Onions)- pretty good and saucy. But wasn't as tender as I'm use to. Milanesa De Pollo (Breaded Chicken)- tasted like what breaded chicken would taste like, nothing special. Empanadas weren't my favorite and not what I'm use to. Chicken was really sweet. Stopped by to pick up dinner, ordered the empanadas de queso/cheese and empanadas de res/beef. Both were so tasty and full of ingredients, the empanada it's self was super soft in the middle. The torta de milanesa, amazing, simple ingredients but so tasty. The meat was soft and flavorful, the jalapenos was the right level of hot and the bread, super soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside, the perfect combination.
