Emerita , Rafael and their crew is outstanding. We recently completed a massive landscaping project, and I'm so glad we chose this team. This was not a simple backyard refresh--it was a large, complex project that included a bocce court, new soccer field, extensive pavers from front to backyard, a central walkway, custom lighting, retaining walls, a custom-pavered deck, large contemporary planters, turf, and many other details. What impressed us most was how professionally the entire project was managed from start to finish. The crew was on time every single day--we genuinely did not have a single missed day--and they kept a very large project moving and on schedule. They were also incredibly clean, and organized throughout the process. With a project this size, changes and upgrades inevitably come up. They handled that process extremely well. Everything was communicated clearly and, most importantly, we always felt the pricing and decisions were fair. There are always going to be ups and downs during a major construction project, and having a team you can trust when those things come up makes a huge difference. Another huge plus: they handled everything soup to nuts. I did not have to find or coordinate anything at all. They project-managed the entire job, which took an enormous amount of stress off us. They had a crew of 4 people working very diligently and all I can say is I am so IMPRESSED by the high quality work from Berryessa Lawn & Landscaping does. They really helped me out. My small yard was so overgrown with weeds taller than the fence. I also wanted artificial grass but couldn't put it down without my landlords permission. They worked out a temporary solution for me that looks beautiful but will be easy to remove if my landlord has a problem with it. They worked really fast and the price was reasonable. We just finished a blue-stone patio install in my backyard that was rather tricky (3 sizes of stone in a pattern, and variances in cut dimension and thickness of stones. After years of pulling weeds and golden poppy infestation in my front yard I finally gave up. I found Emerita and Rafael on Yelp. They came to assess the situation, listened attentively to my concerns, made recommendations, and then a few days later they came out with their small crew and got to work. Oh my goodness, how much work that was, to remove all that lava rock. They did a superb job, replaced the weed blocker (which over the years had collected so much dirt that weeds were growing everywhere), brought new lava rock and distributed it, caring for all the existing plants (I'm paranoid because in the past, other 'professionals' ruined or even killed some of my plants by being negligent). Removed some huge plants that looked cute when they were small, but no more. Rafael re-did the sprinkler system: he removed a huge section that I no longer need to look at now, sticking out of the lava rock. It looks so much better now without it. It was a bit complicated with the many random plants in every direction, but Rafael figured it out. Emerita and Rafael even procured the two trellises that I wanted installed for my bougainvilleas. I had a huge problem with the weeds and unwanted plants growing through the artificial turf in my yard. I contacted Berryessa Lawn & Landscaping to get a quote. Within 10 minutes I received a reply from Emerita to schedule a visit to my yard to get a quote the next day. We scheduled the work to happen just five days later. I am very impressed with the work that Emerita, Rafael, and team did. They lifted up all turf, cleaned everything up from underneath, and reinstalled the turf with blockers to prevent the problem from happening again. They also cleaned up all the plants in the side and back yards. The yard looks amazing, I couldn't be happier. The price was very reasonable considering the amount of work that needed to be done. I highly recommend Berryessa Lawn and Landscaping. Eli and his team replaced my driveway and front sidewalk with pavers and installed synthetic turf in my front and back yards. They have great work ethics and the quality of work is outstanding. The pavers I selected had four sizes and the layout pattern I selected required numerous cuttings, many being curved, and they did an excellent job. The installation of the synthetic turf was also outstanding. They minimized the number of seams, and the seams are not visible (seams are visible in many synthetic turf installations in my neighborhood). Also, the synthetic turf against the pavers and the existing moss rocks in my yard looks natural, not artificial. The work included demolition and removal of the old concrete driveway and sidewalk, removal of a liquid amber tree from the front yard, removal of juniper shrubs on both sides of the old driveway and removal of the old turf. Eli and his team cleaned the work area at the end of each day. Demolition and part of the ground preparation was done during a heat wave, and the team steadily worked hard in the heat. I was impressed. Eli is a professional and dedicated to satisfying the customer. At the end of each day he asked if I was happy with the quality of work and if I had any issues. The few issues I had he acted on the next work day. Before meeting Eli and Emerita, I had decided on the pavers but was not sure about the synthetic turf. They brought several samples for me to look at, and included the turf I was interested in. I was concerned about the color being a little too dark, and asked their recommendation for the most realistic looking turf. They showed me their recommendation and informed me that besides appearance the feeling of the turf was also important (till this point I had only considered appearance). I informed them that it was difficult to make a decision just using the samples although they were large enough to stand on. They offered to bring a larger piece of the recommended turf. I informed them of a yard in my neighborhood that I liked. When they returned with the larger piece of the recommended turf, they informed me that they not only looked at the yard I liked, but also walked on the turf, stating it did not feel natural, that it felt "spikey." I love the appearance and feel of my installed turf. Maybe because the turf is new, whenever our grandkids visit us, they walk on or roll on the turf when they get out of their vehicle.
