my husband went in shopping for a family member. Salesman took us to a desk. My husband told him what we were looking for regarding price range. We didn't say new or preowned certified at that time. He right away, jumped into another price level.. My husband stopped him and said no this is the price that we are working with. Without saying if they had pre-certified used ones he looked at us and said " we don't have anything in that price range. We can't help you." then he got up and walked away. I think my mouth stayed open for at least 30 seconds. Didn't take our name or number or say he would call us if he could find something. He was so rude and dismissive. Purchased a new 2022 Kia Forte GT Line - the vehicle now has 20k miles and already has the ac that has gone out. Took it in for service, the part (a/c condenser) not in stock. They had to order the part that is on "backorder" so it will take 1-2 months before the part comes in. Really???? Ridiculous!! I called Service Department (3) times in one day just to get this news. So we were told we could pick up the car, it is "drivable". It will be a month or two. We can call every two weeks until we are told the part has come in. RIDICULOUS!!!!! read more

Where to start? Purchased two cars from this dealership, and the process was good for the most part. They did sell a van my wife was looking at and had said she'd buy outright, they sold it right from under her because the salesperson took too long to understand she was buying it cash. My car went easier, but then they loaded us a bullcrap story about how they have to add about a $5k bump to prices for whatever stupid reasons they tried to justify. After that, dealing with the finance manager was awful. You literally feel dirty having to deal with him as he came off as the type that "used car stereotypes" are built around. He was pushy, rude, rushes you through the process and doesn't give you time to read the documents, then changes numbers to hide fees/expenses. He pushed my wife and I to buy a road vantage program that covered things like broken windshield, paint, etc. Cost was about $5k. Magically makes the number $0 in the paperwork while inflating the price of the car principle cost. This means you are paying a finance charge on the price of the plan as well, for the 5 years you have it. Now when you go to trade/sell your vehicle, you are not able to obtain a refund/recoup of that money (supposedly) and they pocket that money if the plan is never used. Plus, they make it a pain TO USE IT if you wanted to. Avoid this dealership, and all Bert Ogden locations. The slime is thick there. So much so that I'll likely be approaching the Texas AG, DMV, and other State Automotive legality agencies about possible legal options and just to bring this practice to light. read more

My Kia Sportage SX 2019 is ok Mechanically speaking, although I got some issues with it, but I'm really disappointed with the comfort side of the vehicle. This SUV has no options, it supposes to have all the options integrated in this model, however: 1. Although it has power seats, doesn't have a memory preset for a seat and rear-view mirrors as my older 2004 Encore have. 2. It has ventilated/heated seats and Auto Hold options. But you have to activate it every time you turn the vehicle on. 3. Service was always a pain in the neck, you always have to wait the lady doing computer entries before you are allowed to state your problem, they never have a loaner while they keep your vehicle in service and they are always defensive putting the problems back on you. read more

I purchased a vehicle, I only received one key and the salesman and manager both told me they were going to figure out what happened to the second key/fob. I haven't received that call yet. it's been five weeks since my purchase. i ran into both of them at the dealership servicing another vehicle and they told me they would get back to me. Nothing has been done to solve the key/fob issue. Maybe someone higher up can help with this issue. 21K for the car with only one key is not fair. read more

To KIA Customer Service: This letter is to document our experience with KIA customer service. I have owned two KIA vehicles; a Forte and a Sedona. This was my first experience bringing my KIA vehicle to an authorized KIA dealership. On September 2nd there was an attempt to steal my KIA Forte from my home. The perpetrators destroyed much of my car's steering column. Thankfully we had GEICO insurance with 30 day car rental coverage. The car was towed to the KIA Mission dealership on August 8th. August 8th - Cinthya/KIA dealership stated they would start repairs on August 10th. August 12-13th - The GEICO adjuster called Mission five times and no answers. He left three voices mails August 15th - Cinthya/KIA stated they required more parts. August 25th - KIA/Cinthya told Geico that they got all the parts and they'll start repairing the car. A Sept 1st - KIA/Cinthya told the Gieco agent KIA needed more parts, no ETA given for part Sept 23 - , Ms. Brough called KIA/Cinthya told Ms. Brough they would call when the car was completed, KIA didn't' call back. Sept 29 - Ms. Brough called and KIA/Cinthya told Ms. Brough her car was ready for pickup. Upon picking up the car, Ms. Brough asked the KIA service person to see the notes about the car. Ms. Brough was told there were no notes. First. The car was filthy outside. The car dealership did not wash/clean the outside or inside the car. Plastic parts were left in the back seat. Secondly, The car's battery was dead. Mr. Brough asked the KIA service agent to help with the car's dead battery. They ignored him. Mr. Brough's asked the KIA service agent if he could ask one of the KIA mechanics for a wrench so he could change the battery himself. The KIA agent said no. Mr. Brough took it upon himself and walked over to the KIA garage. Thankfully, a mechanic did help Mr. Brough remove the dead battery. Mr. Brough had to go across the street to Walmart and buy a new battery. Third. Mr. Brough also noticed the car's back brake lights were continually engaged. The likely reason for a dead battery. Thankfully, the mechanic that helped with the dead battery also helped fix the back brake lights. Fourth. Once the car was started, a low tire pressure light indicator was on. Once Mr. Brough got home he discovered that all four tires had pressures 50% below the car's recommended PSI. The dealership allowed a vehicle to leave with very unsafe tire pressure. Our first-time experience with KIA customer service is not good. We were lied to. We were ignored. We incurred additional expenses. Our lives were put in danger, low tire pressure. Geico covered 30 days of car rental but it took 52 days to get our car back. For 22 days we were out of car rental coverage. We politely request, based on the experience above, that KIA mission dealership at least refunds our $500 deductible. Thank You, read more

I'm fairly new to this dealership. I bought a used Kia about year ago and have had service here on regular basis. Although the staff is courteous, my wait time for oil changes is ridiculous. The times I have been here I wait at least 2 1/2 hours and that is with an appointment time set up every time. Today's wait time was 2 hours and 45 minutes. I have other vehicles from other dealerships and have always serviced them there. Wait time for oil changes is never as long as here. Please look into that issue because I'm hoping to purchase a new Kia and my first impression of the service dept and is not 5 star quality yet. read more

They would have received 5 stars after i purchased my used 2017 Kia Soul, except i was told several times from sales And finance that i would have FREE OIL CHANGES........ And was LIED too. My mother heard the EXACT same thing about the free oil changes (along with a free car wash with every oil change)..... I went today for my very first FREE oil change.... BUT IT WASN'T!!! I was told that there us NOTHING stating i would receive free oil changes so I HAD TO PAY!!! PLUS THE CAR WASN'T EVEN WASHED!! DO NOT take your car to Bert Ogden Mission Kia service! !! I am very disappointed at how l was lied to. I took my car to get checked because the engine oil light was turning on and off. Mayra Calderon told me that since the light was not on at the moment she was inspecting it, my car needed to go through diagnostics. I agreed as l wanted to find out why my car was having that light on and off. When l picked up my car, she told me the technician had checked and it needed the battery sensor to be replaced. I scheduled the service based on their recommendation to fix my car and the light to go off. Long story short, after paying $200 for the diagnostics and $450 for the battery sensor replacement, l drove off from there and the engine oil light comes on!!! I go back and Mayra says it's because the oil is black and it needs to be changed. So l asked, "so your original diagnostics was wrong, you said it needed the sensor, now you say it's something else". She says that the oil change would make the light go away. Another lie! I go and she now gives a list of maintenance service recommendations totaling $1,000. She says that after these, the engine oil light will stop popping up. Besides the $200 wrong diagnostics, l can tell you, they truly rip people off! Examples: engine air filter $73 and cabin air filter $80 plus labor. Ridiculously overpriced! I bought both for $40 and my teen daughter installed them in 10 minutes. I still need to find a reliable auto service business that diagnoses the engine oil blinking light correctly and get it fixed. I bought a 2019 Kia Niro in St. Louis, Mo. My A/C quit working In McAllen, Tx. I went to this dealer & was told their A/C recovery machine was O/O so they sent me to their other dealership 31 miles away in Harlingen, Tx. well I made 4 trips (over 200 miles total) & the A/C still isn't working right. I called KIA U.S.A. & was put on hold while they called the dealership & they told KIA U.S.A. they had never heard of me or worked on my car, as soon as I hung up with KIA U.S.A. they called me & said the parts for my car had come in. I believe it's because It's still under warranty & they can't stick me with a bill OR maybe because I bought the car 1100 miles away in St. Louis, Mo. I live in the St. Louis area & will be here till 4/01/2020 & can't get my car fixed !! I would rather walk than buy anything from the Bert Ogden dealerships !! read more

My wife set an appointment for 1000 on Monday on her 2016 Kia Sorento for an oil change, replace air filter and brake line flush. She arrived at 930 and her vehicle was taken into the service area after 2 hours of waiting for her vehicle the service manager came by and stated that a service tech quit on Saturday (not our problem) causing a delay. He also stated that the battery was going bad and needed to be replace for 334.95. It is a 2 YEAR old vehicle and needs a battery? She stated that she need to talk to her husband first. Well, they finish at 100 pm 3hours later with no car wash and the old oil sticker remainder left on the windshield. I took the vehicle to 3 difference locations to check the battery they all told me that the battery was GOOD. I wonder how often the equipment is check for accuracy. I spoke to Kevin and he offer to set up a date so the vehicle can be wash and a vehicle inspection. We will think about it but will more likely take a road trip to Corpus to get our vehicle service. read more

I wonder why they bother to advertise bait and switch deals here, going from a 225 Dollars a month offer to 504 ? Waist of time to take the drive........By the way, their inventory is non existent, but understandable after de Hurricane. I was in town visiting family and needed an oil change. I contacted Bert Ogden Kia in Harlingen because it was near to where I was and was told that the service department was only open Monday- Friday so I had to go to the Kia in Mission. I pull up to the service department and wait in my car for about 5 minuets and no one came out. I get out and walk in to see if anyone is working. The lady ask me what I need and I tell her I need an oil change and a tire rotation. I tell her that I got a maintenance package when I purchased my car, she makes a copy of it and said she'll call in. I wait about an hour and a half. I was the only person there so they weren't busy. Then the cashier (different lady) tells me my car is ready. She says it's $70 something and I tell her that that's incorrect and that my oil change should be covered under my maintenance package. She said she has to call it in. I'm thinking why wasn't that don't in the hour and a half that I was waiting for my car. 10 minuets later she comes back and says she got it taken care of. I go out to my car and it's still super dirty and bugs all over (from my drive) I assumed they were going to wash it as they do at my regular dealership that I go to but they didn't and I was never offered a wash but they were quick to over me all these other services that I "needed". Very unsatisfied and will make sure to get an oil change before I head out that way again. read more

Have been a loyal customer for about 3 years. Always had inconvenient hours and days but always tried to take my car to be serviced there. Was turned down one day because was told that there was 1 whole car in front of me. I pointed out there was still 45 minutes left and they told me too bad. Looked service manager in the eye and just walked out. Did not know it took that long for an oil change. I guess they must have been cutting corners for my car in the past 3 years.
