Roughly an hour after picking up a sack from them, we started cleaning and picking out the dead ones... And kept picking out more dead ones. Almost half of the sack was dead. The only thing worse than paying for dead crawfish is HORRIBLE customer service when notifying the seller of the situation. Lexi called Courville's since this is very unlike what we are used to receiving from them. She was told that since it's been over 30 minutes, it's our fault that half of the sack is dead. Lexi explained that the crawfish were kept correctly, asked if she could bring the crawfish back for replacement or refund, and was told no. She let Courville's know we will no longer purchase any crawfish from them and ended the call. After about 10 minutes, Courville's called back because they "didn't want to leave the situation as they did" and offered to give her an extra 10-15 pounds the next time she buys a sack, as a replacement for the dead ones today. Had the conversation of the second call happened during the first call, I probably wouldn't be writing this. I can get over being sold bad product, but I can't get over the horrible customer service Lexi was given.

Tony's is the premier spot for all things from the sea, but Viet's is the place to rock quality Crawfish on the cheap. Every time we've ordered a large crate, it's been nothing but succulent, good sized, juicy crawdads for consumption. Crabmeat lovers, this is your spot as well. I've been lucky to score some quality crab meat in bunches that I've used for anything and everything (crab meat benedict anyone?). I believe jumbo shrimp is also available here but I would recommend calling ahead of time to confirm the rest. Lastly, they're not open late (7pm) and parking is extremely limited.

Owned and operated by a Vietnamese family, they are sweet to most folks but take zero ish from anyone. When things get a little hairy in these parts, they're the first to put their foot down. (#1) The menu is pretty simple: shrimp, crawfish, crabs, available in a seasoned boil or fresh (aka live). Shrimp is a premium and not always available, but the crawfish is dynamite. Wherever they're sourcing them is clearly local, since the crawdads are nice and large and well seasoned throughout. I appreciate the corn, potatoes, and eggs that thrown into the mix. They also offer meat like boudin and/or boiled sausage as well as obscure parts like turkey necks, pig feet, etc. Their food is always excellent. The prices are quite good and they're usually a few dollars off from more popular vendors. They accept credit cards ($10 minimum) but prefer cash. There are a lot of signs regarding food stamps, which is only acceptable for certain items but not for boiled meat.
