I contacted Bertolucci Management regarding the state of the landscaping at my retirement community where I have resided for 10+years. Initially they were very responsive to my concerns, but after sending pictures of the dying and horribly chopped trees and plants, they no longer responded. The landscaping was ignored for several weeks, then resumed with no improvement. There in ONE employee who is responsible for all of the landscaping in a 300+ retirement community. He has had no training in the proper care of trees, shrubs, roses, rhodedendrons, azaleas, perennials, etc. The arborvitae that borders my building are diseased and dying. It's very unsightly. Honestly I am not sure how they have such bad reviews. I have been a tenant with Bertolucci for 7 years (end of this month). I have complained multiple times when bad neighbors have occurred and although they cant just go off my word they have always walked me through the process to make a complaint and get the situation sorted out. I have always heard of places taking FOREVER for maintenance but with everyone of my experiences they get ahold of me within 24 hours and its usually my schedule they are going around. I recently wanted to move and didnt even think twice of applying for another management company or private owner because ive heard horror stories like the ones described in some of these comments but ive NEVER experienced that with Bertolucci management and for that I am grateful. Even now in my new apartment their has been a more difficult situation that I wont go into and up to this point I have had no problem being able to speak to someone about my concerns. Be very, very, careful about documenting stuff on your move-in inspection. Take lots of pictures too. The housekeeping company they use is very lazy, so you have to clean when you move in. Ultimately, no matter how good of a tenant you are or how well you clean, they will find something and withhold some of your deposit. They also won't give you the truth about why the last tenant moved out. Like neighbors from hell, kind of information. I know most landlords/companies are guilty of this behavior though. read more

They charge application fees even if they know the unit has been applied for and is possibly rented, they do not refund it. They will not rent to people that are homeless, I work for an entity that assists people in apartment hunting and they have never rented to our individuals, my coworkers avoid them and tell others it is a waste of time to apply there. So far, 8 years of applying for people with 0 move ins. :( They obviously have some biases. read more

We rented a three-bedroom, two-bath home for Bertolucci Management from Jan 2017 to July 2018 in Keizer. Rent was $1525 - $1575 monthly. (raised $50 after the first year) The first couple of months living in the home, we had to call for several repairs that should have been taken care of previously to renting it out. (showers, plumbing, refrigerator, dishwasher, hot water heater, gap under front door that you could see day light through etc...) All issues were attended to, but we felt that the minimum was done each time, not a thorough, quality work. Somethings we just lived with as it was easier. (broken cabinet, missing vent covers) Living there for more than a year, and tirelessly fighting ants (expected in most rentals) I asked them to come do something, as my over-the-counter remedies were no longer working. They said they wouldn't do anything, but when I got kinda huffy, they said they would come apply over-the-counter products around the outside of the house. I explained that the ants were in the center of the house - in the pantry, to no avail. We paid a $1200 cleaning / security deposit. I left the unit cleaner than it was when I moved in, yet I was charged $150 for cleaning, $210 for carpet cleaning (which they said they charge for carpet cleaning regardless) $120 to clean and replace blinds (none were broken that I know of, except the vertical in the master bedroom, which never worked well sliding) and $255 for wall cleaning, and removal of nails and hooks. (Granted, I did leave up coat hooks, and one bedroom did need some soot cleaned off the walls, but really $255 for that?) Of my $1200 deposit I received $465 back, after paying $400 for a yard service to cleanup the yard, prior to inspection. I netted $65 bucks basically. We broke our lease, as we purchased our own home, knowing it would cost us a lot - and it did. It cost $2300 to break the lease. They charge one-and-a-half times the rent amount. My frustration with this company is the way they treat their tenants. If it is the fist of the month, they are barking for the rent. We always paid on time, and we maintained the property well as tenants. They would not come clean out gutters, or trim trees, which I ended up paying for in the end. They home was not that clean or well maintained when we moved in, but we complained minimally. We never gave them any cause to worry, or grief. We were excellent renters. They were not excellent landlords. I'm just so glad I won't ever have to rent again, especially from Bertolucci. read more

We've been with the same landlord/company for three years, so we're nervous to move and hoping to enjoy our new management as much as we do at our current home. I have been renting from Bertolucci Management for about a year now, and I'm going to rent for another year! They always take care of any needs that are adressed. Maintenance requests are always done promptly. Landscaping is taken care of, and the laundry facility here is always clean. All of the reviews on here seem like issues people have caused themselves and were aware of... which isn't fair to the company to give them 1 Star. They have been an absolute delight, hence the reason I will definitely still be renting from them. read more

Like everyone else says they are pretty unethical in their deposit returns. We received a little over 25% of our deposit back. They had previously purchased the building from our old manager. Not doing a thorough inspection of our apartment before we moved out. Don't get me wrong they did a walk through of our apartment for inspection but did not note certain things like window screen condition or holes in walls. Our old management was terrible at fixing or providing things for us so bertolucci is charging our deposits for things we weren't even provided like window screens. There were old nail holes from previous tenants that the old manager never patched that we are now paying for out of our deposit. They basically want to take as much of your deposit as they can so they can remodel or replace floors at a discounted cost with the help of your deposit. Overall Google and yelp has this company at a 2 star rating, even though they try to do damage control by posting replies to every negative review they don't seem to be sincere. Bertolucci took over management after HOA council member died. three months later neighbor moved in and broke every rule in the HOA guidelines, including loud dogs and noise. 30 complaints later by a 6 different residents met with Bertolucci to be told that it was my fault and I should probably move, and was extremely hostile the whole time. Thought I should tell a supervisor, at Bertolucci, about this behavior. Then found the person I was talking to was a Bertolucci. This company stinks from the top down. Was a nice quiet complex, now turning into a rat hole. People selling like crazy. read more

This company is trash. They raise the rent constantly. Always threaten to evict you for unreasonable causes, when they do inspections they go through your cabinets, take pictures of things that should be of privacy, such as an empty bottle of wine? How are you going to use that against me now? You use BULLY tactics to try and get tenants out. They'll tow your car for no reason as well. Even though the lease states you have one assigned parking spot. I wish i could give them less than one star. Unfortunatley i still live here and i cannot wait to leave these slum lords. The bad: You will NOT get your entire deposit back. This was not brought up until we started going over the contract. You WILL be charged for carpet cleaning. They have a flat rate for it but under no circumstances with the current contract will you receive your entire "deposit" back. There was zero negotiation. They also charge for a blind cleaning fee. Blinds are difficult to clean and gather dust very easily and I believe this is merely a method to get more of your "deposit". I have rented for years and I have never found a contract like this. This is however my first time renting in Oregon (previously rented in Missouri, Arizona, Texas, Utah, and, Washington). From all my previous landlords I was able to get my entire deposit back. To me, a deposit is granted to the manager to ensure that the property will be returned in the same condition as when it was rented and this has been my expereince rent Also, while doing the walk through I was told I would be getting a storage area behind the garage. This turned out not to be the case, it belongs to the landlord. The garage is so small due to that area being blocked off that I cannot fit my Ford Ranger, the smallest pick up truck generally available, inside. I am paying for this rental based on what I saw and that turned out not to be the case. In addition, I have still not received my garage door opener after asking several months ago. This management is awful.. They neglect their housing and the people until you move out then they charge you up the wall for "unit cleaning" "blind cleaning/repair" and "touch up" they took 900 of my $1100 deposit to clean a place that was already clean. They charged a flee treatment fee for my dog, claiming that several people that walked into the house was attacked by them. My dog hasn't had flees since the first month of living there. They double charged me for the blinds cleaning and repair, $121 to clean them $201 for touch up and replacing the blinds. During the tendency my roommate and I was having multiple issues with the housing. The disposal broke, porch light broke the fence was falling apart, there was a random open hole in the wall that was covered by paper towel and an outlet cover. And best of all the heating didn't work.. At all for multiple months. We've called them multiple times about it all year long. The guy that comes out to fix those things told us he didn't know they were broken until the last week if us staying there. They do not care about their renters, they care about the best way to get your money. I promise you they will screw you over, other people have gone through them with the same issues as I. They pretend to be kind until you move in, but every last one of those ladies are rude and straight up disrespectful to you. I recommend finding a different place. Not worth your time. read more

God awful. I moved in prior to them taking over. My unit had primer on the walls, no screens, and no blinds. Evidence of mice and roach infestations and prior damage and it was noted. As well as toxic mold. When I moved I was billed to repair all the walls, paint the walls, replace the screens, blinds, etc. I was charged to remodel the place and charged for mice, roach and mold abatement. My infant was on oxygen the entire time she lived there. My other kids were in and out of the hospital with pneumonia and bacterial bronchitis. We would cough up blood. I had to have furniture taken to the dump because of mice being born in them and what furniture wasn't being dumped due to mice was dumped due to mold. My neighbor and I moved out of two unit duplex at the same time because of the same items. We were both saddled with a $3000 debt because of this crap. read more

A note of warning to all my Salem area peeps who rent: do NOT rent from Bertolucci Management. They are a joke of a company and I will be reporting them to the BBB. Not only did they lead us to believe some lies about who owned the property when we originally rented our townhouse, they also then sought to sell it out from under us. Whilst they had a legal right to give us only 60 days to move, they were shady as hell about how they went about letting us know. And given the current dire housing crisis in the area, their action/inaction was at very least unethical. Now fast forward to today when we FINALLY received our joke of a deposit refund. We left that townhouse immaculately cleaned, with the tiny exception of maybe a dozen or so collectible shot glasses that we accidentally forgot because they were in a little used cabinet. We deep cleaned, and left the place even better than when we moved in. We even left the much nicer shower head that we'd purchased and installed. I should also mention that the things that were noted and requested to be fixed when we moved in such as paint touch ups, an ant problem, etc NEVER happened, even though they were promised by the person who completed that walk through with us. Our refund check today, from the total security deposit amount of $1250? $55 This shit is both laughable and insulting. While we expected not to get it all back because of such things as deep carpet cleaning, their itemized list of charges is complete and utter bullshit. They put back the crappy shower head and charged us $15 for that. The forgotten shot glasses apparently involved some sort of pricy elaborate disposal. And somehow the scuffed walls, etc that predated our tenancy they never fixed as promised now cost us $515. And other cleaning that amounted to over $365. What cleaning, I can't possibly imagine. We were fantastic tenants, a fact which was even conveyed to each of us separately at least once by this "business." We always pay on time, never have any noise or any other complaints, and were more than understanding with the GLACIAL pace of any maintenance request. At this point, we can't help but imagine perhaps there is some other reason they're being so completely ridiculous and unreasonable. Just a thought. This "mgmt" company does nothing to maintain the property. I live next door to one of theirs, and the trees, shrubs, are all way out of control and need to be trimmed. It is true and disappointing that you will get overcharge and they take most of your security deposit after you move out. I was renting an apartment as a commuter and I kept the apartment clean but I only got 50% of my deposit. I wish someone would do something about this as a lot of former tenants are angry and frustrated. If you are future tenants heed this warning. I live in the church street cottages and the insulation in the house is TERRIBLE. We had to get a dehumidifier because the fan from the shower doesn't do it's job and the house can't breathe properly even with all the windows open. We had extensive mold behind our dresser, bed, couch, and on our cat tree. We had to throw away some of our personal items because things had mold on them. I thought the dehumidifier would help, but I'm still finding mold behind the sink and in back of the cabinets where they touch the exterior walls. Bertolucci has done next to nothing to fix it. They came out to inspect our house ONCE after I sent them 3 emails with pictures and called them. The first time they made an appointment to come out, they were a no-show no-call even though I stayed home to meet them. The next time they looked under the sink and said "looks fine just a small leak" and left. I asked them to check the attic access space, behind the water heater in the cabinet, and cabinets in the kitchen. They haven't been out since. $850 a month is so not worth it especially since we're paying over $100 a month in electricity just for the dehumidifier. Do not rent here. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. We had a bunch of trouble with their management team, especially Norma. Example, one morning she woke my boyfriend and I up by pounding on our door and continuously knocking telling us we need to move my bf car ASAP or we would be fined. This was about 7:30am. The situation, there are 10 spots that are numbered. One for each apartment. All other empty spots were free to whomever. Norma claimed the spot my bf was parked in was a management parking spot only. As you can imagine we were furious by how she woke us up and how we were told to move. We both walked out there and told her look at the spot. No management signs, no markings no nothing claiming this spot is management ONLY. She told us it was known to everyone in this complex it was management parking (obviously not since we parked there) after norma left i called their office asking to speak to any other manager, boss or owner because of her attitude. I was able to talk to someone but they needed to hear her side of the story and told we would get a phone call back. Never received a phone call back. I even sent an e-mail with pictures of proof that there is nothing in our lease or any signs posted for her to ask for us to move. THEY NEVER RESPONDED or did we hear back. That is just one example but I have several more I could share. They charge 60 dollars any time there is a maintenance call put in. Even if it was something out of your control. Example our apartment and several others had sewage coming up in our bathtub. 60 dollars was charged to everyone one who had that issue. Thankfully another management property took over our complex. We no longer have to deal with bertolucci and no longer have any issues plus no maintenance charges. If you decide to go with them because their rent seems cheap I sure hope they treat you better than they treated us. Please keep in mind when renting from them to not expect your deposit back. read more

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY... The other "not recommended" reviews I'm pretty sure have been hidden by bertolucci to make themselves look better. Do not trust them. They are not only rude and unprofessional but they will find any way to screw you over. We rented from them on a 1 year lease. When we moved in there were dead roaches and spiders. It was dusty and not properly cleaned. The fridge did not work and we had all our food go bad. We had to wait days to get a replacement. The stove went out twice. A few months into our move in we started seeing live roaches. Upon investigating the unit further we found out how infested it used to be. Of course management and the owners were aware of this and failed to tell us. There we roach feces caked on all in between the cabinet doors in the kitchen and bathrooms. Dead roaches in the microwave, under the microwave, in the stove, in the light fixtures, inside the cabinets, you name it... We contacted Bertolucci several times about this. Lisa was the one who told me that I just had to clean this myself and that after move in that was our responsibility and they had no obligation to clean it. I tried cleaning it and no matter how much i cleaned, the old roach poop and carcasses would fall into my dishes, toothbrushes, anything in the cabinets. The microwave was full of dead roaches and yet they refused to replace it. They never did anything about it and we had to live in very unsanitary conditions for a year! If that wasn't enough we had very dirty and trashy neighbors that would not only throw trash onto our yard and the rest of the complex, they destroyed property, they would get right in front of us on purpose as we would try and park into our driveway, the kids had no supervision for hours, it was extremely noisy, they would constantly hit our cars with the ball, just to name a few. Contacted management about this several times and again they just ignored it and nothing changed. Upon move out we cleaned the unit and left it in way better condition than we received it in. We washed the carpet even though we knew we had to pay a carpet cleaning fee but we were not aware of how much the fee was since they don't have a set price. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the unit, but of course they have to find something wrong with it so they can keep the deposit for themselves. Daniella checked the unit and the things she wrote down on the repair list were: dusty screens, dirty behind the toilet, dusty blinds, face of cabinets were rough and those are just a few. ... So we waited for our deposit to hopefully be returned to us. When we received the paper stating the final accounting we were in shock. We were being charged $180 for carpet cleaning (even though it was clean), cleaning fee $50(which is illegal in Oregon to charge a general cleaning fee), blind cleaning $50, and about $130 for repairs. Out of our $800 deposit they were taking more than half! They added more damages to the list even after the walk through. We were charged for touch up paint even though that is wear and tear. We went in to the office to talk to them and they acted like they were doing us a favor by adjusting the deposit amount. We were told that the repair men are being paid $40 an hour which of course that's what we paid to get repairs done that were not legitimate. Please don't get mixed up with these people. They are a family business and they are all the same shady kind of people just looking out to scam you. They will act nice and friendly just to hook you in and later you will realize what you are dealing with.. Specially Lisa. read more

Bertolucci Management has been very responsive to my needs. I had to find an apartment on a short timeline while living in a different state and they could not have been more helpful. They did everything remotely which other management companies were not not capable of. When I moved in, they sent a repairman in the next week to deal with minor issues. And as a tenant, they have been consistently responsive to any issues I've had. I've rented in a lot of major cities and so far I have no complaints with the management. I also don't understand the negative reviews because they don't comport with the experience I've had. read more

I have been renting my apartment from them for 10 months now, and have had almost no trouble whatsoever. They were prompt with the one service call I've had, let me set up auto pay for rent, and the apartment was given to me in reasonably good condition. If 0 stars was an option they would have it. This company is the worse. We had numerous issues with Bertolucci while staying at a property they managed, however the check out was the worse thing. When we did the checkout, Bertolucci sent a "untrained person" to do the checkout. This individual refused to answer any questions we had and said we would receive a final report even though Oregon law states " A landlord does a final inspection after the tenant has left, and the tenant may have a right to be present at this inspection. The landlord should identify all damage and cleaning that he or she believes the tenant is obligated to pay for, and the tenant can discuss the reasonableness of any proposed deductions.". Bertolucci said that they were not required to inform us of any repairs we needed to do, but they were allowed to charge us. Once we received our deposit back, Bertolucci held $340.00, and when questioned they said it was itemized as Blind Cleaning, Unit Cleaning, and Carpet Cleaning. The unit was cleaned and the owner of the property was happy with the way it was, yet Bertolucci charged us. They refuse to give any more details as what areas needed cleaning. I will note the carpet cleaning fee was in the original lease and expected, the other fees were not. I urge anyone looking at their properties to look elsewhere and heed the reviews. They will try to get you with frivolous fees over your stay and the people doing the work are not qualified as was admitted several times by Lisa their Office Manager. read more

We have fewer vacancies and less time in between tenant than when I would try to manage myself. Our tenants are treated professionally, accurately and considerately. my family is going threw a rough situation and after explaining that we had the means to pay the bills and all the deposits we were lead to believe that all we needed to do was fill out the app we were over charged for our app fees and they knew we were "living" in a hotel we called and asked when we would hear back and they told us monday so we waiting threw the weekend not looking at other places because they made it seem like this was going to happen so then chose to deny us based on our credit score and didn't bother to call and inform us instead sent us a letter to our previous address where we no longer live to tell us we were denied after we sat around all day being very unproductive thinking we would be moving at some point today but now we are more or less homeless with the ability to pay rent but are denied because our credit scores are low what kind of a heartless world do we live in anymore read more

If I could give 0 stars for this review I would. However, we will give a 1 star for the following review of our experience with Bertolucci Management. After renting from Bertolucci Management for 2 years and leaving the house and yard in better condition than when we moved in, we found out what the company is really like. The rumors we heard turned out to be true. Upon move out, we had the house professionally cleaned for $1000 dollars which included a thorough cleaning and touch up paint. We didn't tell Bertolucci Management that we did this. We thoroughly and meticulously completed the entire move out checklist provided to us by Bertolucci Management as we had a $1800 deposit at stake. We did a final walk through with Bertolucci Management and only a couple of very small repair items were mentioned which were legitimate (but not expensive) which included refrigerator drawer repair and minor blind repair. No mention was made about our $1800 deposit not being returned to us. We were shocked when we received a letter from Bertolucci Management telling us that not only would we not get our $1800 deposit back but were also being charged an ADDITIONAL $950 in repair cost and yard maintenance fees. The itemized list of repair cost they were billing us for was completely bogus and included blind cleaning, yard and debris cleanup, vinyl repair (which we asked them to fix for 2 years but they wouldn't do it) and even touch up paint and other bogus charges. We took pictures of how we left the house and property as proof of the condition we left it in. We drove by the house to see what improvements had been made to the house after move out. What we found was upgrades they failed to do for us when we moved into the unit such as bush and tree trimming, moss removal from roof & gutter cleaning...none of which was listed on our move out list). It is clear that these charges were bogus fees to pay for their upgrades to this house and property. Like most people we were determined to take Bertolucci Management to small claims court as we felt totally taken advantage of. We sent them a letter disputing these charges and less then a month later Bertolucci Management had turned us over to collections. We paid the bogus fees but know that such business practices will not bode well for the future of this company and we write this review in hopes of warning you to avoid using Bertolucci Management services at all costs. read more

They threatened to evict me for not having green grass, and took my entire deposit of $900 after I spent two days of cleaning, including a professional carpet cleaner. I hired this company to perform some remodel work for me, and it was by far the worst experience I have ever had ,and ive worked with dozens of contractors. The owner whos name is Dan does terrible work, and is completely unprofessional, him and his daughter lisa who helps him to run thing in the office were caught privately talking about how they were going to be overcharging me and making a lot of money because they were using inferior materials, and unqualified help.. They were hard to talk too, and get ahold of and never once made me feel like I had done th right thing in hiring them.. The staff was nice, when I had a problem with my heating they took care of it within 3 days, witch that is good.The walk through that we did on move in was different, This is my first time renting, I did not know that we had to check all the lights for light bulbs,or check the toilet very closely, and make sure that the blinds were cleaned. I did learn a lot this go round.They did tell me about the carpet cleaning, and they did tell me that if some plumbing problem did arise that if it was my neglect they would charge me an hourly rate. The sink in the kitchen was clogged I unclogged it my self and had to replace the U joint because it had a crack in it and some one put clear glue or something on it. I did not mind having to do that, but when they charge me $125.00 for cleaning, and we spent 2 whole days cleaning and doing the blinds that is to much,and charging $50.00 for light bulbs when I did not check them and did not use them I used my night lights.The first night I had to replace the battery for the fire alarm and carbon dioxide detector and a burnt bulb in the kitchen.I was never told that they would charge me for missing or burnt bulbs. How can they charge me Water and Sewer when I had a deposit with the city, and they took my last bill out of it to the day I moved out on the 27. We have been renting from Bertolucci for a few years now and live in a run-down apartment complex that is in need of serious help/improvements both outside and inside of the units. All of the apartments have "yearly inspections" that are a complete joke. They walk in your home and write down things that are wrong and then do NOTHING to make them right. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME ON EVERYONE'S PART!! (FYI... you will be charged for said un-fixed problems upon move out.) Current as well as past tenants have fought numerous issues: Stoves/ovens that will shock you or even catch on fire, refrigerators that stop working and replacements that are taken from one apartment to another and NEVER changed out with new ones, wall heaters that either don't work or are a total fire hazard, light fixtures that get so hot they melt the metal part of the light bulbs, plug-ins that shock you because they have been shorted out and never repaired or replaced, bathroom fans that don't work, water fixtures that leak, OLD water heaters that provide you with rusty water and when they go out are replaced with used, black mold that has made a multitude of people very ill, softened walls due to leaks from other apartments and/or broken rain gutters that spew water into your walls and into your home as well as outside faucets that leak into your walls, new tenants that are disrespectful of others, gang violence, drugs, domestic violence, etc....... We could go on and on. There is NOT an on-site manager available which makes living here even more unbearable. Simple repairs you are better off to take care of on your own because if you call the office to set up a fix-it request, it can and will take anywhere from 2 days to 6 weeks plus, to get your problem resolved - even after repeat requests are made. And, don't plan on getting reimbursed for anything that you do to improve your home because you get tired of waiting for them to respond to your request. They do not care that someone may work nights and have to sleep during the day - they will put families with young children in upstairs units above you. When you call to complain about unruly neighbors, the office staff will tell you to "put your complaint in writing". There is a specific tenant, in our complex, that is both using AND dealing meth. The traffic in and out of our parking lot is ridiculous. We have seen children almost run over because of the way the "customers" pull in and out of here. Numerous complaints have been made to the manager, both verbal and in writing as well as to the police, and the doper/past convicted felon, is still living among us. Most complaints of ANY kind are NOT dealt with accordingly. The parking lot is full of tenant and visitor parking yet nothing is marked. Tenant spaces are often taken by new residents and/or guests and complaints fall on deaf ears. We have asked to have the parking lot re-striped and apartment numbers and visitor markers added to spaces but it has not happened. A certain tenant has a multitude of family members sub-letting their space and that alone has added an additional 4-6 cars to our parking lot, depending on the day of the week. It's not uncommon to come home from a long day/night at work to find your dedicated spot being used by another vehicle and we are left to fend for ourselves. The office staff treat you like you are the scum of the earth. They talk down to you, if at all. Not one time have we had a "friendly" experience. Most times we have visited the office, we have walked in to the receptionist being on a personal cell phone call and have been made to wait until they are done. Then they act like you have totally disrupted their day because they have to wait on you. They have told new tenants that they are "cleaning house" and getting rid of the problematic tenants. This last week, we saw the Sheriff Dept. issue no-cause eviction notices to 3 different apartments - all 3 apartments are current on rent but have lived here for a lot longer than most - 2 of the apartments are either on fixed incomes or housing and cannot afford to move, whether they want to or not. The managers are on a rampage to get the older apartments brought up to date which will mean more rent can be charged. In other words, out with the old and in with the new..... Don't get us wrong....... the rent is cheap. However, renting from slumlords is NOT OK and NOT worth the low rent. If you choose to rent from this company, be prepared for a total let down. I would do my homework and go on-site to where you are looking to live and talk to the tenants first hand. You just might save yourself a lot of headache and frustration. Good Luck! read more

Don't expect your deposit back. Was renting an apartment from them and was only there for a little over 4 months. They took all my deposit but a $100. I left that apartment in the exact same way as I received it. Heck! I didn't even put one picture on the wall and they charged me for patching walls and touch ups. I was a single guy with no animals and kept a very clean apartment. Ways they scam u: blind clean $50, carpet cleaning $50 (this didn't bother me even though I cleaned them myself), unit cleaning $75 huh? The place was cleaner than when I moved in. I wiped down everything including windows and window frames and also ever cupboard, sinks, stove, refrigerator, etc... In fact Drew even said wow looks really good. Of course Drew I was there for 4 MONTHS!!. By the way the 5 star review I betcha is none other than The Drew that works there lol. I would give them a zero, but it's not offered. Went to court over the security deposit issues. Won my case only it is such a small crumb but all the same won .they now have a court record as a company.Took almost 1000.00 from us, we cleaned and had photos. It didnt matter in court. They were not honest in court. In court you can sure see the real character of a person. If they are willing to lie for money. Then i see the shallowness of them.We dont always get justice, but we do reep what we sow. Our origional management company we rented through was crown, really good company. The owner for whatever reason switched to this company.When i lived in my apartment maintance at times was difficult to get done. Repeatedly calling for maintance nothing like feeling ignored.The experience my family went through with the refund and final accounting. I have never experienced this type of behavior. That tells me its just this company. Why would an owner be so hard up to bring in this management company. I will never know or understand. I would highly recommend anyone to never rent through them.they might do well, as a construction company, unknown if they do or not. They will go to any length for money so, please be careful.Companies typically dont behave in this fashion.rude and cold as a management company. Be careful you have been warned to stay away from them. This could be your future story if you decide to rent with them.
