My mom and I decided to try going for a foot massage at Big Feet in North Vancouver. They're a…read morechain store with many different locations throughout Greater Vancouver. Their massages are based on the principles or reflexology and acupressure.  Prepare to grit your teeth if you come for a massage here. They have very strong hands and apply very strong pressure. I was wearing my face mask and aside from just trying to stay healthy...I was kinda glad to have my face mask on so that nobody could see me scrunching up my face in pain while they were massaging my feet! I like strong massages though. I kinda tend to think that the more pressure they apply...even though it might be painful in the moment, it's probably doing more good for me in the long run. So...would I go back to Big Feet? Yes. Even though it was actually kinda painful and hard to tolerate...I'd go back.  The staff were all chinese and it didn't seem like they knew much English, so...go for the massage only, and don't expect any conversation while you're there. If they do happen to start chatting with you then....all the better!

Had the most horrible body massage today. I was in a double room with only a curtain dividing us…read moreand the man in the next room was moaning during his session. My therapist was terrible as well. She asked if I wanted an hour session instead of 50 mins so I agreed yes and then the massage was just awful. She spent so much time on my backside and legs pressing with her elbows and then I finally asked if she could use oil and do my back and neck. The guy doing the massage next to me had to tell her in her language I am assuming to use oil. She proceeded to dump so much oil on me and barely massaged my back and neck. Honestly the weirdest and worst massage I have ever had. When she told me I was done I looked at the clock at it was 50 mins and not the hour we had discussed. Think there was definitely a language barrier there. Would not recommend! My husband however had a foot massage and loved it. My girlfriend also had one at the same time and said hers was rough and terrible.

This 'artsy' foyer ( entrance ) with 30 ft black ceilings and 90s painted over black plastic plumbing was empty when I arrived for the 1 hour $89 plus tax massage, which began with having both my swollen left and bulging bluish purple veins of my right foot squeezed into a small plastic bowl lined with a plastic bag of warm water and ' Meghan ' suddenly Telling me , " you are very loud ! This 'oasis' foot website isn't working properly either and it didn't accept the happyhour20 discount I will not return to this place of 'bu$ine$S' that overcharges $200 - $300 for ' Swedish massages' that are apparently light touch 'massages' with clothes on.

I've been a customer for years even before them moving to this location…read more New location is beautifully lit, minimally decorated with clean lines and finishes. I like deep tissue sports massage and that's what I come in for. Joey and Bill are awesome, they've always recommended me the style of therapy I need genuinely when I've asked. Street parking is available. They take debit and cash, (not sure about credit cards). About tipping, they are a Spa and not a Medical Center. It's pretty standard everywhere for how they operate is to tip like a salon/ resteraunt etc...minimum $10 an hour.Ex: 1.5 hour, minimum $15 and so on. Bring cash for tips. So to those who are surprised about tipping culture, this lesson is for you. I've had my favourite massage therapist remedy my tired shoulders, golf elbows, etc.. To those who find the acupressure too strong but still want to finish your session, tell your massage therapist to use oil for the remainder time (that is more Swedish in style). Relax on!

It was supposed to be a hot stone massage and I was charged extra, but she barely used them. I believe she was trying but potentially trying too hard. I felt less relaxed than before it started sadly.

I have allergies so I was very encouraged to hear his conditions got a lot better from his frequent visits to Saltwonder. He also informed me how down to earth and nice the owner Naculae is so I was curious. I took one of my best friend Stan who lives not too far from his shop for a one hour treatment, and was blown away by the wonderful grounding experience. My friend was so relaxed he started to snore a bit, I went into my own meditation. An hour went by very quickly, and I noticed my nose was no longer plucked when our session was done and my breathing was way easier. The place is extremely clean and beautiful, and floor to ceiling covered in Himalayan Salt which Naculae educated us on it's incredible healing properties. The main room floor was covered in small Himalayan salt as well. It was an incredibly healing experience, physically, emotionally, spiritually. I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in trying come and visit and experience it yourself. My friend loved the experience, it was my Birthday gift to him. He was pleasantly surprised by it, since it's not something he would do on his own. I am looking forward to attending sound healing events there as well as getting a massage there next time!
