Mitzi returned from her 5 week stay in excellent shape, happy to be home but healthy and not stressed at all. The staff at Wagsworth gave her any meds she needed, as requested, and fed her the food we'd provided, since she ha a sensitive stomach. we'd asked that she have daily group playtime and a weekly visit to the swimming pool, which she loves. Our pup came home and immediately fell back into her old routines, as though she'd never been away. Wagsworth really helped all of us. In the past, some dogs have returned from other boarding experiences, at other places, absolutely traumatized but thus was clearly not Mitzi's experience. Thanks, Wagsworth!

It was extremely difficult to get through to anyone when calling to check on our dogs. When making my reservation, I was told there would be communication about how our dogs were doing. This has not happened, so we tried to call, but the phones are not answered. I received no response to my voicemail or emails while I was traveling. The report cards that we received were duplicates even though our dogs have very different personalities. One of our dogs came home not feeling well, although his report card said he was "rambunctious". I hesitated before writing this very honest review because I may give the resort one additional opportunity to change my perspective. I have attached a copy of each duplicated report card that was received for my dogs as well as the email that was left without a response. Consideration should really be given to the offerings that are promised if there is not capacity to provide quality results/products.

It is so traumatic for an animal to be rescued, adapted to new surroundings, and vetted. Then after the animal is brought on board to MLAR, getting them adopted out is yet another stressor for the pet. Having an animal returned, or worse, turned out, because the new pet was not properly placed in NOT in the pet's best interest. These folks do their best to ensure the placement will be a success. Our little baby came to us after being rescued and cared for by MLAR. We are forever grateful.

A DogSports employee told our vet office that Binx had been unable to settle himself all day. Binx was there 8 hours that day, had noted crate anxiety, employees were aware he was in distress, and NO ONE CALLED until he has passed away. He was found in his crate dead, with vomit and diarrhea. Other PUBLIC information, the owner of the DogSports, Joanne Reaney, was charged with 35 counts of theft for allegedly embezzling $517k from her employer years ago. I'm not an attorney, but the court of common pleas document looks like an agreement was made for payback to potentially avoid the felony charge/jail time (PA criminal law Rule 586). In addition, more PUBLIC information, there is an open state tax lien on the business and there appears to be more than 10 open civil cases (with monetary judgments of over $100k due). It also appears that the owner lives over an hour away, out of state.
