We were finally sat for a table, the server didn't acknowledge our table. When the server came, never introduce herself, acted like we were a burden to even be in the restaurant. She took drink orders, didn't let us order milk or cream for coffee. Brought the drinks never took out, proceeds to take order for other tables. It felt like regulars the knew were prioritized, over other tables. We walked out after 45 minutes. When we went to pay for the drinks we didn't consume. We find out the server never even made a ticket making checking out difficult. We were really excited to try this restaurant,the menu looked great. It came highly recommended, but with this experience we can't really recommend this to anyone.

My dining partner had the BLT that has what looked to be homemade chips as the side. I went with the burger- which comes with steak fries. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't special in any way either. We had sodas and the bill was less than $30, so it's a relatively inexpensive lunch. If you are going out with your parents or grandparents this might be a solid choice. Hopefully they can work out the counter service. For the length of wait I needed the baked goods to be exceptional. They weren't. The lemon raspberry scone didn't really have any discernible raspberries. If it was called a lemon scone it would have been more fitting. It's a typical scone by our standards which means pretty dense without an airy texture. The blueberry muffin was not special. It was just a run of the mill muffin. There are bake shops in town that call to me-sadly this is not one of them.

It's so cute and cozy. I know this building is so so old to Springfield so it's cool to see how they've used the space. I have not tried anything on the menu yet, I usually go to write and it provides the perfect scene. My only downside is because the building is so old it is always incredibly cold in the cooler months.
