Sunday is my eat out day, and I picked up my aunt, drove to troy. Found d some street parking, went to the order kiosk and placed my order based on what I could eat and recommendations from the employee at the register. I chose, lunch combo with chicken and chicken teriyaki plate. May be, just the chicken was overcooked and a little fibery, besides that, it was very flavorful. I do have a couple more options to try, with me enjoying the food, definitely makes it an option for a revisit. If you live pork and beef, you definitely have more options. We ordered the following for takeout at the bespoke bowl: Korean Fried Chicken Wings- Moist wings were still crispy even after transferring them home in the containers. Spam Musubi - The spam had a nice savory flavor slightly salty went well with the rice. The seaweed had a slight fishy taste that was pleasant with the dish. Bulgogi Kimchi Burrito with beef (2 Burritos) We might eat this there next time it was falling apart in the container the wax paper was sticking to it. The flavor was really good though. Slight amount of spice nice vegetable crunch tasty marinated beef. Side of french fries were kind of tasty nothing special. Nashville Hot Chicken Sando Combo came with two sandwiches we asked for 1 mild and one regular. The first chicken sandwich was a little dry it might've been the mild flavor, it was all right. The medium chicken sandwich had a little bit more spice than the mild same so so flavor a little dry also. Spicy Pork Bowl with SPICY MAYO. This had a nice flavor, a little bit sweet and a good amount of spice. The sauce was sweeter than I like. We wanted to try a nice variety since we had never been there and have been wanting to try the place for a while. All in all we found the food to be pretty good, not sure if we would order any of these items again though since we felt nothing knocked our socks off. We would like to try the poke bowl next. If you are ordering for pick up be careful about where you order it. Make sure you go to bespoke bowl's website. Important sidenote when ordering takeout here: We ended up going through what we thought was their website and it was some third-party site that was selling this restaurants food and we ended up paying between 12 and $15 more for our order. I love this place but it's really falling off for me. Every time I get a poke bowl it's DROWNED in sauce. All I want is a good drizzle of spicy mayo, 3 table spoons worth of mayo is just excessive. Then when I ask for just a little less I get barely any sauce. Foods not bad or anything, but this has been a theme for the last 5 visits I've had. Korean-fusion. You'll find it at Bespoki Bowl. This is casual dining. It operates much like a fast food joint. You place your order at the counter and wait for your number to be called. I ordered bulgogi (bbq beef) tacos. They were slightly spicy and awesome. My husband ordered the spicy pork bowl with spicy mayo. He thought it was great. The orders are substantial. I would have been happy with two tacos, but three came with my order. So I left very full. The restaurant does a brisk takeout business at lunchtime. We saw a lot of people coming in to pick up their food orders. There is indoor dining, but it's nothing fancy. There are several tables. Basic seating. Ironically, we almost left without ordering because the man working behind the counter was very busy filling takeout orders. We waited a few minutes before he was able to assist us. That was strange since we could clearly see three people inside the open kitchen-- two young men and one young woman--who were standing around doing absolutely nothing. The young woman appeared to be looking at a mobile device. They never left the kitchen. Instead, the guy behind the counter packed up the orders he was working on and came to take our orders. He turned out to be very nice and quite efficient. I would have given this place five stars if it didn't appear to be poorly managed. Why was there one hardworking person on staff when there were four people who were supposedly on the job? Some of the table tops needed cleaning. Why weren't the kitchen workers on it? Perhaps that's why the takeout service was so busy. Who wants to sit at a dirty table? Most of the customers appeared to be college age. Please open a Poke place in Saratoga!! PLEASE??? I happened to have a hockey game in Troy last night and Bespoki Bowl has been on my radar for some time now. I'm a big poke fan and I'm excited to see that some options are popping up in this neck of the woods. This is a casual, go up to the counter, order your food and either take it out or sit wherever you want to wolf it down kinda place. It wasn't busy when we first arrived...but there were a couple of waves of folks coming in after we started eating. It was maybe an hour before closing, so they were out of a few things (avocado, spicy salmon and some other stuff that I can't recall). That's ok...there was plenty to choose from. My bowl was all kinds of decked out...and I swear it weighed about 5 pounds. The fish chunks (I chose tuna, salmon and yellowtail in a ponzu sauce) were much bigger than other poke places that I've visited and there seriously was a ton of fish in there. I piled on lots of other stuff and chose rice as my base since I was starving. We also ordered one of the bao buns and it was pretty good. I'd definitely be back to try more poke or some of the other menu items (rice bowls, bulgogi...and in warmer weather...hawaiian shaved ice). The young man behind the counter was friendly and accommodating - especially when we were asking questions about a specific dietary restriction. My only concern is that I wonder how this place functions when it gets really busy. There was one takeout order waiting for his food and we were the only other customers...and it took a bit longer to prepare than it should have. Troy you keep pumping out the hits. Each neighborhood of our beloved Capital Region can claim to be the best but lately I find myself more impressed by the variety and gusto of Troy. Another champion Yelper that I know had been saying this for years :) Bespoki Bowl has brought the cuisine of the Island of Hawaii to the area and I couldn't be more excited about that. Have I ever been to Hawaii? No. It's culinary delights have been covered extensively on television though and every time my mouth is watering. During my visit I tried the build your own poke bowl. I went with three proteins: raw tuna, crab salad and salmon. I asked for a mix of rice and greens, all the add ons and ponzu sauce. It was a flavor explosion. So fresh. Just what the doctor ordered. They have some bowls and plates which offer beef, chicken and pork for those of you can't do raw fish. They also do some fusion dishes as well. One which I simply had to order. They had Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders cooked in the Korean Style. They were the bomb! They came with a spicy sauce and cole slaw. They were in no way authentic Nashville Hot but they were very crispy and juicy. Let's just say I will be back and soon. This place is a hidden gem for sure. Next time I will take pictures. We are trying to order takeout at least once a week during this unprecedented time. We want to support local businesses while in quarantine. We were enticed by the variety of choices. My oldest son and I both went for Poke Bowls. His large mine regular. He had tuna, salmon and crab salad whereas I had a regular size with tuna and crab. They fish tastes fresh if not a huge portion as other reviewers have said. I did love the flavor of the crab salad and the accompanying seaweed salad. Other vegetables, rice and topping in my bowl were all tasty enough. I also had a bowl of Kitsune Udon with fish cakes, seaweed, and scallions. A warm comforting bowl I have some left over for tomorrow's lunch. My husband ordered the Bulgogi Bowl and Spam Musubi. He enjoyed the sweet heat of the Bulgogi Beef although again not the biggest portion. The Spam Musubi was a big hit! I tried a piece against my better judgement and let me tell you I am craving more already!! My younger son had Korean Pork BBQ with a fried egg and a side of Pork Gyoza and salad. I tasted a bite and enjoyed the sweet heat that was maybe a tad spicier than the Bulgogi. The salad was nothing special but he enjoyed the small gyoza. What a disappointment!!! We are used to go to Poke Bar and we wanted to try a new one. OMG! 1/ the quantities are ridiculous / the bowl is half-full, they are not even generous with the rice!! 2/ the fish is supposed to be fresh and tasty. If it seemed fresh it was absolutely tasteless!!! I couldn't make the difference between the salmon and the tuna!!! 3/ their sesame sauce is very strong (as we could expect from a sesame sauce) but the guy put way toooooo much sauce and the bowl was just impossible to finish as we felt disgusted after some bites. They are less expensive than Poke Bar but that is definitely not worth it. First time and last time for me, period! read more

Let me start by saying that I'm a poke bowl addict, but by no means a connoisseur. Since the start of the craze (~2 years ago) I've sampled poke in NYC, CA, and HI. Surprisingly, Bespoki Bowl manages to hold its own against some stiff competition. Food: For $11, you get 2 types of protein, choice of rice/greens/half & half, any mixture of sauces, and all the toppings you want (minus avocado b/c avo is always extra $). The salmon here is fresh and not fishy, which is a must when you're ordering raw fish in an inland city. I usually get half greens and half rice since it seems like this is a larger portion than rice alone. One bowl is typically enough to fill me up, but I have friends with larger appetites who insist that the bowl leaves them wanting more. Service/Ambiance: Bespoki Bowl is located inside Troy Kitchen, a "luxury foodcourt." Basically this means that Bespoki Bowl is one of 5(?) counters that make up Troy Kitchen. The only time that I've found this to be a little weird was when the boyfriend and I went for a late lunch (around 2pm) on a Sunday. The food court was essentially empty and I felt like staff members working the multiple food stands were all staring at us as we walked in and perused the overhead menus. I've been to other "food courts" in CA with similar layouts and have never felt like goldfish in a bowl, so perhaps the lack of other patrons was the issue. Compared to other poke places too, this is the best bang for your buck. My go-to is the two protein bowl with rice, crab salad, shrimp, yuzu ponzu, sesame, cucumbers, corn, garlic crisps, seaweed flakes, masago, edamame, and wherever else the unlimited toppings take me! Hands down love this place for their spicy pork bowl and bulgolgi. The spicy pork has their own twist with the spicy sauce they add and it's the best I've gotten around the area. For this and their outstanding and friendly service, they get their stars. Prices are good for what you get (minus the poke bowls.) Although their name indicates their selling point as "poki" (poke) bowls, I wasn't a fan. Plus side is that theit fish is fresh. Otherwise... the rice wasn't the right consistency. They have rather limited toppings. Their portions are smaller and leave me unsatisfied. With their new competitor in Albany, they'll fall behind on this market if they don't up their game. Their ambience still feels a little hospital like so I don't typically like eating in. I think its due to how bleak the walls and floors are and how spacious it is. I must be a glutton because I'll always say yes to all the add-ons, and so should you. Bespoki Bowl does an excellent job with your standard poke. Their fish is super fresh and their ponzu marinade is great - light and citric. I've tried the gluten-free ponzu and its right there with the regular one, just a little less umami. My go-to is salmon, tuna, and yellow-tail, personal preference. Their tofu is a great option too - full of marinade flavor. The base of the bowls are either rice, salad, or both. Their rice is your basic sushi rice done well and salad is chopped romaine hearts. Go both. Choose your dressing: I rotate around spicy mayo and sesame dressing. You can choose up to two, but I heavily suggest not doing that; you lose clarity in that. And finally, my personal favorite part of Bespoke Bowl's bowls, the add-ons. I always order it fully-loaded. More variety in each bite and more fun to boot. I encourage you to do the same. Now Bespoki Bowl does have other options for food, mostly with a Korean focus. I've had the Bulgogi Bowl and was fairly unimpressed; kind of bland, but good quality beef. The space itself its a little bare-bones. I feel they could add some unique funkiness to the restaurant, but their focus on food is understandable. Came here for dinner on a Saturday after looking around for things to eat. My friend got a chicken plate and I got a Bespoki Bowl (2 proteins). The chicken wasn't bad, just a little dry but can't expect too much from teriyaki chicken. The bowl was decent since you can put all the extra toppings on it with no additional cost, except if you want avocado which was an extra $1. Overall, satisfied with the food, but it was a bit overpriced for a poke bowl that was a bit stingy on the protein. I decided to double up on the salmon (all time fave!) hoping the previous reviews weren't true about them being stingy regarding the serving size, but it was proven to be true. For $12, it's a little steep when only a little less than a handful of fish is served. I frequent poke places a lot and for the same price, the serving of the protein is a bit more.
