We bought a Groupon for air duct cleaning by this company. The day before they were due to come out, they called to ask whether this was a first-time cleaning or a maintenance cleaning. When I said "first time cleaning" they immediately said that the Groupon did not apply for that. Nothing in the deal description mentioned anything about "first time" or "maintenance" cleaning. We're trying to get this resolved but they are not returning phone calls or emails. Complaint filed with BBB. They need to honor the Groupon or refund our money. Instead they are ignoring us. If I could rate this company a zero I would in a heartbeat. I purchased the service off of Groupon and to say that the groupon was misleading is an understatement. I was at work and my girlfriend was at the house when they got there (keep in mind it took six months for them to be able to get there because they were over booked). They tried to upcharge my girlfriend $250 immediately upon getting there. I told her to put me on the phone and spoke with the guy myself. He said that he would have the manager call me and that he would just start on the service. I received a text from my girlfriend 10 minutes later that the people had left. I never received a call from the manager. They didn't do all vents in the house. All they did was the main floor. It was a pathetic attempt to say the least. I received a call from the customer service representative that told me that the package I received was for a "Air Duct Cleaning with deodorizing treatment" and it was not a "Air Duct DEEP Cleaning with deodorizing treatment" and that is where the additional $250 was coming from. They then told me that if I wanted, they could come back out a week later and explain it to me professionally and also blamed Groupon for the posting to be misleading. The rep bragged about their ratings on review sites. I am guessing that this is taken down soon and deleted by the company. But if I can just save one person's time, money and efforts to better their home with this post I am more than happy to do it. BEWARE THEY DAMAGED MY HOME AND WON'TCALL ME BACK!!! Hired them to clean our vents. When they damaged our home they didn't even have the decency to let us know. My daughter found it when she took out the garbage cans to the street. This is for a vent yhey weren't even supposed to do! They thought it was the dryer vent. They didn't even ask and the where the dryer vent was. These were high on the side of my house and the dryer vent in the back of my house! Im in a bilevel. Not sure how the dryer vent would've been all the way up there. Been trying to call and get in touch with them for days and no response. The girls in the office have been sympathetic and kind. I was not happy at all with the service on so many levels. I should have know when I tried to get more detailed info from the lady at the office that things would be rough as she could not really give me any info. Then the team showed up and tried to up sell me 300 + $$$ When I said I only want what I already paid for the attitude changed dramatically and Simon was no longer interested in talking to me and really rushed through the project. The shop vac they used was filthy... had no attachments just a big open end.. the team spread out quickly throughout the house which I didn't really appreciate either as you could not keep an eye on them. We bought the Groupon deal. One of the techs knocked a pitcher off a shelf in our kitchen during the service and did not tell us about it, he just picked it (and the two broken pieces that came out of it) up and put them back on a different shelf. We didn't discover that it was broken until later that evening. We managed to speak with one of the two guys that evening, who said it wasn't him, must have been the other guy, (and still had the nerve to try to talk us into an additional $250 worth of service with them!) and said he would talk to his boss and have someone call us. That didn't happen. I have called the office several times myself in the two weeks since trying to speak with a manager, and my husband has also called. No one has bothered to call us back yet to address this or offer any sort of recompense for the broken item. Therefore I can't recommend this company to anyone else. read more

I understand the need for further service after so When that happens, I'm fine getting a quote to decide further. My problem is I was mislead by the technician based on what he quoted me and how it was different from what the female owner told me. I purchased a Groupon for an air duct cleaning and deodorizing treatment. I was told this takes 90 minutes to 2+ hours. The team showed up around 11:20 and started loading up their car by 11:50. They used a shop vac on my vents, which anyone can do. They did clean my dryer vent as listed in the package and I was happy with that. I think they hooked up something to my main line and used negative pressure to "clean" my system. I didn't see it used, nor did I hear it running so I can't really say for sure but I hope they did in fact do this as it was included in the package. They didn't do The deodorizing treatment. I even went down to the main system and still could not smell anything. The tech at my house quoted me an additional $450 for deep cleaning and sanitizing (after taking off $50 for the Groupon I paid for even though I paid more than $50). He specifically said the deep clean does not include anything the groupon package includes, which is why it's so much more. I called to ask further questions i assumed a deep cleaning covered the basic air duct cleaning I already paid for. The female owner I spoke with originally confirmed this. Based on the number of vents I have, it would be $275-300 ($225 for 10 vents plus $10 for each vent after that) for a deep cleaning service, which would include scrubbing the lines of any dust build up, plus the dryer vent cleaning and deodorizing. I explain what the tech told me and she said she would reach out to the tech, Simon, to clarify. I told her I just wanted to know for sure because two different stories made me feel like I'm being scammed or mislead. She called back, very rude and denied everything. She kept interrupting me as I was only trying to explain Simon told me I would need to pay for both, even though the women said the deep clean already covered what the Groupon included. She became very rude and told me I'm more than welcome to find someone else and pay $1000-2000 for the same service. I told her I will be complaining elsewhere and she called me rude. I then received a call from Simon, who turns out to be another owner. He was very rude as well and denied my claim that the deodorizing treatment was never done. I told him to never contact me again and he said "fuck you" and I responded with the same and that I would file a complaint and to never contact me again. I then received a rude text message from Simon. I had to tell him two more times to not contact me again. I do not recommend this company. Definitely would recommend. I just bought a house in the Hyde Park area. It is an older house, but I could tell just by looking at the vents that they had not been cleaned in years. I was having issues with my breathing, so I decided to have them cleaned. You have to schedule pretty far out in advance, but it is because they are very busy. They gave me a time window of 8-11 and showed up right in the middle of that window. I opted for the full cleaning and sanitizing because my vents were that bad. The two guys that cleaned my vents did a great job. He recorded the vents before and after and I could not believe the results. He also showed me what had been caught by my filter and sucked up by the vacuum. Would highly recommend to anyone purchasing a home to have this done. read more

Best Air DC Air Duct Cleaning Scam! I purchased an Air Duct Cleaning from this company through Groupon. When I originally scheduled the latest cleaning it was Nov. 8, 2017. They finally showed up today March 8, 2018. When they arrived they got set up looked in the vents with there camera and said it looks like you will need an Air Duct Cleaning; we will be vacuuming today. Best Air Rep: The cleaning after looking inside will be $200-$500 additional. ??? I was floored. The next statement from the Best Air rep was: Who did your last cleaning? "They did a horrible job." What he did not realize is that they had done the last supposedly Air Duct Cleaning on May 3, 2016. So I asked him to provide me with a receipt describing the services he complete today and the pictures after they finished when he was done. He did not. I followed up with a call into the main office where I had originally made my appointment and was told I did not buy anything from them, call Groupon for a receipt and the description of the services is there as well. Unreal. Scam of all scams. So, me being the person I am I called back to give them a chance to actually come out and complete the service they told me they were doing the last couple of years. I was screemed at by the supervisor and told we are not coming back out for free. Call groupon if you want a copy of receipt and description of services. I would like a full refund of $59.00 plus what I paid this company in 2016 as well as a promise to pay from Groupon for a real company to come out and do a real Air Duct Cleaning. How would this make you feel? I set up an appointment to have the furnace/AC air ducts cleaned on 12/29/2014. I had $49.00 coupon for air duct cleaning service. I had to wait 5 - weeks for the appointment day, and I had to take the day off work as the appt. time window was 3 hours.(1pm to 3pm) They called at 1:40pm and said they were running a little late but WOULD be there about 3pm, UNLESS I wanted to reschedule for a date 6 weeks from then. I said no, I would rather keep the appt. for today, they said that was fine, they would prefer to do it today too, then they again said they WOULD be here, maybe a little late but WOULD be here. When they weren't here at 3:50 pm I called, and got recorded message that they closed at 4pm.? WTH? I left a message on their answering machine/voice mail, but they never returned my call. 24 Hours later; As of 3:30pm 12/30/2014, I have not received a return call or explanation from them. Very poor customer service. My guess is they don't want to honor their coupon price! Result: One day vacation day wasted. Furnace air ducts still need cleaned. The headache started with a Groupon purchase. Service for an air duct cleaning was purchased and scheduled. When the guy arrived he attempted to say that the purchase was only for a vacuuming of the vents and not a duct cleaning. Despite showing him the groupon he refused to do service. We then contacted Jennifer at this company and eventually got on a three way call with groupon who agreed with us that the service was for a complete air duct cleaning and not just using a hand vacuum to clean vents (something we could do any time). They cancelled and rescheduled my appointments without informing me - twice! My appointment in May 2015 was cancelled without any notice, and I wasted half day of work waiting for these guys to show up. The next appointment was more than 1 month from my original, which I grudgingly took. But they did not show up for my second appointment either. I wasted half day of work again! When I called them, they told me that my appointment moved to late afternoon instead of early morning! They did not even both asking me. Their customer service sucks even worse. Total scam and fraud advertisement. I bought their Groupon which listed "unlimited vents' cleaning in the package. But when they showed up at my two storey single family house they told me that they will only do ground and basement vents and NOT the upstairs. Upstair 7 vents would cost me additional $180. Multiple talks by their tech to their manager resulted in them telling me that they cannot do what they advertised in Groupon and it should be corrected. ???? I purchased a Groupon to have the air ducts cleaned at my home by Best Air DC here in Cincinnati. When I called to redeem the deal, I was surprised to learn that I had to make the appointment 5 weeks out because they had no availability. I didn't think much of it since they had the Groupon deal out there. After the service, I've now realized they have deals out on at least 2 other "discount deal" websites. and the funny thing is they have different regular retail values - $229 & $289 value...for the exact same work! They arrived within the time range I was given, and they even called about 20-30 minutes before arrival, so that was appreciated. They arrived and started bringing some equipment - A shop vac (yea, like you can buy at any hardware store), a handheld vacuum cleaner, and large vacuum that came in on wheels. After showing them the locations of all of the vents in the home and cold air returns, the technician (Simon) started going over a few things with me about their plan for cleaning and showing me the dust & dog hair build up in one of the vents. After showing me that, he started to try to up-sell me on additional services. That additional service was to insert a 'brush' that would agitate the dust/pet hair and allow for the vacuum to get everything out of the vents. I was hesitant to have him do that for the price he quoted me. It would have been an extra $275+ for additional cleaning!! I certainly wasn't prepared for that, so I declined the offer. After his assistant started to use the shop vac to get some debris out of the vents, he came back in and said he was just on the phone with the office and he can lower the price of the additional service for me. He wrote up an estimate for me and said that I could call him if I'd like to do the service. After they left, I was feeling uneasy about the quality of work that was performed. I used a camera to get some video of the vents that they cleaned. They looked pretty good, but then I started to remember how they were cleaning them. They only used their large, commercial vacuum on one vent. They also did NOT clean 2 air returns under Negative Pressure like the Groupon said they would. I did a little research and found that they should have cut open an access point in duct work in the basement and sealed up the vents with plastic to create that negative pressure. To make things even more interesting, I called their number this morning to do some investigation on what they actually do. After I revealed to the girl I had the service done a day prior and that my technician, Simon, didn't clean them like it should be done she drops a bomb on me. Simon is actually the owner!! The whole time, he is telling me that he is on the phone with the office to see if the can get me a better price on the additional cleaning, he is basically full of sh!+. An owner doesn't need to do that - he is just pulling a bait & switch on me. A few positives - Simon & his co-worker were very nice. They did clean the vents, but certainly not the way they should have been done. It saved me from getting my shop vac out and getting a little dirty to do it on my own. He gave me a few tips on making sure I get good air circulation to the 2nd floor of my house. Be very careful, and definitely consider going with a different company if you want your air ducts cleaned. They were in & out in a hurry, which leads me to believe they kind of half a$$ed the work. They're just like a restaurant that turns tables so quickly that the service really lacks. Save your $49 or $59 for the discounted deal and put that towards the cost of a company coming out and doing an actual good job. read more

Bought a groupon for a cleaning, 59 dollars in December of 2017 when I tried to schedule it I was told it would be April 10th of 2018. My wife took off work and waited most of the day for them to show up.... about 12 she called the office and they said they had no record of us but they would check into it. Read before purchasing Groupon! The Groupon offer seems like a great deal but it only includes a maintenance cleaning and not a full cleaning. They basically vacuum the vent with a shop vac. I had to argue with the techs just to get the dryer vent cleaning that is supposed to be included. When I called the office about it they said it was up to the technician to include the dryer vent cleaning but it wasn't automatically included. Simon and his co-worker showed up on time with more equipment and materials than necessary, and I am so glad and appreciative they did! Simon explained the entire process in detail and took the time to show me what they were doing, how they were doing it, and the effects. In his initial examination of my air duct system, he discovered dust/residue from when the house was built, such as drywall dust. This was in my air system, and I was shocked. Not only did they thoroughly clean out all traces of this built up layer of contaminants, but showed me "before and after". In addition to completely cleaning the air duct system throughout the house (believe me - the inside of the air ducts looked brand new), they sanitized the entire system and then deodorized it. Halfway through the process, they took my $100+ air filter outside the clean it. I was both angry and amazed at the size of the dust balls on my filter. The air ducts were beyond filthy, and simply having the best air filter did nothing for the coating inside the air ducts. Now you would think after all this education on my part and work on their part, we would be through. No. I had researched by HVAC system and saw electronic air filters for over $1000. That was too much for me. But Simon introduced me to a product which uses ultraviolet light to further clean the air going into my home from the HVAC unit, and he gave me a discount because of the totally thorough cleaning I had purchased. This unit attaches to the duct coming after the air filter and comes with a lifetime warranty. Included in that lifetime warranty is a visit every two years to replace elements of this air cleaner, and a free air duct cleaning. Best Air Duct Cleaning provides air duct cleaning, which includes cleaning all your vents in the house outside your house. They repair and install air ducts and associated materials. They also cleaned my dryer vent, which was also incredibly filthy. Simon and his co-worker are intelligent, extremely knowledgeable and patient in their explanations and education to the consumer, and goodness, they are so friendly. I can't praise them enough for the experience and their industriousness. They take indoor pollution and the potential adverse health effects very seriously. The peace of mind I now have knowing all the filth they removed which was invisible to me is worth ten times the amount I paid. Absolutely wonderful people and company. read more

I took the day off of work and they called 40 min prior to their scheduled time to let me know they had to reschedule as someone didn't show up for their shift that day. I then was scheduled 5 more weeks out and they called today to also reschedule that appointment, another 4 weeks out. So I purchased a Groupon to have this service done on my HVAC. I waited like 3 weeks or so since I was not using the heat or AC and I was in no hurry. So, on the day of my scheduled appointment which was 12noon I get a call from their office at 12:05pm that they are running late and they are 2 hours away...How did they manage to end up 2 hours from my house? Odd. Anyway, the girl tells me that they can't make the appointment today and will have to reschedule 30 days from now. What? 30 days from now? I was expecting perhaps tomorrow or the next day, not 30 days from now. This is extremely poor customer service and poor time management. Their leadership team should be reprimanded or replaced. I don't know how this company can stay in business when their business practices are so disorganized and they cannot even manage a schedule efficiently. I would NEVER recommend this company when they treat the customers so poorly. Their front office person should be retrained or fired since she does not have the skills needed to deal with customers. I would go so far as to fire their Office Manager or perhaps the Manager of this company. Bought a pkg air duct cleaning on living social and would recommend their service. 2 men came out on a Saturday and showed me pictures of my duct work which had construction dust in them from when they built the house. In addition, I had them clean the dryer vent and a whole bag of lint was in there. Breathing better and dryer works better. Great job and very professional! read more

Simon and co. did a great job cleaning out the ducts in our house. He showed us how they looked before (with about a 1/4 inch of dust at the bottom) and how they looked after (almost like new with not a bit of dust left). I bought a Groupon for an air duct cleaning and deodorizing for $59. I read all of the fine print and it said "unlimited ducts." When they came to perform the service they said it would cost an additional $200 to cover the entire house. I ended up canceling the whole service and the guy who was there do to the work said he is leaving the company because of issues like this. He said 25% of their customers end up canceling when they arrive to do the service because of the dishonest advertising. Later the same day, the manager called me to discuss why I canceled the service. I told her the Groupon was dishonest and intentionally misleading and her response was, "I don't work on the advertising." I told her that as the manager she has some responsibility for what is advertised about the company and she said, "I just work here, I don't own the company." So apparently the management has no responsibilities at Best Air DC, perhaps that is part of the problem. I will never use them again and hope no one else does either. Save your money! read more
