I would avoid using this company. They came to my house and used a part I had already ordered as a potential fix. The issue was not resolved, but the technician left and told me everything was fixed without doing any meaningful checks to confirm it. After I called back because the appliance still wasn't working, they returned and told me they could continue repairs for several hundred dollars more, but that I should probably just buy a new appliance instead. In the end, I paid about $200 just to be told to replace the appliance. After I initially left a negative review, someone from the company contacted me and offered a partial refund for the first visit. That refund never happened. Dalton was very thorough, pleasant, and answered my questions. My washing machine made a noise and would not spin or drain. However, it worked perfectly while he was there (can you believe it??). I was standing right there--believe me--it worked fine. He told me about the 30 day warrantee, in case it acts up again. He explained a lot about the machine to me, that was very helpful. My husband called our home warranty company when one of our appliances was malfunctioning. They informed him that a particular repair company would be in touch with him. Rather than the company named, someone from Day's Appliance Repair called. They said they had an unexpected break in their schedule, and asked if we were available the next day. We are glad Day's was the company who called. The repair man arrived during the time they said he would. He even called before he arrived to let us know he was on his way. He evaluated the problem. After a call to the warranty company, the repair man returned with their authorization. They approved a replacement of our refrigerator compressor. We were sure we would have to wait for the part to be ordered, then have to wait to have it installed. To our surprise, the technician came prepared with a replacement compressor. The man who came worked diligently. He stayed for hours working on the repair. He explained that the problems the old compressor was causing also made the unit inefficient energy wise. He said that on top of fixing the problem, the new compressor will make our refrigerator more energy efficient. He had to go out to his truck several times. Each time he made sure to close the door behind him. He also cleaned up after himself. One of the things he mentioned while he was working was that the owner still works daily on jobs. The tech quickly diagnosed the problem and explained that the condition was not dangerous and if we really wanted to get it addressed it makes more sense to buy a new cook top rather pay them for replacement parts due to the costs being close to the same. They arrived on time and diagnosed the issue pretty quick. I would use them again for appliance repairs. read more

On Tuesday, around 10:00pm, I noticed water dripping from the water dispenser in the door of our refrigerator. I checked the freezer and the food was not fully frozen. I transferred all of our food to a neighbor's extra refrigerator. At 8:00am on Wednesday, I started calling appliance repair companies. Day's Appliance Repair was the only one who promised to send someone out the same day. They also had excellent ratings and reviews. Craig came out, quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad compressor, and said he'd be back on Friday. He came back first thing Friday morning and replaced the compressor in 1 hour. My 11 year old french door refrigerator stopped cooling on a Wednesday and I couldn't get anyone to repair it until Monday afternoon. I shopped for a replacement over the weekend but was not happy with the alternatives. I really wanted my refrigerator back! On Monday at 12:15 I got a call from the repair person. He arrived 15 minutes later and had the problem diagnosed in about 15 minutes. The cost of the repair was estimated at $350-$400. He repaired it and charged me $361. I'm very happy with the service. I'm new in town and a new first-time homeowner, so I haven't used a lot of service shops but I can't imagine anyone being any better, in terms of service, cost or professionalism than these guys. This shop was first sent over to my place through my home warranty when I had difficulty with my fridge. The serviceman was prompt, pleasant and fully explained the problem and showed me how to remedy it in the future (it was just that the fan in our freezer had frozen because it needed to be defrosted). When I had a problem with my dryer, I again requested Day's and was not disappointed. It was a different serviceman but the service was just as good. He came over, took apart the dryer, fixed the roller (which was broken) and also checked out the rest of the unit to see if anything other than the noise I was hearing was wearing out. He found that the belt was wearing and, rather than waiting a couple months for it to cause a BIG problem, went ahead and fixed that while he was there too. read more

I tend to be a bit anxious about using service companies with which I have no experience, since you don't know if they're competent, competitively priced and so on.
