I'll start by saying this is the body shop for a more discerning customer who actually understands…read morethat complexities of matching paint and wants things done properly, not quick and cheap. D&V has been the go to shop for my fleet of work trucks as well as my multiple project vehicles over the years and I have nothing but good things to say about their attention to detail and integrity. The most recent project they completed for me was a complete repaint of my 1991 Nissan Skyline in which they replaced the left rear quarter panel, both rocker panels and addressed various other locations in which rust had started to spread. It took right around a year which was to be expected for a project of this scope and my car looks incredible. Every panel was properly stripped, prepped and painted. The finish is consistent across the entire body, even the engine bay and trunk. The entire time my car was there the whole team was very communicative and kept me in the loop anytime they encountered something that required my opinion or additional parts/labor. There isn't another shop in the DMV that I'd trust my projects to.

As a returning customer, I can say the work and service have massively deteriorated. Only thing…read morethat went up is the price. Charged me over 1100 to paint two small trim pieces and paste onto the doors. Wanted 550 upfront. Sent me the bill on Friday, and by Monday morning gave me the "payment overdue" notice. I should've stopped there. But went for it due to past experiences. The car came out worse than it went in. Paint had tiny dents along the edges, most likely due to poor prep. They can't seem to find the door's edge for a simple alignment. One side gap was so large I can put my hand into it. Even worse? Someone decided to spray tire shine as part of the clean up, but didn't bother to properly apply to the tires. They just sprayed a few spots on the tires and let it drip. So the oil and grease in the tire shine flowed unto all four wheels. My wheels are anodized, so the grease permanently tarnished the wheels, leaving them with unsightly streaks that can't be washed off. And believe me, I tried. Bottom line: overpriced mediocre work and overall lack of care that caused more problems than solutions. Hopefully you'll have more luck, but I'm done with them. Very disappointed that it has to come to this, but this is not the shop I used to know.

Have had autobody repairs and upgrades performed at D&V Autobody/ Autobody Masters since ~ 2009…read more(1st repair was to a 2006 BMW 330xi).. After that numerous repairs/ upgrades to BMWs and Minis. The work was flawless. Big shoutouts to Ron, Kevin and Ahmad. My last super favorable repairs involved 2019 BMW M2 Competition (road debris damaged front bumper/ spoiler and oil cooler) and 2020 BMW X3M Competition (rear side bumper damaged - owner (me) inflicted). Both those repairs managed by Ahmad and Ron, respectively were what I've come to expect from this bodyshop. My most recent work was fine. The order was for refinish and paint rear bumper, lower rockers and roof on BMW X3M Competition. D&V remains very dedicated to meeting timelines and do a thorough inspection of the vehicle at check-in. When I received the X3 back, I detected a door ding and they were able to show me in the check-in pics that the ding was preexisting. The post inspection is not quite as stellar. X3 was returned with paint damage near the roof rails (which were removed to complete the roof paint work) and there was some sort of overspray on the rear roof pillar and on the lower front bumper (driver side). I was able to clay bar, for the most part, the overspray from those locations. Additionally, the interior had a very strong paint odor - still hints of it today. D&V does warranty their work and offered to repair/ repaint the paint damage near the roof rack but I've decided to hold off on that for now. Finding a great bodyshop is like finding a great barber - one hates having to search out, find and experience a new one. That said, I'm shopping around for a new shop now but haven't given up on D&V. Ron, Kevin and Ahmad have a great deal of "cred" stored up with me and I truly hope the quality and attention to detail that has had me as a customer for nearly two decades returns/ continues.

I did find a family friend that knew this shop as well and he knows the repair industry. I wish I had reached out to them first! USAA told me this was a newer shop to them but would be happy to send a referral/assignment. When I called, the young lady couldn't have been nicer. She explained the process and even why competition was having problems finding the part. She mentioned the hoops their business has to go through with insurance. However, she was not dismissive and welcomed what I had found and told me to bring the info with me. If they couldn't find a used part they would but if there were none they would present the info I found to USAA. I look forward to the relationship.

Our Lucid got hit, and this shop has been grinding through the slow and ridiculous process of getting specialty parts ordered, delivered, inspected and installed. This isn't a quick job. Nothing on this car is "off the shelf." Everything is hand-picked, VIN-specific, and apparently shipped via camel caravan. But Sean and his team haven't flinched once. Here's the secret weapon of the whole operation: **Mitszy**. She's the face of the business and the person who keeps the entire circus running. She's been unbelievably accommodating, especially with my wife's extra logistical requests during all this chaos. You know how most shops give you that "we'll call you" energy and then vanish? Yeah, not here. Mitszy actually listens, actually remembers, and actually gets things done. She's the kind of person who makes you feel like you're not just another repair ticket. And Sean, the owner, clearly runs a tight shop. You can tell quality is non-negotiable for him. They're not slapping parts on; they're restoring your car the right way. When you have a specialty EV, that matters. If you're in Northern Virginia and you want a body shop that doesn't treat you like an annoyance, Dulles CoachWorks is it. They've been nothing but straight with us, patient with the long parts delays, and consistently helpful. I trust them with the Lucid, and that says everything. Five stars, no hesitation.

I saw the great reviews here, so brought it in to see what could be done because it seemed obvious that something was just misaligned. Tech came out to inspect my car and was telling me I definitely needed new hinges! I might need a new door! This is going to run a lot of money! That they weren't going to try to investigate a misalignment because they wanted to do things "the right way!" Sure buddy. I thanked him, left and went to the body shop just down the street. Where a tech took a look at the door, determined that the A-pillar on the car door hinge had just gotten bumped out of place, bumped it back into place which fixed the problem, and within 15 seconds sent me on my way. Didn't even charge me because it was such a minor "repair" if you can even call it that. Royal might be good at what they do, I don't know. But they tried to upsell me on a repair that was thousands of dollars for something that wasn't even broken and was a component easily pushed right back into place. So definitely get a second opinion if you go here.
